We stayed for one week and honestly wished we had booked longer. The beach was gorgeous, the sea incredibly clear and the hotel facilities were excellent. There was always something nice to eat and drink no matter the time of day. A truly relaxing holiday.

Fabulous location just along from natural beach where the turtles come and lay there eggs. Loved are early morning walks each day getting our steps up. The other way along the beach our lots of bars and a few taverns. And the main strip where the younger people go. Our room was a nest with garden view which was ok but not great. Fairly small for two people to be honest. But beds were comfortable. Air con was good but very noisy but you could just have a fan on . We ate in all or the restaurants and had not a problem booing on the app. Staff are very nice but would say there were often big queues in the evening at bars. Family friendly so expect lots of young children. We loved using the boats and going to see the turtles swimming . Amazing . As for planes yes you could see them in the distance but didn’t bother us the children seemed to like watching them. Food in buffet was very good we had some fantastic Greek food which we love ! Will defo be back

Definitely 5 Star There are some mixed reviews here but having returned from a Tui holiday here a few days ago, during school half term week, be assured that this is the ultimate pamper. There is plenty of beautiful food in the main restaurant, no queues and wonderful variety catering for all dietary needs so well. Romantic, quiet bookable restaurants to share wonderful evenings with loved one(s). A gorgeous safe swimming pool with plenty of loungers and a very helpful lifeguard for those who want to relax where they can watch their children. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The quiet and most beautiful part of the gorgeous unspoilt beach sweeps up to Kalamaki from the front - its so peaceful as umbrellas and loungers are discouraged due to the nesting turtles...there is literally nothing but golden sand, dunes and the sea for a good 30 min stroll. Get some advice from the locals and you are guaranteed to see the turtles swimming off the beach by pedlo or SUP (which you can hire by the hour from the beach at the hotel). The entertainment at the hotel was great, the live music nights were brilliant - fairly quiet in the cool venue which spills out to the busier terrace but really fabulous musicians with night ranging from soft rock music (these two gents, one singing and one on guitar were very talented!), to an amazing jazz band - those voices(!) and then over to string instruments another night! The team from the turtle sanctuary came in to give a very interesting talk another night ..and then discos another night. All finished by 10 which is late enough for those with children or those there to spend chatting with loved ones. I have visited this same hotel lots of times over the last 20 years - due to the beautiful location (and the Dowe Egburts coffee!!) ..but the chefs, waiters, receptionists, cleaning team and lifeguard - some of whom I recognised as they have been there for over 20 years - and this hotel is their pride and joy - the management have listened to reviews and carefully adjusted things to make this hotel even more fabulous, they are all so kind and helpful - all of the time. My daughter has complex dietary needs They would look out for us to check we had the best at every food sitting. One particular senior staff member would walk us through which food she could eat safely every time he saw us. Really kind! I absolutely recommend this hotel. Its like a retreat. Total relaxation, being completely pampered. Ps the toilet doors DO all lock but there is a knack to it!!

First off please let me write the many positives about this hotel. Location 8/10. The beachfront is lovely and there is plenty of parasols/seating lined close to the beach and always had somewhere to sit to overlook the sea view and the vista of the islands. There is no noise carrying from the lively resort of Laganas but two points worth noting:- 1.) I did hear aircraft noise landing and taking off where other reviews have said it's not noticeable. It definitely is if you are travelling with young Children and are keeping the noise down. - Appreciate this is out of the hotel control and you should factor this when booking close to the hotel so this is not an issue for me but could be for others. 2.) The gardens and forests mentioned on the websites aren't really gardens or forests in my opinion and be careful where you go as there wasn't any signage and the trail we went on led us to a fly tipping area which was being littered by a local as we walked through (Picture attached). - The hotel should look in to this as this could lead to pest issues! Buildings/Facilities. 8/10. The general buildings and facilities are clean/tidy and well maintained. There was no mess anywhere and the cleaning staff do a fabulous job maintaining such a large space. The splash area for the children is also a great idea for keeping cool and the water runs in this as advertised from 10am to 6pm so lots of time for the little ones to have fun. However a few minor points against to note. 1.) Our room had a very loud air conditioning. As soon as we checked in we noted it with the staff member who dropped the bags in the room. They admitted it was loud but advised we wait as it may quieten as the room cools. I felt it was an excuse but gave it the evening and in the end had to switch it off as it was loud enough to be a nuisance to our child. We took this up with the front desk on two occasions and never got anything done about it or any feedback so this was very poor in my opinion. 2. While the splash area is great I would recommend being careful with your children on the slide. It has water running down and shoots the kids off at the end and they graze on the floor. I observed this with 2 families and my own child was scared to use it properly. Again something the hotel should look in to here. Room and Room facilities 6/10 - The room was nice in layout and clean and tidy. My main issue was the noise of the air conditioning given we were staying a 'Serenity retreat room' the noise was anything but serene we could not leave it running overnight. Thankfully this time of year the evening wasn't too warm but this would be awful in the height of summer. The extractor in the bathroom didn't seem to be working and was full of steam after the first person used the bathroom and couldn't see in the mirror. Didn't bother complaining as they hadn't delt with the other issues appropriately. The TV seems to run on WiFi and would often lose connection and freeze. I would also point out that these room types are advertised as sea view. In my opinion it's partial as there is another building In front blocking most of the view (picture attached). Food/Drinks 2/10. - This is our major complaint with the hotel and travel operator. It boasts several a la Carte dining restraints and this was a major factor in picking the hotel. Aware of several other reviews made we requested on arrival Monday booking A la Carte and did not have anything available until Saturday, The 6th of the 7 nights of staying. This is infuriating and when I asked to speak to the manager I was denied the opportunity to do so. The buffet isn't too bad but this is not what we wanted and other hotels made it very clear about seasonal limitations. Service 3/10 - Very disappointed with the front desk in dealing with the two complaints about the air conditioning noise and the a la Carte availability. Other staff however were friendly and hard working. Felt like the front desk had heard the same complaints all too often and actually felt a bit sorry for them. If the issues above were addressed this would be a lovely place to stay but my experiences here were poor and will be following up with the operator as either the hotel or operator are not selling the hotel correctly.

Honestly, this is a great hotel and I’m pleased we chose it! Some people are never happy so ignore the poor reviews. The staff were brilliant - so friendly and helpful. They allowed us to change room as we didn’t like the one allocated. Food was delicious! A good range of food, yes some of the same staples but the rest different each night. The rooms were clean, bathrooms a bit on the small side but we managed. The beach was ok - I’ve definitely been to nicer ones but it was nice for a long walk and you could see lots of turtles if you hired a 20 euro pedalo from the beach. Sunbeds were plentiful (and considering half term we never had any issues getting 3 together). Liked the way you could look out to sea rather than at the pool. If I had to find something negative, I would say the sticky tables that are with the sunbeds. No idea why they aren’t being cleaned and glasses taken away. There was a young disabled guy working there but there was too much for him to do. The bins at the splash park were overflowing and days went by before they were emptied. Splash park was quiet - often we were the only ones there; I think because it’s not next to the pool. We took their complementary bus into Zante Town and back one night, It was really worth it - think it’s only on twice a week. The restaurants were full to book when we arrived but we asked the reception staff and they booked us into 2 straight away, no problem. People forget that star ratings are a reflection of the amount of facilities a hotel has - nothing to do with how good it is. If you don’t need a spa, gym, kids club, splash park, numerous restaurants, save your money and book somewhere else. All in all, I would recommend - it’s not Sani or Ikos but it didn’t cost Sani or Ikos money either!
