Avra Beach

We have just returned from a one week stay at Avra Beach Hotel, we had an amazing time - one of the best all-inclusive hotels we have stayed at! We booked a superior twin room with side sea view. Our room was clean, modern, comfortable and well maintained throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the air con was brilliant. The housekeeping staff worked incredibly hard and did a great job everyday. The view from our room overlooked both the pool and the sea which was beautiful. The food at this hotel was great, easily the best all-inclusive food we have experienced. There were plenty of options to choose from at breakfast, lunch & dinner. And everything was always fresh, flavourful and hot. We also loved the outdoor restaurant which served Greek & Italian food during the day - amazing gyros and stonebaked pizzas! In the evening it transformed in to the à la carte restaurant, offering a beautiful atmosphere for dinner overlooking the sea. We had one complimentary visit included during our stay, which was a lovely experience and we would definitely recommend. There was also the outdoor snack bar which was open from 10am until midnight, providing a variety of sandwiches, cakes, pastries, ice cream and much more! The fresh chocolate waffles available between 11am and 3pm are delicious! There were two bars to order drinks, they had an excellent selection of cocktails to choose from which were included in the all-inclusive package. The pool area was lovely and clean, we also loved being so close to the beach and going for a swim in the sea. I would recommend buying beach shoes for going on the beach though! The cushioned sun loungers by the beach were SO comfy! Every single member of staff that we encountered was friendly, helpful and happy to assist with anything we needed. They all worked really hard! Although we didn't take part in the entertainment programme, the entertainment team were always energetic, funny, and welcoming. One evening, we used the hotel’s express bus service to go to Rhodes old town one evening which was great, it cost €7 per person return. Our flight home wasn’t until gone midnight, however we were able to arrange a late checkout for €7 per hour. This had to be requested at 9am on the day of departure, and this enabled us to fully enjoy our last full day and we were still able to use the all inclusive facilities. Overall, we had an amazing experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Avra Beach Hotel. It’s not often that we would say we would return to a hotel but we definitely would return to Avra Beach!

we visited the hotel in May and the staff and entertainment team could not do enough for you! the hotel was clean and the food was fantastic. we will certainly be back!

Our first visit to this hotel, although my parents had stayed twice before. On arrival our room was very disappointing. We had booked a new twin view rooms but the balcony was facing inside the hotel with an enclosed roof. Very hot and not what was advertised by Jet2. A quick visit to reception and they did change our room with our outside balcony which was much better. They couldn't move my parents I timt rh next day, although they decided to keep the room allocated as it was opposite our new room. Their room had no garden view that they booked, it overlooked a roof and lots of dirt. The rooms, however, were fully refurbished. I stayed with my 17th year old daughter and the twin beds were very comfortable. Aircon, safe and fridge all provided. The room has separate toilet and shower but not much privacy. The drinks were of a good standard although there was often a queue at the bars due to only one member of starve serving. My parents said they had removed her self service drinks at the beach bar, coffee and water only which was a shame. You could help yourself at the beach Greek restaurant. The evening entertainment was pretty good. Live music most nights. The food was also of a good standard although not always very hot. The first 5 days were very hot but after that the temperature dropped to about 15 degrees and the hotel was freezing. The main restaurant had two parts open to the beach so was very cold. Most people had hoodies on and staff were in jackets and coats. We had to wait for a seat in the warmer area. In the bar area was also cold and it you wanted a coffee in the evening you had to go outside to the beach bar which is as not ideal in the weather we had. The snack bar was good servicing cakes, rolls, sandwiches, ice-cream, cookies & waffles all day but we never got a smile from the lady serving. Staff in other areas were far friendlier. The beach was stoney so shoes recommended. Mix of comfortable and basic sunbeds. They put more comfortable sunbeds out half way during our stay. The pool was cold but refreshing. The entertainment team were friendly and liked to chat, a real asset to th hotel. Local bus to Rhodes outside the hotel which was well worth a visit. You could also book trips direct through the hotel in reception. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not much around the hotel and my parents couldn't believe how much busier it was compared to previous visits. We stayed for 9 nights end of April.

We’ve just returned from an amazing stay. We haven’t been to Avra Beach since before we had children so this was a very different experience for us this time however we wasn’t disappointed and are already planning our next trip to Avra! This was our children’s first trip abroad. They have had the best time of their lives. Our room was clean, cannot fault anything about it. Our children loved the entertainment! The mini disco is fantastic with all the classic holidays songs and dances, the ladies who do this have so much energy and are so attentive to the little ones. The main entertainment was different every night, we cannot pick our favourite. Bingo was on a couple of nights and this was great fun also. During the day the animation team are high energy and definitely spread positive vibes. They always interact with the children but on the odd occasion my daughter was napping or they could see I had a moment without the children they recognise when to give a bit of space. The food and drink again we couldn’t fault. We got to try new things every night, everything was cooked beautifully, was hot and served fresh. My daughter is a very fussy eater but always had the option of fries and nuggets but even still we was able to tempt her to try some new things too which she occasionally enjoyed. The pool bar is fantastic offering delicious snacks all day! Our favourite go to was the pizza in the Italian. Always fresh and tasty. We aren’t the best with remembering names but hopefully we’ve got it right, we want to say a special mention to Mia and Anna (sorry if not correct) (brunette and blonde) who played and danced with our children every night. Even during the later entertainment they would sit and dance with our children or have an ice cream with them. Thank you ladies, you made a big impact on our children.

This was our second time at Abra beach absolutely loved it great hotel rooms spotless location great staff amazing very friendly especially my friend spartalis kostas and the entertainment team Sam tipi bogdan and lia are all amazing people. Me and my wife would definitely recommend avra beach resort 100 percent, oh yeah and the food was fantastic great selection and available all throughout the day and night great selection of drinks alcoholic and soft drinks
