Paradise ! A wonderful place full of wonderful people highly recommend

I truly loved my stay at this resort. Everything was simply perfect, starting with the food. There was an incredible variety of options, and everything was always fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. It is honestly one of the best all inclusive resorts I have ever visited. The service was equally outstanding. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell that everything is very well organized and that the resort operates seamlessly, which made our stay completely stress free. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a private pool, and it was absolutely amazing. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and felt like the perfect getaway. Another thing I loved was that the resort is not overly large, which creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. Overall, our stay was perfect, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, high quality beachfront vacation.

This was our fourth stay at Gennadi Grand and, after this trip, it has become a place that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I chose Gennadi Grand as the location to propose to my now fiancée, and the team could not have done more to help make it a perfect experience. In the months leading up to our arrival, Nektaria, the hotel’s Wedding & Events Coordinator, worked with me to create a bespoke proposal package. Nothing was too much trouble. We tweaked the package, arranged a professional photographer, and discussed locations and timings to make sure everything would be just right. The setting they created on the beach was absolutely stunning. As the sun was setting over the Aegean, everything was perfectly arranged and the proposal could not have gone better. It genuinely felt like something out of a film. A special mention must also go to Nikitas, who was aware of the plans and went out of his way to ensure our stay was memorable. What really stood out, however, was the attention to detail. On the day of the proposal, we realised at the last minute that the dress my partner wanted to wear that evening hadn’t been ironed. She had absolutely no idea I was about to propose but wanted to wear it for dinner. I mentioned this to Nektaria and, within around twenty minutes, housekeeping had collected the dress, pressed it, and returned it ready to wear. It was a small gesture, but one that perfectly sums up the attitude of the team. They genuinely care. Across the resort, the staff were warm, friendly and professional. The hotel itself remains one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited in Greece, with fantastic facilities, excellent restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere that keeps bringing us back. The room had an absolutely stunning view with a swim up pool offering privacy while we relaxed in the sun. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, but very few become part of your life story. Gennadi Grand now always will be. Thank you to Nektaria, Nikitas and the entire team for helping create a memory that we’ll carry with us for the rest of our lives.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, really friendly staff and definitely a five star experience. When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and comfy seats while we were checked in. Our cases were handled for us as soon as we got our of our taxi, and we were then driven to our room. There are services available to order from your room 24/7. Also found that the app was very handy, you can order food and drink to your sunbed using this and also look at the menu for the various restaurants around the hotel. We tried two of the restaurants at the hotel. The first one was Ble, the poolside Greek restaurant, and we had a 10/10 experience here. Delicious food (we had pita and tzatziki the chicken souvlaki) and the service was exceptional. The second restaurant we tried was Ten2One and we went on an evening. This was the only part of our holiday that we weren't happy with!. The service was not up to standard, the staff were moody and unfriendly. The whole meal felt rushed and the food was not fresh or tasty in any way. We had the trio of bruschetta to start, not one of the three was a traditional bruschetta as the one with tomatoes had a thick layer of pesto on the top that made it extremely unpleasant to eat. We both had the beef ragu pasta, it came out so quick so we knew it wasnt cooked fresh, and it had a strange taste to it, leaving a nasty aftertaste, Neither of us finished the food, and the table next to us had the same food and did not finish theirs either. There really isnt much choice on this menu, and the prices are high for what you get. There was (and i appreciate there is not a lot the staff can do about this) frogs along the edge of the pool which were very noisy and distracting when trying to enjoy your meal! Other than that evening, our stay at the hotel was second to none and we would definitely return. As for the surrounding area, Gennadi town has a great atmosphere, lots of great restaurants and bars so would definitely recommend doing the short walk here. The walk is along a road which does not have any pavements/sidewalks so bare this in mind if going with children- it may be better for you to get the bus. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and they come about every 45 minutes. You can ask for the timetable at reception. To get to Gennadi town the bus is 2 euro, to Lindos it was 3 euro and to Rhodes Old Town it was 7 euro (per person).

The resort covers a huge area with minimalist architecture and extensive gardens which are kept beautifully . There are at least 5 large swimming pools - the longest being 50 metres. Nowhere is crowded and there are plenty of sunbeds including those on the shingle beach . The sea is crystal clear and the small beach bar is very convenient with a lovely lady serving drinks and snacks. We were on an inclusive package with a swim up pool room which was excellent. The choice of drinks was extensive with particularly good cocktails . Bar waiter service was friendly and efficient . The drinks menu indicates with a ‘c’ the drinks included in the inclusive package . Lunch can be taken in any restaurant ( the menus change at evening time) . The APP allows 3 evening à la carte bookings. House white, sparkling and rose wines are very pleasant with the house red Cabernet Ok . During our one week stay the evening entertainment was very good with 2 good groups and a IL DIVO tribute act from South Africa . For classical music lovers there are violinists and pianists performing at breakfast and in the main bar at times. The tennis facility is concrete surface in fair condition with 2 single courts marked out . Courts bookable on the APP but never busy . Food choice is extensive with breakfast buffet being high quality and including delicious different breads and local honeys. The evening buffet is perhaps concentrating a little too much on variety and being precooked . Perhaps a couple of fresh cooking stations would work better or a daily theme with reduced choice. Service throughout the hotel was excellent and we found to be friendly and helpful . Housekeeping and minibar care were top notch. This hotel fully deserves a five star rating.
