Margarita

We stayed here for one week from 2/10/26 for one week. Check in was quick and easy and we were given all the information we needed for our stay at the hotel. As we arrived just before 9pm we were offered the chance to enjoy an evening meal in the restaurant but we decided to get to our room to unpack instead. We were given a room on the 2nd floor of the new block above the swim up rooms. We were impressed with our room, it had everything we needed, mini fridge, tv with USB port ( but no English channels) free safe, aircon and a nice bathroom. The only thing missing for us was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, but there was a machine available all day by the bar to get hot drinks. You can request a kettle if you want but we took our own as we like a drink 1st thing in the morning. There are 3 pools, one adult only, one for the superior room guests only and the main family pool. We chose to use the main pool but as the hotel was quiet there was never many children around and always plenty of room and sunbeds, so nice to have a hotel without the usual sunbed wars. There is a pool bar next to the family pool that serves drinks and snacks, the staff at the bar were always really helpful and friendly. We took our own larger plastic cups and they happily filles these with water rather than keep having to go up for the small cups. Before 4pm you can only have soft drinks or beer and wine. No other alcohol is available until after 4pm. This didn't bother us but it's always something to remember if you choose to visit here. There is a free to use pool table and a ping pong table and a payable massage tent all in this area. The food here is all excellent and homegrown and made from their own allotment, there was not too many choices available but what was there was beautifully cooked and preparred. As wew were there at the end of the season the entertainment and the evening bar were all inside as it was a little chilly outside. The lady at the bar was brilliant, very friendly and helpful with drink choices. The entertainment was typical hotel cheesey but it was easy listening and a bit of fun. We would definitely book here again if we wanted to visit Laganas again. All the staff make this place a little gem.

We stayed at the hotel 22.9.26 to 6.10.26 booked with Tui. We arrived late due to flight delay and our first impression of the hotel from being dropped off wasn’t entirely positive. However the room albeit a little basic was perfectly suitable and cleaned everyday. The facilities at the hotel were excellent 2 pools, snack bar onsite masseur, nightly entertainment and staff who were fantastic. The food at the hotel has been negatively reviewed by some previous guests. We holiday regularly on an all inclusive basis and I often struggle to eat/enjoy the provision. However on this occasion at Margarita Hotel the quality of the produce was the best we’ve ever received and the meals were delicious. All inclusive can be repetitive in a 14 day holiday. I honestly did not struggle to find an alternative if I chose to eat something different in week 2. So much so we chose not to eat out once during the duration of our holiday. We ate all our meals at the hotel - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Used the snack bar if we didn’t have lunch and again all orders were made fresh when the order was placed. I was somewhat apprehensive about the hotel location to the ‘Laganas strip’ this was unfounded as albeit the strip was within walking distance it did not negatively impact our enjoyment or peace at the hotel at all. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would like to return possibly next year. Special thanks to staff members Eleni, Hope, Savina and Nicholas your were very helpful and welcoming, Note to future travellers - you need to take pool towels, there are a lot of steps in the main building if you have limited mobility although there is a ramp available to the left of the main entrance at the side of the adults pool area. There is a small mini market open until 11pm at the front of the hotel should you arrive after the restaurant has closed and require bottled water/snacks.

My husband and I have just returned from this hotel. Our stay was from 2nd October- 9th October and we had a lovely relaxing holiday. The hotel is not far from the airport which is a plus and situated in a quiet area of Laganas. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely reception staff, who advised us that lunch was about to end but we could leave our suitcases at the front and get something to eat, which was very thoughtful. Our room was on the 2nd floor and it was very clean and had an authentic Greek style which we loved. The food was fantastic. There was plenty salads and something for all. Fresh produce is grown on the grounds and also served. The hotel owner was very ' hands on'. At dinner times he was always behind the buffet greeting and also carving the meat. The meats and fish is also wonderfully seasoned and cooked. The lamb and beef was so tender and tasty. The staff and the owner are lovely. So welcoming and genuine. The hotel also has chickens so it felt like a small part of authentic Greece. There was no entertainment staff and entertainment in the evening was limited but the ambience was lovely. This hotel is very peaceful. We left on the day the hotel closed for end of season so it was naturally quiet but I believe that is also the nature of the hotel which would draw us to return along with the other fantastic positives that I have mentioned. My husband and I have returned home fully relaxed which to us is one of the main reasons we go on holiday and is a testament to this wonderful establishment. My partner and I stayed here in September for 2 weeks and we really enjoyed it. We had a superior room which was lovely, comfortable and we loved the decor. I found the bed super comfortable and slept so well. Our room was very clean and housekeeping do an amazing job. With the superior room you get 2 pools that you can use which are not open to all guests or children. The pools were always warm,clean and relaxing. You could always get a sunbed no matter what time. The gentleman working in the pool bar during the day was friendly and welcoming. We liked that the pool bar food was cooked on demand and not left out. We felt the reception area could be nicer when you compare it to the superior block. We wasn’t keen on the inside bar- it looks a little like a tall reception desk and often only had 1 person serving which caused delays. We wouldn’t have stayed to relax in the hotel on evening due to this. But there is plenty to do nearby so this wasn’t a problem. We both enjoyed the food and the fact that the fruit and veg is grown themselves was impressive and it always tasted good- proper home cooked food. We both ate well! We would return and plan on returning in 2028 but we would only stay in the superior rooms.

hotel Margarita on Zakynthos we have just had a holiday with you from 23/9-30/9-26, it was a lovely stay and we had a lovely room with our own pool. The hotel has the best staff, always smiling and helpful. The owners of the hotel make you feel welcome from the moment you enter the hotel until you have to leave home again, it is so wonderful. The food at the hotel is fantastic, both breakfast, lunch and dinner, well prepared and beautiful to look at, there are many different dishes and lots of delicious salads, you will eat too much😊 there is also good entertainment at the hotel, something for every taste. can highly recommend this place. we will be back.
