Gennadi Grand Resort

GENNADI GRAND RESORT in the centre of Rhodes is an ultra modern, minimalistic all white hotel which we booked for 5 days after visiting Athens. This was at the beginning of May and to begin with the hotel wasn't at all busy. Good points....... Food, rooms ( we had a sea facing suite ) staff and services are all excellent. We'd booked all inclusive and tried two of their other restaurants but also found the main buffet restaurant to be easy and the food of a high standard too. I was very pleased to find that they had daily Yoga classes for all levels, stretch classes and water aerobics too. Their yoga teacher was a highlight of this holiday for me..... All the swimming pools were large, clean and safe but very, very cold so I was the only person brave enough to do her water aerobics class. They also have tennis and onsite availability for water sports Two nights they had a couple of dancers in the evening who's Tango's etc entertained us in the huge bar area and also a first rate pianist and violinist. Apart from that it was early in the season so not a lot else going on. I'm so glad I'd read earlier reviews and took our sea shoes- you definitely need them. This resort's beach was a bit like the dark gritty sand you find in the Canary Islands. Plenty of sun beds everywhere, so no problems there at all, but remember this was early in the season. Criticism's not many: I felt all the general staff were run under a strict military rule to please us, which for such a large organisation I suppose was necessary but it left me feeling slightly uncomfortable although it didn't bother my partner as he hadn't noticed. We both love minimalist houses but all the white huge expanse of the interiors ( no artwork ) we found very cold and I just wanted to place the odd bit of some fun large modern art work or bright 60's furniture to break it up, but perhaps that's just me and probably totally unpractical in high season and only my critic. The wonderful, white and beautiful blue of the properties in Lindos were a delight and well worth a visit and I'm so glad we drove to the small welcoming Kallithea Springs, but cannot imagine how these places are in high season, heaving I imagine! Recommend this hotel for all ages ( perfect for young families with a baby, some rooms have their own small pools at the front ) and great for people that don't want noisy nightlife, brilliant food and large rooms. The Safe broke down 3 times, just a nuisance and 2 times the excellent chap came speedily twice 3rd time it took a waste of an hour and a half waiting for repair. I didn't use the Spa, but would recommend they do a free treatment to entice you in.... You definitely need a car as nothing interesting close by.

It was just amazing. The dinner in the a la carte restaurants were amazing and we had a great family time. Around the hotel there is not much offer but we enjoyed our stay inside the resort... Thanks to the whole team and appreciate your attention towards our stay!!! Kisses from us xx

Upon arrival the guest relations welcomed us with drinks and treats ! During the whole week we had a great service whenever er had any questions regarding our stay! It's Fabolous!!! We will come back and we met new friends. Not just a place.... Thanks to the whole team: especially Franceska, Cassandra and Kaan from the guest relations team which made a difference!!!

Beautiful resort with a relaxing atmosphere, spacious rooms, and amazing sea view

Excellent service from the beginning until end. Great food and beverage offers. Many a a la carte possibilities and so much fun on the island. The whole team impressed by daily great service!!!
