We stayed at Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa for 11 nights, and unfortunately this was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We chose this hotel based on the descriptions and photos, but the reality was completely different. The hotel describes itself as a comfortable resort for adults, couples, and families, and promotes its restaurants as offering passionate chefs and gastronomic experiences that will leave guests "breathless." That was not our experience. THE HOTEL - The hotel had an internal system error which registered our restaurant reservations for 3 people instead of 4. - After paying a deposit for pool towels that were supposed to be exchanged every other day, the hotel ran out of towels, so we could not exchange them and had to wait until the next day. - Fragrance sprays were constantly released throughout the indoor areas, making it feel like walking through a perfume store. This resulted in 12 days of headaches. - Outside the main entrance and our room, a small train passed every hour ringing a bell that sounded like an ice cream truck. It ran every day until 10:00 PM. - Paper straws and rubbish were left in the drains around the pool, and rubbish bags were left on the beach without being cleaned up. The same rubbish was still there the following day, both in the sand and around the sunbeds. - The staff spoke very poor English, making it difficult to report problems because they either did not understand or simply dismissed complaints without taking any action. - There were far too few sunbeds at every pool except the activity pool. THE ROOM - We were given only one key card, and it was not possible to get another. - The toilet brush was covered with waste left by previous guests. This was extremely disgusting. The hand soap still had makeup residue and glitter from previous guests. There was broken glass on the balcony when we arrived. - Despite stating our room preferences during booking, we were placed directly above the main entrance where the bar is located. As a result, we experienced: - Constant noise from buses. - Noise from the bar every evening with live music and World Cup matches late into the night. - Loud guests in the atrium arguing loudly. - Housekeeping was not really housekeeping. The beds were made, but there were still beard hairs in the sink, dust under the sink, and the "clean" bed linen had stains. - The bed was as hard as stone, and the pillows were hard and misshapen. FOOD AND DRINKS - Around 90% of all the food served was tasteless: - Dry meat. - Cold dishes (at best lukewarm) that should have been hot. - Runny crème brûlée. - Guacamole that was clearly not homemade, as the chef poured and served it from a large industrial glass container with a label. - Salad and "fresh vegetables" had been cut several hours earlier. - Grainy yogurt. - Synthetic juice that many guests diluted with water. - Bread that was dry like cardboard, and the "butter" reminded us of 1990s Lätta. - The snack pool by the main pool was, like everything else, a deep-fried nightmare. Their pasta salad was not a salad—it was cold pasta, red beans, and boiled chicken mixed with mayonnaise dressing. Their wraps were quickly "heated" in a pan and therefore ice cold inside. Every hot dish was served with boring and many amounts of fries. - At the Italian restaurant we were served bland and tasteless tomato soup. As our 8-year-old said, "It tastes worse than the one we get at after-school club when they make soup over a campfire." The ravioli main course consisted of three small ravioli. The pasta was raw and undercooked, while the meat filling was dry. The spaghetti carbonara was tasteless, contained about ten small pieces of bacon, and was covered with a bland "Parmesan." The spaghetti was once again undercooked and lukewarm. The arancini had clearly never been near risotto as advertised. It was simply two lumps of rice with a piece of cheese in the middle, deep-fried but not enough. Hot on the outside and ice cold inside. We left the desserts untouched because they were unappetizing. A huge disappointment. - Every "cocktail" was served from a machine. The "bartenders" placed the glass under the machine, pressed a button, and that was the drink. If you were lucky, it was shaken with ice, but not always. Even a Gin Fizz came from the machine. We ordered two strawberry daiquiris. They came from the machine, were shaken with ice, and poured into a glass. Normally you would expect a frozen blended drink, but instead we received a watery drink that tasted mostly like strawberry cordial. OTHER GUEST Far too often we experienced other guests showing no consideration: - Balls flying across every pool from morning until evening, and on two occasions they hit us and knocked our drinks over. - Despite the hotel's rules, a large number of sunbeds were "reserved" every morning with towels, while many families searched unsuccessfully for a place because those guests did not appear until 11 AM or 12 PM. - The hotel states there is a dress code requiring appropriate clothing for dinner. This was laughable, as people arrived wearing football shirts, flip-flops, swim shorts, worn-out T-shirts, and generally clothing that clearly did not meet the stated dress code. - At every meal, other guests pushed ahead in line to get the last of the food. Positive Experiences: - The room was a good size. - The pool depth was good for the kids. - The lifeguards at both the main pool and the activity pool were attentive and engaged. - The buffet restaurant had a large refrigerator with fresh fruit available. - The weather was fantastic. WARNING: 5-Star Tasteless Noise and Rudeness! This was without question the worst holiday we have ever had. We are posting this review to warn other travellers before they spend their money on this hotel.

Stayed for 9 nights in a room with a private pool, room no.4038 nice clean room and bathroom. Hotel lovely and plenty of choice at mealtimes, always found something to eat and food was of a good quality. We ate in 3 A la carte restaurants the seafood, the steakhouse and the Greek food was very good in all. Staff overall were very polite and helpful. Swimming pool was lovely and a nice temperature and always plenty of sunbeds available up until about 10am, so no need to get up at a stupid hour to reserve. NEGATIVES. Only really 1 main bar to go to in the evening with entertainment and gets extremely busy and often no seats left after we had had our dinner so had to sit in reception with our drinks. The beach here is very dissapointing, just looks like wasteland with dead grass and weeds really does need some time and money spent on it to make it more appealing. Cocktails are also dissapointing all pre mixed and come out of a machine, tried a few on the menu but taste nothing like their namesake this too requires some thought. Overall we had a lovely stay at this hotel they just need to iron out a few faults.
