Evita Resort

Had an enjoyable week stay at Evita resort, however definitely not a 4 star hotel. We arrived past midnight, check in process was simple enough. There was a trail of ants in our room which did disappear over a few days. Sandwiches supplied for late arrival which was a nice touch along with water bottles, never received any more after this though. The air conditioning did not work our first night, I phoned reception to which I was told someone would try fix this at 7am - nobody came. Alerted reception again & this was fixed thereafter with no further issues. The food was okay, some days better than others. We found the selection of food to be not great and at times the food was lukewarm. The gyros & pizza at the snack bar were 10/10 Was advised that towels would be removed from sun loungers before 10am if unoccupied, however only seen this done once. We frequently had to use the sun loungers on the grass area away from the pool as these would be taken quickly. The staff on the resort were lovely, especially Sam, he was great fun. 30 minute walk from the main Faliraki strip, €11 taxi if not wanting to walk.

Disappointing holiday, spent £3k + on 10 nights, wish we’d gone elsewhere. Upon arrival no signs to tell you where to get to reception. No map given to show you where to go or what entertainment was on etc. room was basic , there was a gap under the door and you could see previous maintenance jobs had been bodged. We had 1 bottle of water each on arrival and then had to purchase water from the onsite shop. Beds were made daily but only had clean sheets every 4 days? Clean towels again were few & far between, after 3 days I did report this to reception and asked for fresh ones, not what you expect from a 4 * hotel. The restaurant was too small for the amount of people using it, tables were crammed together and weren’t cleared very quickly. The food was repetitive and not very nice , even the bread was awful. The drinks machines where you could help yourself were either really strong or had nothing in them so you were just drinking the soda water - rank! Like others have said you could drink from 10am - 11pm and not feel any effect from the alcohol! The snack bar was great and the staff in there were lovely but again repetitive but was the only food my partner ate all week. Pools - the main pool was ok but didn’t see it get cleaned or the water levels checked. The slide pool was small but good fun for the kids, there were limited sunbeds by this pool most of which were in the shade. The baby pool had a broken grate which was floating around in the water, we tried to fix it as did other guests , this was reported to reception but not fixed during our stay. The only pro I can say for this hotel were the entertainment team - SAM, FARO, BILLY, JULIA & RALU were all lovely and worked hard all day to keep guests smiling. We found a lot of French guests were treated like royalty- got given prosecco on the white night - this wasn’t offered to any other guests, they had private parties with their rep even had a private screening of the French football match during the World Cup in the snack bar one evening whereas the English had to watch their match on a tiny tv in the hotel lobby. The onsite supermarket was good offering lots and reasonably priced. The nearest beach (nudist) was a good 10 minute walk and very stony. You could walk into Faliraki but again this would take a good 20 minute walk. We hired scooters which was fun but phone signal was limited so difficult to end the session - ended up with a fine! I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone unfortunately I dread to think what it is like now during school holidays! Look elsewhere- a big disappointment from TUI!

Very friendly staff and perfect atmosphere . Especially Fero and Ralu who are the lucky charm of the resort

Ralu and Fero are the perfect animators in Rhodes. We stayed in Evita Resort for 7 nights and we saw all the kids having fun. They were also super nicely to us we had a great time together. In the resort the food was awesome the rooms clean and the people were friendly. Definitely recommend it.

So disappointing when you wait so long for a family holiday and it’s not very good. Upon arrival it seemed ok ish, by the end of day 1 we said never again….. and we had 10 nights there. The rooms, we had in the 800 block, across a road to get to, so couldn’t get drinks to take back to the room in the evening as it was a 5/10 minute walk in blistering heat. Air con worked intermittently and was noisy when it did to the point it woke you up. Shower doors didn’t close and shower itself was child size. 1 tiny wardrobe so good luck if you’re there for more than a few days. Food….. terrible, like others have said thank goodness for the snack bar but given it’s pizza and gyros, if you’re happy to eat that everyday you’ll be fine, breakfast and dinner were awful, out of 10 nights we went out for 6! I have never been to an all inclusive where you can drink all day and eve and feel as sober as when you woke up! All drinks watered down…. so a waste of money paying for all inclusive. Beach towels that we had to pay a deposit for - we have better towels for our dogs at home! All frayed or torn. Given the temperatures were 33 even at 10pm, the lifeguard blew the whistle bang on 6pm everyday and shouted at everybody to get out as the pool closed at 6pm. The worst part….. we have come back more shattered than we went, if you’re going to bed at 8pm every night and up at 6am you’re fine, but if you don’t get by the pool by 7.30/8am latest there are no sunbeds, and if you do get up early everyday, don’t go for breakfast as when you come back they will be gone! I wanted a break from having to get up early for work everyday so this was a nightmare for us. The list could go on.,… only positive is the entertainment team who worked so hard to try and get everyone to have a good time. Maximum this hotel should be is 3 star. I would not recommend and feel we need a holiday to get over the ‘holiday’, such a shame as Rhodes is beautiful.
