Rhodos Horizon Resort

We had a sea view on the 5th floor. Room was large with 4 single beds and was split so almost had 2 rooms. Very clean and staff all lovely and very attentive. Dora in the main restaurant is a diamond and looks after everyone. Even though we were only there 5 days. Perfect stay.

Just returned home on 31/7 . It was my sixth visit to this AMAZING hotel. I dont even know Where to begin 🤷🏻‍♀️ so here goes : Food 10 out of 10 ! Delicious as always. Room 10 out of 10. Staff are 10 out of 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eleni , Dora, Boss at the restaurant, Thanos my darling chef , Mailinda at the bar, Ilona at the reception and the rest of the staff. 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 Everytime I arrive it is like coming home. I highly recommend this amazing hotel and cant wait untill next summer to travel there again.

2nd Visit - Sadly our first visit was fantastic I couldn’t have wish for a better hotel however this time round has not been as good. I can’t believe I am actually going to write some negative review. Yes everyone visits are better/worse than others but just take on bored everyone comments. Negative comments first Staff It’s if your face fits these are the only time you will fit in with some staff. When some staff see guest walking they approach them walk them to their tables and give them their drink but this is if your face fits. Some Bar staff upstairs in main restaurant are rude don’t even speak to you and when you ask for a drink they stand there ask the next person does there’s and then come back to you. It got to the stage I started to avoid the bar upstairs and I didn’t even want to eat upstairs due to the rudeness. When you report it to management via email you get nothing back which is disappointing. There is also many waitresses who are so rude and they even come to your table and remove the table cloth when you have not even finished. I witnessed this when a lady just put some puddle in your mouth an then the lady walked up to the table started putting her phone, glasses in her hand so she could get the table cloth. My partner had an injury - Some areas could do with a paint up and refurbishment, missing tiles in the relax pool a big cut your foot hazard and the decking in places also needs attention. I ripped my big toenail off all because I was we messing about but this was done with my sliders on. He hurt himself on a piece of worn decking that was loose. Blood still everywhere and even though I pointed this out to them. The blood was still in the corridor up to my room door. It was still there when we checked out at 545pm 3 days later. Al A Carte I asked for no pepper due to be allergic to it. They put it on my steak I had not idea, my god I was struggling, panicking and came out with lips like Bart Simpson. They didn’t seem to care, I was as drinking water as fast as I could but nothing help. When I said did it have pepper on they said yes no sorry! They didn’t check on me they just left me nothing got written up the chef didn’t even come out which I was as she shocked. The food was lovely apart from one evening where my partner had to make a complaint. It was my partner main meal on our last night wasn't cooked properly. Other times we had visited the Ala Carte the food had been great. Food - Food not as 2024 very repetitive and same old same old everyday last time there was different things each day. Found the food clap cold twice and was ine of the first in to the restaurant on one of those occasions. The head waiter once again was good but seemed very stressed with his staff a lot of the time and he shouts at them I front of everyone. Animation and entertainment could be a lot better again I don’t no what has happened in the past 2 years but it’s not as good. They need to try more to get ppl involved as again it’s if your face fits. Remember we have all paid to be there and to be treated correctly. The hotel across the way was rocking every night which we did lis I n to mot nights. Positive - Reception warm welcoming always there to help and support when needed. Car hire fantastic I would personally recommend doing this you only need it for the day. Our cleaner for us was exceptional very clean room and fresh towels dally and a well displayed bed. The housekeeper left us gifts/treats nothing we ever too much for her. We go round the quiet pool as it’s lovely n peaceful you can just chill out. We never struggled for sun beds. A huge shout out to Martin and Ianna these two were great and nothing was ever too much. They were always smiling n chatting us, Martin remembered us from 2024. The question is would I come back? I’m not sure!! The hotel need to listen and read the reviews because there are a lot of things that need to changed.

My wife and I stayed at Rhodos Horizon Resort for a fortnight. We were allocated a sea view with balcony room on the second floor which was great, we were able to watch the ships come and go from the port on the north of the island. First time we had done all inclusive, having this available was wonderful. Food choices for meat eaters were varied and changed daily, a little bit less though for us vegetarians, but we generally had something interesting to eat most of the time. The hotel is very well run, everything is spotlessly clean and all the staff are friendly and professional without exception. A big thank you must go out to both Rafaela and Ioanna for always being so happy, helpful and friendly, it really made our stay here memorable and special. Rhodes is a gorgeous island, lots of history within walking distance (20 mins to old town) and the tourist bus is a must.

What a shame and let down this hotel was, expected so much better of TUI. There was zero atmosphere given no music apart from when the entertainment team arrived around the pool to do games or when the evening shows are on hense it was quite dull even the staff were bored. We also requested a sea view room, had we had known the hotel was on a busy road prior to the beach we would have requested a pool view room as the road noise was quite bad even during the night. The food was the same every day, so we actually ate out twice at the Italian restaurant on the roundabout which was lovely. There were only a handful of staff that were lovely and genuinely took pride in their work. The ladies in the restaurant who made the best omelettes and fried eggs. We're so cheerful and welcoming. Also a big shout out to both Dora and Maria in the restaurant as they were also fabulous. And the best bartender for cocktails was Ermioni in the Belvedere bar. Rhodos pool bar staff were the worst, quite rude on occasions also. For all it was self service on the beer, wine and soft drinks I would have thought this was optional and you shouldn't be chided when asking at the bar for a beer or a soft drink. Sunbeds were hogged all day by towels from 8am and un-used for upto 6 hours most days. Lack of outdoor seating tables / chairs for on an evening. All inclusive ending at 11pm especially when the bar is open till 1am. Why have a gym which was always empty when it could be turned into a function room showing live sports or music channels etc. So many TV'S in the hotel, which were never on.... Spent so much money on this adults only all inclusive holiday to Rhodes so disappointed.
