We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the beautiful surroundings to the immaculate cleanliness of our room. What truly made our stay special, however, was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Chrisi, Despina, Raf, and Panagiota for their warmth, professionalism, and endless hospitality—they truly made us feel at home every single day. We were also delighted to meet Marta from Slovakia, whose friendly attitude and helpful recommendations made our trip even more wonderful. It’s always a lovely touch to meet a fellow countrywoman when traveling abroad! We cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back. We stayed at Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama recently, and to be honest, I was really disappointed on the first day. Over the week we adjusted and made sure we enjoyed our holiday, despite the hotel being, in my opinion, a pretty poor place for the money. First of all, don't be fooled by the promotional videos and website. The reality doesn't match the marketing. The hotel is fairly small and only has two pools. The biggest issue by far is that it simply cannot accommodate the number of guests staying there. What's frustrating is that it would be such an easy problem to fix. There just aren't enough sunbeds - around the pools, on the grass, or on the beach. The crazy thing is there's loads of unused space where they could easily add more. I wish I'd taken photos because it really was unbelievable. If you're the sort of person who's happy to get up at 7am to race everyone else to reserve a sunbed, you'll probably be fine. But when you're paying this kind of money for an all-inclusive holiday, it seems ridiculous that you don't have the freedom to choose where you want to spend your day. My message to the hotel owners is simple: stop being so tight and buy more sunbeds. Don't tell guests they can't reserve them when you've created a situation where there aren't enough for everyone in the first place. There are also regular queues for food and drinks. To make matters worse, the hotel offers reserved sunbeds for €50 a day. If you're charging extra just to guarantee somewhere to sit, it's hard to call the experience truly all-inclusive. The children's pool was also disappointing. It was often quite dirty, with the water looking murky and feeling greasy at times. That's not what you expect from a family hotel, especially one charging premium prices. I eventually just lay on one of the reserved beds. When staff asked me to move, I told them to find me another bed first. After we complained, they gave us reserved beds for the rest of the week. While it solved our problem, I actually felt bad for everyone else. It shouldn't take complaining to get a sunbed - there should simply be enough for all paying guests. The buffet was fairly small, and the hotel itself feels dated and tired in many areas. That said, there was one standout feature. The beach bar was excellent. It looked modern, stylish and really well designed. It felt premium and was one of the few places where you actually felt like you were getting value for the money you'd spent. Whoever designed that area deserves credit - and honestly should be put in charge of redesigning the rest of the hotel. Did we still enjoy our holiday? Yes, because we made the best of it. But that's despite the hotel, not because of it. Would I recommend staying here? No. However, if you're nearby, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a drink at the beach bar.

We have had the best week at Grecotel Dama Dama. A much needed holiday for both myself and my husband. We have previously stayed at another Grecotel which is why we chose this one based on our previous experience. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and gorgeous with all the greenery and flowers, rooms (I think we had an older room but was perfectly fine with no issues at all), the restaurant, beach bar, all amenities were fab but it’s the people that make it the whole package. Every single staff member we’ve met has been so kind, helpful, good humour, big smiles, and the service they offer is just fantastic. We had 3 meals in the À la Carte restaurants - Caffe Italia, Asiana and The Rose - all were very enjoyable and made the week that little bit more special. The buffet restaurant and beach bar was also great for food, high quality, fresh, something for everyone. Again, the service here is brilliant with the team working harmoniously together to make an enjoyable experience for everyone. It really does make a difference as opposed to the free for all you sometimes get at other hotels. We enjoyed a few days at the beach and at the pool. The ONLY thing that I can say that’s slightly negative is that the sun beds have the same issue as anywhere you go, the hotel informs they have a strict policy on not reserving and not leaving beds unattended for long periods of time but it still happens and makes it harder to get one. There are plenty of the stackable ones you can take and place but the comfortable ones are always taken. This isn’t a criticism of the hotel however, it is an impossible thing to police. The whole hotel is extremely clean and you can tell the whole team take great pride in the hotel and in what they do. The hotel also has an app (through the main Grecotel app) which was really helpful with bar menus, activities, any services you needed etc. Overall I would highly recommend Grecotel Dama Dama to anyone - great for couples and families. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how beautiful, modern, and well-maintained everything was. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and every area of the hotel was kept in perfect condition. The attention to detail and the high standards of cleanliness really stood out. What made the stay even more enjoyable was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and their professionalism and kindness made me feel truly valued as a guest. A very special thank you to Vasiliki (Front Office) and Mr. Andreas (Front Office Manager) for their exceptional kindness, friendliness, and willingness to help throughout our stay. