Sun Beach Resort

Very clean hotel, staff were all very helpful and friendly. A definite divide between the garden view and beach front wing. Would recommend the beach front!! The adult only pool had a great relaxed sunny vibe. However found the pool bar a tad expensive at almost 4 euros for a paper cup of coke! Cans at the supermarket 1 euro!! No subbed wars, but 6am was the prime time to put your towel down, then most annoyingly they were used for hours!! When staying in the beachfront ground floor apartment the grass was watered every morning leaving a mud pit in front of the apartment!!! would have preferred a sandy beach but the sea was amazing. Definitely recommend beach shoes.

We stayed at Sun Beach Resort and while there were some positives, unfortunately our holiday was overshadowed by a serious incident on our first day. The rooms are clean and spacious enough, and the beachfront rooms look lovely at first glance. However, security is a real concern. Our ground‑floor room backed directly onto the public beach, with no fencing, barrier, or controlled access. Although we appreciate that the hotel cannot take responsibility for items not stored in the safe, our room was robbed on day one — €200, £140, and Ray‑Ban sunglasses were taken. We requested a room change because we no longer felt safe and our children couldn’t settle, and we were moved to a second‑floor room. Still, this meant spending our second day at the police station and repacking everything we had unpacked 24 hours earlier. The complex feels very disjointed, with a main road running directly through the middle. It doesn’t have the cohesive feel you’d expect from a 4* property. The adults‑only pool is stunning — calm, modern, and beautifully designed. However, it’s not included in the all‑inclusive package. There is a minimum spend per bed to use the facilities, which was very disappointing, especially if you were hoping to relax there while your children were at the kids’ club or with family. The beachfront bar and restaurant are also not included in the all‑inclusive, something not clearly advertised on the website or booking sites. The pool near Dion Bar is modern but extremely busy. The larger pool is more spacious but feels dated and in need of attention. While we were there, a boy cut his foot on a damaged drain edge and required four stitches. The drain was replaced within minutes — which raises the question of why daily safety checks aren’t carried out to prevent incidents like this. The buffet food was genuinely lovely — varied, tasty, and good quality. This was one of the highlights of our stay. This hotel is not a 4* as advertised. Certain areas reach that standard, but overall it feels more like a 3* at best. The photographs online paint a more polished picture than the reality. With improved security, clearer advertising of what is and isn’t included, and more consistent maintenance, it could be much better.

Just returned from a 10 night stay here! We stayed in a superior 2 room seaview apartment in the beach wing, family of 5 with kids 19,17 and 14. Hotel spotlessly clean, staff really helpful. We went self catering and so many great restaurants only a few minutes away. Adults only pool great as was the family pool. 14 and 19 year old loved the daily water polo! The usual sunbed situation sadly and need a towel down by 8am to secure a lounger. Witnessed many people reserving sun beds with towels to not return for hours. I don't agree with reserving bed with towels but if you can't beat them join them. Went to Rhodes old town using hotel shuttle bus €4.50pp each way as was very efficient. Would definitely return as something for everyone. Would recommend beach wing and sea view.

When we first arrived on our holiday our first impression was that it was clear one side of the hotel had been used in all the pictures we saw when we booked it and the side we were staying in didn’t look anything like what was advertised. It was very dated, however the room was spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the shower was great. Despite the aesthetics, our side of the hotel turned out to be amazing!! We shouldn’t have judged it by the looks. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and they couldn’t do more to help. Our room was cleaned every day with lovely little touches left, which made my daughter smile. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and flexible when we arrived as they were about to close one afternoon. The entertainment staff were fantastic and made the trip!! A special shout out to Marty and Dylan who were incredible with my little girl and couldn’t have made her feel more welcome. They always had time to talk to her and got her involved with everything. It was a really great family holiday and one none of us wanted to end. Thank you to all the staff who made the holiday so great.

Not a 4 star hotel iny view . Very clean and staff seem friendly but our room was in shade all time
