Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama

Andreas and his staff went above and beyond to help celebrate our parents 60th Anniversary. A truly special holiday for us all. 😊

As a group of 8 ladies away on a relaxing break we found Dama Dama to give us everything we needed. We didn't arrive until after 9pm and so after a long days travelling we had to check in using an iPad, scanning our own passports etc, however the front desk were very helpful, I can see how this could get frustrating if a lot of people arrive at the same time. We were asked if we had already checked in prior to our arrival but we didn't know we could - this would have saved time. It also felt nice not having to wear a wristband! The staff showed us to our rooms and we were then directed to where we could get something to eat as the main restaurant had closed. By the time we had eaten, our luggage was in our rooms. We had the basic garden view rooms which had all the facilities you want from a hotel including a stocked minibar with a variety of soft drinks and water which was replenished each day along with tea and coffee. The bathroom had decent toiletries too. It was well maintained and cleaned daily. The pool/beach areas are great with nice thick mattresses. You can pay extra to reserve the cabanas by the pool. Beach towels are aplenty. We loved the vibe of the beach bar both during the day and into the night - the regular live music/dj was a great addition. All food and drinks were good quality with plenty of choice for all tastes. We particularly loved the Italian. Unfortunately due to the time of year the fine dining adult only restaurant wasn't open. Our only criticism was that the temperature of a lot of the food could have been better. The hotel offers plenty of activities to get involved in and the gym is well equipped. Although the hotel have a spa, it doesn't offer treatments - that would have been a great addition. We also enjoyed an organised wine tasting at the hotel which was really good. Alexa, the hotel's sommelier was very well informed. All the staff that we encountered were very polite, helpful and communicated well. This trip was definitely value for money and would highly recommend.

We stayed early May for 9 nights in a Superior Side Sea View room. The room was lovely, very clean with a great shower. We did have to ask for coffee pods a few days as these weren't replaced. The bed was quite soft but ok. The pool areas, gardens and beach are stunning and look just like the photos. It did amaze us how many people put their towels on the pool sunbeds early in the morning (there were more towels than people having breakfast). The beach sunbeds were comfortable and it was pretty easy to get one. The beach is pebbly and swim shoes are definitely required. The beach bar was one of our favourite spots to chill. We enjoyed the ice creams, crepes and cappuccinos. The 3 a la cartes that were open were very nice however my pasta was not very warm. The main restaurant food was plentiful, however as a vegetarian I would have liked some other options. It would have been nice to see some proper vegetarian meals, such as veggie moussaka rather than the vegetables in sauce or pasta on offer most days. On occasion, the food wasn't hot but I've always found that in Greek hotels. It was nice at breakfast to be able to get options of different greek yogurts and cereals. The 4 slice toaster was not adequate for the number of people wanting toast. It would be worth upgrading to a bigger machine. The whole atmosphere and experience was very relaxing and our every need was met. As other people have said, the staff and service is outstanding. We have already booked to return again next year.

Basic rooms a let down, full of kids, food was grand not excellent

We absolutely loved our stay at Grecotel Dama Dama. The all inclusive package that the Luxme range of hotels offers is second to none. There's so much included that you really feel like you've had a week of true indulgence. What made this particular hotel so special though was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, welcoming and interesting people. Raff and Thodoris were just wonderful in the main buffet restaurant, utterly charming and funny. Alexa looked after us so beautifully when we ate in the a la carte restaurants, we really appreciated all her expertise in wine and again, she was so interesting and lovely to talk to. Georgia and Georges were always there with a lovely, friendly smile, ready to supply us with another cocktail. We loved all the food and drink. The meals in both the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were very delicious. It was easy to mix between healthy choices and indulgent treats! We also really enjoyed the fitness suite, indoor pool and exercise classes. We did a number of yoga/pilates sessions and found them to be pitched at a really good level. The instructor was welcoming and had clearly planned the routines very well. The wine-tasting and cocktail mixing classes were great fun and we felt like we'd leant something each time. The beach front location was just heaven and we found ourselves down there every day. We also really loved the main pool area and gardens. There was always plenty of room to find the perfect spot for reading, relaxing and sun-bathing. Our room was lovely, we really enjoyed the spaciousness of it and appreciate all the hard work that the ladies put in to make it clean and tidy every day. We'd definitely recommend this hotel and the Luxme range to others and I'm sure we will be returning customers in the future. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our holiday so special.
