Rhodos Horizon Resort

Enjoyed the hotel, nice rooms, customer service is meh, the reception staff are lovely and so willing to help out and one lady in particular in the restaurant was so friendly! The restaurant staff are very rude sometimes and do talk about you, I was unaware of a dress code for one of the places in the hotel until the staff members pulled a dirty look and told me that I had to leave the activity due to the dress code and so I asked them where the dress code is and they walked away. Apart from this experience the rest of my holiday was amazing and would definitely recommend!

Hotel performs just fine, solid 4 stars. Cleanness and all inclusive is as promised. Also I do agree with those positive reviews I read before booking. I list my negative experiences, not many, but here they are: Shower space is uncomfortable narrow for large man, it is not good for a woman either. And a’la carte experience is lack luster, mainly because of the hotel building layout, young inexperienced (stunningly beautiful) staff and food being same as on buffet.

My Sister and I have just returned from a 10 night holiday at the Rhodos Horizon Resort it was my sisters first time there and my 14th ( I used to stay at the Belvedere Hotel which became the Rhodos Horizon Resort ) The welcome you get and meeting up with old friends Maria and Ivona who can't do enough for you. The food choice is great .the cleanliness is first class. We got the room we requested with a beautiful sea view.We Thankyou all for making our stay with you a special memory for us both. We travelled as two couples. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the strip and about 30 minutes walk from the Marina and the Old town. The rooms are spacious with clean with soft towels, toiletries, hair drier, crisp white bedding, comfortable beds & pillows, a free safe, plenty of hanging space and hangers. AC was very silent and individually controlled, fridge quite cold not just a cooler and filled with soft drinks, beer and water. We paid extra for a sea view room and the views were amazing especially at sunset. We asked for a higher floor room and we got one on the 5th floor. I am glad we did this, because the sea view rooms overlook a very busy road and traffic can be heard even if the balcony door was closed. I expect lower floor rooms will have more traffic noise. Food was always very hot and varied. Delicious starters, main courses and dessert were served every day for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Even though the hotel is all inclusive, food stops at 21:30. Unfortunately we arrived in the hotel for check in at 22:00 and we had only small rolls with different fillings to content with. Being Type 1 diabetic this was not what I expected. If I had some sort of warning from TUI about this, I would have bought myself some food on the plane or in the airport. So word of warning people, if you arrive after 21:15 you get no dinner. TUI should sort this out. Entertainment by the animation team was varied and they worked very hard to entertain the guests both during the day and in the evening. Unfortunately the evening entertainment laid on by the hotel was very hit and miss...some were very good, some acts not so great. We were there during the World cup so we had options... I suppose. The pools (3 of them) were clean and quite big. Unfortunately like other hotels, the rat race at 8am was experienced every morning. It was actually funny to watch from our friends' balcony that overlooked the main pool. I had to get up early just to witness it with my own eyes. The hotel accommodates different nationalities... there was not one nation does it more than the rest. It happened every morning by different nationalities. Last but not least a word about the Staff. All Staff are amazing, very friendly and they work their socks off even when it's scorching. There was only one barman in the pool bar that didn't impress us. We felt he treated guests differently - some were allowed more than 2 drinks at a time, others only 2 drinks at a time. We didn't find him very approachable unfortunately. The Staff at the Belvedere bar were nice whenever we drank there but we found this bar to be warm and the music echoed, as the area is all open plan. But our favourite bar was by far the Sunset Bar. (we called it the Happy Bar.) The Staff are absolutely amazing in this bar both during the day and at night. Every single one of them deserves the utmost praise and gratitude. They made our holiday extra special. The main Staff namely Martin, Dimitra, Ianna and Jampiero welcomed us from the minute we had the first drink. Thank you very much for your hospitality, your care and your affection. All four of you are a massive credit to the hotel. Keep on being you guys. Maybe one day we shall see you all again. I totally recommend this hotel and if I get a chance again in future, I will not hesitate to stay again.
