Sun Beach Resort

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, specially Marina, always welcoming, and willing to help. I really appreciated the excellent service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

We booked to go here for my mams 60th as the reviews and pictures looked amazing and we thought we were getting an amazing holiday. Now one part of the hotel is but be carful because us and I watched throughout the whole week most people arriving got sent to the other part across the road the first part I would say is a 4 star but the second one I wouldn’t even call it a 1 star. When we arrived to the second part we got put in a room where the beds hadn’t been changed from previous guests bins hadn’t been emptied the fridge hadn’t been emptied and there was two tiny towels left and we were a group of 3. We went to complain and told they would get it sorted and cleaned we said we were going out as we arrived late so the restaurant was closed so we needed to get some food and drinks, they said that’s fine they can go in a clean while your out. We arrived back to only the bin being emptied so we rang down and told them again, again we were told this would get sorted so we waited and there was a knock on the door to a staff member handing us one towel and they walked off. We also found the previous guests pants on the chair so we went down for a 3rd time to complain and told there’s nothing we can do till the morning, we asked for recurrence that this previous guest wouldn’t walk into our room which they said it won’t happen, but there was no guarantee from them to put our minds at ease. Once we woke in the morning and opened patio doors we were greeted by a derelict building piled full of mattresses we were suppose to have a garden view. The air con wasn’t fit for purpose didn’t even blow any cold air out. The pool area you had to be up very early if you wanted a sunbed and there wasn’t enough for the amount of guests they had people were reserving them and then not coming to them until about 2/3 in the afternoon. Around the pool I watched one of the entertainment men break the tile where the water goes down when they were doing water aerobics and then a couple of days later I witnessed a kid fall through one hurting herself. Also if you go on the website and look at the photos all you see is the lovely photos of the first hotel there is only 2 of the other part and there the reception and bar none of the rooms. What was suppose to be a family celebration turned out the be a nightmare holiday and I would not return again. They need to make it known to people it’s two separate parts and the other one is run down basic hotel that doesn’t reflect the price we paid.

Very disappointing stay at Sun Beach Resort, Rhodes. We booked this hotel expecting a 4-star beachfront resort experience, but what we actually received was very different On arrival, we were informed that we were staying in the Garden View section across the road from the main hotel. This was not made clear at the time of booking, and it immediately felt misleading. The Garden View accommodation is not simply a different room type – it is a completely separate annex with its own reception and a noticeably lower standard compared to the main beachfront hotel. It does not feel like part of the same resort. Our room was very dated and not what we had booked. We had requested a double room but were given a triple with three single beds. Despite raising this several times, nothing was done to resolve it. The view from our room was also very poor, overlooking derelict buildings and piles of old mattresses, which was extremely disappointing. Throughout our stay, we felt like second class guests compared to those staying on the beachfront side We also discovered that not all facilities and restaurants were accessible to Garden View guests, and even breakfast on the main side came at an additional cost. This was never explained prior to arrival and felt very misleading. The food quality overall was below what you would expect from a 4 star hotel, apart from the 2 à la cart meals in the dion restaurant which is where I expected the standard to be across the whole hotel. so we ended up spending extra money eating out just to have decent meals. On a positive note, the staff we did interact with were friendly, and the facilities on the beachfront side of the resort did look very nice. However, the difference in standards between the two sides of the hotel is too significant for the whole resort to be advertised as a 4 -star experience. Overall, the lack of transparency and consistency across the resort made this a very disappointing holiday, We would not choose to stay here again.

We have just returned home from an amazing stay, and I honestly can't praise this hotel enough. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every member of staff made us feel welcome, cared for, and valued. A huge thank you to Marina in the restaurant. She was always so kind, friendly, and helpful, greeting us with a smile every day and making every mealtime a pleasure. I'd also like to say a massive thank you to the animation team. They were fantastic with all of my children, always making them smile and showing so much patience. A special thank you goes to Arvid, who took the time to get to know us personally rather than just seeing us as another family. My daughter, who is autistic, absolutely loved spending time with him, and his kindness and understanding meant so much to us. Another special mention goes to Dimitris, the lifeguard. He was brilliant with my children, always chatting with them, keeping them entertained, and helping to keep an eye on them so I could actually relax for a while. He was friendly, approachable, and made me feel completely at ease every single day. The resort itself was spotless. Everywhere was kept incredibly clean, and there was always plenty of food to choose from, even for my very fussy children. They especially loved the dessert selection! During our holiday, both of my daughters became unwell, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. Reception quickly arranged for cleaners to come and help clean our room, organised taxis to the hospital, regularly asked how my daughters were doing, and checked in on us throughout our stay. Even though they were clearly busy, they kindly arranged a late check-out so my youngest daughter could stay out of the heat while she recovered. Their care and compassion meant so much. Overall, we had an incredible experience. The staff, the location, the cleanliness, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. There was always something to do, and every day gave us something to look forward to. We made wonderful memories that we'll never forget, and we would happily return. If I could make just one suggestion, it would be to consider fitting safety locks to the balcony doors. My son sleepwalks, and one night I woke to find him opening the balcony doors. They are very easy for children to open, and as I was travelling alone as a single mum with three children, it made simple things like showering quite stressful. I think additional child safety locks would give families with young children extra peace of mind. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so special.

Semina went above and beyond to help us, doing her best to arrange our room as early as possible so we could rest. She was extremely helpful, professional, and attentive throughout the process.
