We are currently on holiday here with our two children. Hotel is nice & spacious & very clean. Nice size rooms, lovely big shower, just short on storage if there’s 4 of you. Staff are incredibly friendly & nothing it’s too much trouble. Good choice at breakfast (although more fresh fruit would be an advantage) & the evening meals we’ve had have been nice. However you need to queue at the bar for drinks before dinner & with only one bar tender it makes it very slow. Pool bar only serves soft drinks, wine & beer during the day which is fine for us. Snack bar at the pool bar served a variety of burgers / hot dogs / sandwiches etc Would recommend.

We have just returned from the hotel our first visit to the margarita but our 13th stay in Laganas but we haven’t been for 8 years. Our room was very clean and spacious the only fault it needs more storage for clothes. The staff are very friendly we especially loved Hope she couldn’t do enough for you but they all work very hard. I enjoyed the food there is plenty of choice especially breakfast. We didn’t try the snack bar but the food looked nice. We mostly stayed at the family pool but did move to the adults the last couple of days. We liked it so much we’ve already booked for next year while we was there.

Prior to coming, I was a little apprehensive due to Laganas being known as “party land”, especially as we’re a family with two children aged 11 and 9. I really needn’t have worried. Whilst the strip is only around a 10 to 15 minute walk away, you genuinely can’t hear any noise from the hotel. You can also walk to local shops and the beach without going down the main strip if you prefer. We’ve done evening walks along the beach and back through the strip around 9pm and at that time it was mainly just bars and restaurants, nothing like we’d imagined. Laganas beach itself isn’t the most beautiful beach in Greece, but there’s loads of space and it’s great for children making sandcastles etc. Sunbeds are also very reasonable, €10 for two beds and a parasol, which is a bargain. One thing I would say is please be careful with the boat trips advertised around the strip and local area. Many appear to be unregulated and people from our hotel were left stranded on Turtle Island for over 3 hours with no water, toilets or shade. We’d actually planned this trip ourselves before hearing this, but after waiting over 30 minutes they never even turned up! We’ve since booked the official TUI trip instead, which runs Tuesdays and Thursdays with morning and afternoon options. The hotel itself is gorgeous. We had such a warm welcome from the two ladies on reception when we arrived. Our room was spotlessly clean, cleaned daily, with fresh towels every day and bedding changed halfway through the holiday. There’s also a mini fridge in the room which was really useful. We stayed in a two bedroom family room and it was lovely for everyone to have proper beds rather than sofa beds like you often get in family hotels. The food has been great. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, yoghurts and more. At lunchtime we mostly ate from the pool snack bar where food is freshly made, burgers, hot dogs, chips, ham and cheese salad rolls etc, plus ice cream in the afternoons. A special mention to Hope and Sylvia at the pool bar who were absolutely lovely and kept us fed and watered all week! The evening meals don’t have hundreds of choices, but what they do serve is beautifully cooked and feels more like restaurant food than standard all inclusive buffet food. Some examples during our stay were spinach and feta pie, beef pie, beef stew and mash, spaghetti bolognese and pasta dishes, alongside the usual chips, nuggets and salads. There was also loads of beautiful fresh fruit every day. One of the best things about this hotel is the amount of space. Although the hotel grounds are large, there are only around 115 rooms, so it never feels crowded. There are no sunbed wars here at all, even when the hotel was full we could still get beds at lunchtime. Spirits and cocktails are only served after 4pm, whilst beer and wine are available earlier. Personally, I think this probably helps keep the atmosphere calm and family friendly around the pool during the day. There are also signs around the hotel asking guests to be respectful and quiet when returning to rooms, and management do seem quite strict about this. The overall vibe is very chilled. There’s quiet chart music around the pool during the day and evening entertainment is only on weekends, usually singers. If you want more nightlife or entertainment, the strip has things like bingo bars etc, although we didn’t personally do any of that. I’d recommend bringing playing cards or small games for relaxed evenings. The only thing I would say is that, as a 4 star hotel, I would have expected pool towels to be provided. Location wise it’s excellent, very close to the airport, around a 10 to 15 minute walk to the strip and beach, lots of nearby medical centres, around a 40 minute walk to Kalamaki or €10 taxi, and regular buses into Zante Town which is only about 10 minutes away. Overall we’ve had a fabulous, chilled out holiday. We usually like trying different places, but this is somewhere we would genuinely return to.
