The Ixian Grand & All Suites

The Ixia Grand and All Suites is a stylish modern hotel overlooking the seafront in Ixia. It’s twenty minutes by bus outside of Rhodes Town in a mixed tourism/residential area. The hotel complex is beautifully landscaped and has two main swimming pools and a third quiet pool set within a landscaped central garden. This is our third visit in as many years and the things that bring us back the most is the fantastic food and the friendly staff. We went all inclusive which means you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main buffet style restaurant or in one of three themed restaurants. The standard of cuisine is high despite the number of guests and the large variety of dishes that are available every day. The waiting staff are rushed off their feet but always treat you as an individual and always with respect. A bar service is included with the all inclusive package but the alcohol served is not the best. This doesn’t bother us as we don’t drink but it might put some people off. The rooms are spacious and most are designed in a contemporary style. There are a small number of older rooms that are due to be redesigned. We were allocated one of these but were moved to a better room when we asked. We are booked again for 2027.

Firstly, staff are all really friendly and welcoming, you couldn't ask any more of them. Garden view room overlooked the quiet pool, sun on the balcony all day, air-conditioning was rubbish and didn't keep room cool at all. Hairdryer is one of those really slow ones in bathroom area, 5* hotel, i would have hoped for better air con and hairdryer. Mini bar is included in AI so was nice to have regular top ups of cans of pop and bottle of water. Rooms cleaned dally and ours was very good. Bar staff were ace, 2 of us on holiday and never had trouble getting 4 drinks, order from sunbed is fantastic!! Restaurant staff were fab, waiters and waitresses, we didn't have any issues at all. Greek restaurant in site was fabulous. Night time, some queues for drinks but never waited too long at all. Nowhere to sit at night, inside was far too hot, outside terrace was full so we just sat round pool which stood suited us. Fabulous sunsets and chilled area at night, be nice to have some throws out at night as it can be a little cool, and no other option to sit due to limited indoor space. Generally good hotel, disappointed with little aspects - example 4 of the 8 umbrellas at the quiet pool were damaged, from day 1 if we see that why do the staff not and why leave them looking scruffy. Remaining umbrellas were all filthy, for hotel that is seasonal you'd expect a little more attention to detail so early on year. Pool towels you can get daily from quiet pool area. Location- not too many bars in immediate area, not really for us. App is good, but reception could give you a little more info on arrival rather than leave you to fathom it out. They have a minibus you can book to various locations, which we saw when we were checking out. Not mentioned on the app, nor was it mentioned when we checked in. We did visit a few places using get your guide. All in all, great hotel for AI for price we paid, too little in immediate for us to return, which is no fault of the hotel as we had a fabulous week.

Came here a weeks break to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Stunning location, room was good. Had a spa treatment by jim which was amazing. Went for an aloe treatment which helped my sunburn alot. Everything you could want and more. Will be returning. Nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of food and drink selections so you won't be disappointed

Myself and my partner had a couples massage today with Eva and Antonia. We had opted for the Cretan massage which was 70mins full body using traditional Greek products and techniques. The girls were brilliant, so professional and lovely I couldn’t recommend them enough. I have a facial tomorrow and I can’t wait!

Me and my sister was at the spa. And Maria and Jim were amazing! They took really good care of us and did an fantastic massage on us! Can really recomend everyone to try!!
