We stayed at the this hotel for a week. Staff was very friendly and polite. Room is out dated needs modernized, showers keep going hot and cold all the time. Food is the same all through our stay apart from a Greek night, No snack bar as we went for all inclusive plus which is a waste of money as there's no snack or food available. Shops and restaurants are half an hour walks away. This is not an 5 stars rated hotel to us it more like 4.

We spent 10 nights in this hotel with friends , it’s definitely not a 5 star hotel, the food lets it down , very small buffet area , food never hot and takes a long time to replace when runs out The hotel is shabby , cups plates left out side rooms for days on end , cat poo on balcony twice . I stayed at this hotel when it was the Louis Zante beach and it was fabulous. On arrival I was given a room in the main hotel , the wardrobe was 3 foot tall with a 12inch rail , 1 drawer, no door , had to wait over 24hours to get a room with a wardrobe that still was small but had a longer rail . Pool area and beach area , tables never wiped as is the same in the main bar , over flowing ashtrays left for days . Drinks , only get good wine in restaurants Main bar it’s awful , also bottled Pepsi in restaurants and pool bar , but main bar it’s a much cheaper version and very sweet. On last night we was approached by Christos from customer services, who said I had to pay for the bottle of wine I brought over from the buffet restaurant, I had done this every night without challenge. He droned on about the policy , which we had no idea about , no signs anywhere in this ultra all inclusive hotel , I insisted he got the manager , which he did and was sorted out by the lovely lady manager Alpida within minutes . Overall very disappointing stay and definitely not a 5 star hotel . We won’t be back. The only good thing was the Customer Services Manager. But honestly stayed in better 4 star hotels.

Domes Aulus Zante is a beautiful hotel that manages to tick all your five star boxes whilst retaining the rustic charm of a Greek holiday. We had the warmest welcome from reception, with a complimentary welcome drink, room upgrade and rucksack with age appropriate gifts for each of our children. They were thrilled - as were we! This is a family friendly foodie resort, featuring a varied buffet restaurant and a handful of exceptional à la carte restaurants. There is something for everyone and for children, a kid’s corner in the buffet and a children’s menu in the à la carte restaurants that are well thought out and served with kids appropriate dinner plates and cups. I really appreciate that the à la carte restaurants serve up options that can’t just be found somewhere in the buffet restaurants. The quality of the drinks are premium, with well made cocktails in nice glasses, just the same if you were in a fancy bar elsewhere! No plastic cups or pre-made drinks from a carton. You do need to book your à la carte restaurants in advance, we managed to eat in all of them. The snacks throughout the day are simple; ice creams, potato wedges/croquettes, tuna and avocado wraps, basic salads and fruit. Some hot slices of pizza or crepes would be be more fitting in a luxury resort, but I’ll forgive them for the fact that there is simply so much to eat over breakfast, lunch and dinner! The rooms are rustic and charming, we were upgraded to a Sapphire Serenity Retreat room, amazing sea views and outside space. There was cake, fizz, wine, sweets and liqueur waiting for us; even in my Mum’s room there were similar treats but they had given us a few extras given we were celebrating a birthday! The bed and linen were so comfortable, bathroom on the smaller side but sufficient and the water supply always hot any time of day! The outside bar made for such wonderful afternoon cocktails and chill, the lounge music set the ambience perfectly. I think some more music elsewhere such as around the pool would have created more atmosphere. The evening entertainment is a little hit and miss/samey and it finishes at 10pm so you really have to create your own fun or venture out. We went to a couple of the beach bars and they were so fun, it helped keep our nights varied so I would recommend doing that if you like a bit of party vibes for the evening! The children’s splash park was underwhelming and set back from the rest of the hotel, we used it a couple of times and there were no other children there. I think parents forget it’s there as it’s behind the hotel; the truck for drinks and snacks were closed both times we visited too. At the beginning of the season, we had no trouble getting beds in the pool area, but I can imagine in peak summer this could be problematic with only one swimming pool. Thankfully the beach is stunning and we enjoyed multiple sightings of turtles which was absolutely spectacular. Overall this was a fantastic holiday, loved the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. Thank you Domes Aulus Zante for an amazing holiday!I’m

For the third time, we are back at Domes. Some friends also booked because we recommended it, and everyone was so happy with how kind and warm the whole team is. The choice of food and drinks is huge, and the quality is always good. And if something goes wrong by accident — because mistakes can happen — it is solved right away. We are going home fully rested, with many beautiful new memories. Thank you all for this fantastic holiday. See you in September!

Ok, let's get the big one out of the way first, it's not 5 star. Lovely setting, lovely rooms, but too many other things let it down to be anywhere near 5 star. Looking through some of the other comments in other reviews I have to agree with most of them. We arrived early afternoon on Thursday, and the earliest table we could book in the evening at any of the restaurants on site was Monday. Quite ridiculous as we were only here for a week. Our room was lovely but straight off the bat there were problems. Our fridge didn't work and there was no water in the room at all. There are two air con units, one was so noisy you couldn't use it. It's not particularly warm in May so wasn't really a big deal this time. The one shower I couldn't switch off because the tap was seized, dry hands and brute force worked eventually. The shower water temperature can be a bit erratic too. We had to make sure the room door was closed properly when we went out, it didn't close by itself. Ok, food. We managed to get to the beach restaurant Sunday afternoon instead of evening and it wasn't bad to be honest. The mixed meat for two was good apart from the leather beef part. On the Monday evening we got to eat at the outdoor street food facility. Nice guys running it but the food itself was, well, a bit disappointing. Salads were ok but the 'gourmet smash burger' was at best comical. We all had a good laugh about the size of the burger compared to the size of the bun. I was only glad I wasn't paying for it, because I wouldn't have been happy. As it was we left there and went to the buffet afterwards. The buffet at this point was the best on offer so far. I wouldn't say it's the best buffet I've ever eaten at but it's certainly not the worst. Fairy good selection, all the meat dishes were good, sometimes ran out of certain dishes, but overall plenty of food to choose from. Same goes for the breakfast buffet too, no complaints with breakfast. Okay, we tried the Italian on site restaurant tonight (Tuesday) and I have to say it was pretty good! Pretty limited menu, lots of breads, pizzas and pasta dishes, but nothing more than that. Carbonara was good though, and the pizzas too. No Italian beer but hey-ho, no big deal. I get the overall impression that the hotel could be better with more staff, even if that meant putting their prices up a bit, because it's not exactly expensive to begin with. So overall it was good but could have been so much better if all these little things were fixed. Did we enjoy our stay? I'd say yes, overall we all thought it was easily worth what we had paid, so a win on their part. More importantly, would we go back? In all honesty, the answer to this one is no, probably not.
