Castelli

This was our first holiday to Zante and we booked this hotel based on its fantastic reviews. We booked a swim up room to add something extra to our stay. We would give this hotel 3 stars, this would be for the rooms which are poorly designed. Like many have said the bathroom was a wet room and I mean everything got really wet you have to dry yourself outside the bathroom. The swim up pool - you have to get wet to get to the sun lounger, which would mean your towel was at risk of getting wet too, once there there is no shade at all and nowhere to get a drink without walking all the way through the hotel. The food was nice but with the kitchen being downstairs it was at risk of getting cold. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit juices rather than cheap concentrated juices which are not even chilled. There is no show cooking, it was a cook cooking eggs in the morning there was no option for an omelette. In my opinion the worst thing was the alcoholic drinks at the main bar which is the size of a small garden shed, they are such poor quality therefore making the worse drinks I have ever tasted. The staff are friendly, the owner is very present but what made this holiday was the company we met some lovely people to which we are still in contact with. Would I return, sadly no.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Castelli Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zakynthos. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. What really made my stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making my holiday memorable. The food was excellent, the facilities were fantastic, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel was outstanding. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely experience. I left already wanting to come back!

The Hotel in the brochure looked really modern and up to date, but in reality it was tired both inside, and, outside in appearance. Because our room was not ready for us we were given a "upgrade . The room itself was spacious with minimum furniture. The shower really was terrible! a wet room, that was tiny and included a very dated "shower". So no idea what condition the room we should have had would have been like. There was a total lack of comfy seating to sit and have quiet drink and chat, and the inside bar closed at 9-30pm, the good points are the food was very good and the staff were exceptional.