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensured that every part of our visit was enjoyable. Their warm hospitality made a lasting impression and was one of the highlights of our experience. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was peaceful and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy my time there. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in providing excellent service and creating a memorable experience for their guests. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Beautiful hotel, outstanding cleanliness, exceptional service, and wonderful staff. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay. I would actually give this 3.5/5 but Tripadvisor doesn't allow this. In terms of value, the hotel is certainly a 4/5, maybe even more, but buffet food is the main let-down here which is very important to us, and putting a 4 by our standards means we would return. On everything else, it delivers very well, but food would need to improve for us to come back. More details below. This is our 3rd Grecotel we've stayed at, and our first time at Dama Dama for a week during UK school summer holidays with our two young children (ages seven and two), and for just under £3,500 all-inclusive (breakfast, lunch and dinner), it delivered on what matters most to families: hassle-free time away. The pool area is very beautiful, especially at night, and the staff consistently deliver as they have done at all Grecotels we've been to - caring, sensitive, polite - having the direct line through to them via whatsapp is great (special thanks to Kiki at reception). The à la carte restaurants are fine, nothing amazing, but exactly what you need when dining with young kids: a decent meal in a peaceful setting. Where the hotel really shines is value. The constant availability of drinks, daily fridge restocks with beer and soft drinks, kids' club, and three daily meals mean you're not nickel-and-diming yourself on extras. Once you factor in what you'd spend on drinks, ice cream, and snacks elsewhere, it's genuinely good value. The main problem and let-down for us on this occasion, particularly compared to other Grecotels we've been to, was the buffet. It's the heart of an all-inclusive experience, and it's the main letdown compared to other Greek hotels we've stayed at. The buffet is on the ground-floor with a lack of natural light other than it extending to the outside, which gives it a canteen feel rather than the more refined, elegant buffet experience you get at other Grecotels. The food itself lacks inspiration — there are plenty of options, but none that really excited. Presentation is not as refined as other Grecotels: a lot of the stuff is just dumped in bowls rather than beautifully arranged and feels very repetitive. I'll compare this to other Grecotels where salads and other things are so beautifully arranged at buffets that I feel almost guilty disturbing the arrangement to get dinner :) Breakfasts leans too heavily into Western comfort food (bacon, eggs, beans) instead of celebrating Greek offerings. Small details matter too, other Grecotels will have fresh berries instead of frozen thawed ones, and whole nuts instead of ground. It feels like the hotel is going for cheaper options but then maybe given the price I mentioned above, you get what you pay for. I would have happily paid an extra £500-1k to have it match the experience I had at other Grecotels. Lunch served at beach bar is ok, great to see spit-roasted meets but again it either felt very repetitive (endless gyros..) or again too many pizzas and pastas... Please, ignore fussy eaters, let them go elsewhere. Give us all the natural delights of Greece please :) There is a part of me that wonders whether this is just nature of the hotel size - it's 300 rooms vs the 100 room hotels I've been to in other Grecotels - so it thus will always have a bit more factory vibe than that personal curated touch like you're staying in someone's home. The rooms are adequate. Our superior seaview room was fine but it was on first floor so it meant we had the view of the roof of the extending ground floor (not particularly elegant). Main bit that needs modernising are bathrooms which are in good nick but they look a bit basic. The shower had poor water pressure, and the taps are hypersensitive — turn them slightly and water comes out violently. The hallways look dated and don't match the rest of the hotel's standards. Addressing some common complaints in the reviews here and people should NOT complain about: - queues for drinks. It is FREE, of course there are going to be queues. There are multiple bars you can grab drinks from, the staff were quick, plus it's also good you have to wait a little bit otherwise you might just get people abuse drink (although in fairness, I never saw people getting out of hand) - pebble beach - seriously? Grow-up? Get the shoes for it. The hotel cannot be blamed for how a beach is... - sunbeds - if you go in busy season, of course sunbeds becomes an issue. The hotel did patrols generally around 9:30am to remove possessions and towels of those who'd reserved beds and then left (they pack them away so you can retrieve them), but that's too late in the morning — the damage is done by then. Earlier enforcement would help (I got down to the pool between 8.20-8.40am and there weren't many beds left). What the hotel should do is invest in some more beds, rather than have cheaper looking ones available in reserve which spoil the beauty of the pool. If you're a family prioritizing a stress-free week with good value, this hotel delivers. If food is super, super important how you structure your holiday, then I wouldn't do all-inclusive here (but that's what many come here for).
