We paid for an upgraded service we never got. Avoid this hotel! We upgraded to the “my favourite club.”. This should give exclusive areas and access to an a’la carte restaurant and superior drinks. The restaurant was closed for all but one day and when it did open it was not in the a la carte restaurant but in an area of the buffet. The food was AWFUL! It took 30 mins for the so called welcome breads to come, then a salad - between two! No drink service so we we going to the bar..... I could go on but there too much! The buffet was shocking - the warmer plates were broken so all the food was lukewarm and very repetitive. The salad at times was mouldy. Breakfast was totally chaotic, with food items and plates regularly running out - only two coffee machines which needed cleaning and filling up after a few cups creating long queues. Shout out Alex the restaurant manager as he was a superstar trying to keep it all together but sadly it was beyond him! On arrival we could not check in so were told to have a wander and our luggage would be stored and they would call when the room was ready - no call came and when we went back to reception our luggage was still sitting there! There was no bottle of red wine, no managers letter as advertised and we only had two bottles of water for the whole stay. The preferred areas were not clearly signposted so all guests were using them and it was not monitored at all. The so called exclusive reception lounge was a small area consisting of 2 tables in the lobby that everyone was using. Room was just 'ok' with an odd layout so the cupboard in front of the bed was useless as you could not open the doors! There was a very odd set of shelves that were about 8 inches wide so totally pointless. House keeping was sketchy and after complaining one day they came in a just refolded out wet towels! We did at least have a nice sea view. The gym was very badly maintained, with minimal equipment and the most disgusting mats that clearly were many years old. We tried multiple times to speak to the hotel manager, and were repeatedly told he would call us - he did not. We ended up forcing the issue by standing in reception until he came out - he was totally uninterested but at least we followed the process so that we could follow up with our travel company. Staff generally were helpful, but clearly many were untrained. Tony the barman was fantastic. DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL!

When we arrived it was raining hard and when we eventually got shown to our room 213, we had to go outside in open walkways on very slippery surfaces. The room was basic and had no wardrobes or anywhere to put clothes . The view was of another building and the shower had an open broken metal grate which was dangerous. We got moved to room 800 which was better but the air con was on constantly and couldn’t be turned off so we slept in clothes for the first night. This was rectified in the morning and a makeshift switch was put onto the wall. The air con unit was dripping water and the ceiling bowed, this was reported but never fixed when we were there . The food is mediocre and not enough choice for vegetarians , chips bread and salads all week. The pool area was lovely but beware of the people reserving beds. Although the hotel states it does not tolerate this , nothing was done about it. The rooms we saw were tired and dated and mouldy in the shower. Shout out to Alexander the restaurant manager as he was just lovely and made our experience a little better. Everyone was complaining that the à la carte restaurant was closed so those who paid extra for this had to come up to the main restaurant . All in all if you want a basic holiday with no frills then this is the place for you but everyone deserves a clean and safe holiday which this place was not

Excellent place to stay! Very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel and pool, friendly and helpful staff. Two guys from entertainment team were so nice too! The food was delicious and fresh every day. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Trip spoiled by staffing issues leading to a poor food service. Staff that were there were actually quite friendly and helpful.
