TUI BLUE Caravel Resort & Spa

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for 7 nights which felt like a good amount of time, at the end of May. The hotel is beautiful, the pool beds are a nice touch and the beach is literally 30 seconds from the main pool. We stayed in room 117, which had a partial seaview, and was clean and well taken care of. The only issues was a broken flush which stayed flushing for a few minutes, however this was resolved promptly, and a slightly hard to shut bathroom door, but not a big issue. The food was overall good enough, the pool bar serves lunch which was our personal favourite, but dinner had enough options. The food was the only point of improvement as some days we felt the food could have been better, however this is quite subjective and did not take away from our overall experience. Lastly, I would like to note that the staff were absolutely amazing, extremely polite and helpful. The bar staff regularly will ask you if you want any drinks and bring them straight to where you are sitting around the pool, there is also a very good variety of cocktails. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future! Just a side note, whilst the hotel would be good for different groups, it is definitely focussed around couples and almost feels like a couples only hotel at times. Not a bad thing, but worth noting. Also, the Tui Blue Zante Maris is only 20 mins away and we were informed that you can use all the facilities of this hotel except the À la carte restaurant. We did visit this hotel, but definitely preferred the caravel.

Best spa experience I’ve had. Elana was great and explained all parts of the massage. Well looked after before and after the massage. Would highly recommend a visit to the SPA :-)

After a short 30 minutes tui coach transfer we arrived to a quick and easy check in. We were shown to our partial sea view room by a member of staff. Our room was very nice, clean, good wi if and air conditioning. There a kettle with supplies and we were able to get fresh milk from bar and kept in the little mini fridge which had soft drinks and water replenished when needed. Huge super comfy bed and nice balcony with padded cushioned chairs. The doors to the room are heavy I imagine fire doors and unfortunately when other guests left their room and let them slam behind them does create a very loud noise early morning and late at night. The food and drinks are very good and the snack bar especially had freshly cooked to order dishes which was really nice although service a bit hit and miss. The bar attached to the snack area becomes the small bookable restaurant at night which had nice food as well. The whole hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff really friendly and they work very hard. The location is good with a nice walk along the beach to the town where you can turn up into and walk back amongst the shops and bars. On the last day there are free shower rooms to book for a quick freshen up. For us the main thing that let the hotel down the week we there is the reservation of sun beds in the mornings. The hotel says it has a policy of no reservations and would remove unattended towels but didn’t enforce it so we struggled a few days to get beds. So that was disappointing.

Pool area was so relaxing, drinks were severed to us while we sunbathed. We had a Seaview room which was cleaned daily fresh towels and cold drinks refilled. Thankyou all

This was our 4th visit to this great hotel. We have always found the food to be very good, the staff to be extremely friendly, the rooms to be clean, and the entertainment and well being facilities to be of a high standard. Everything was still on point, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It’s a lovely place to go if you really want to chill out for a week or 2. In addition to this being a great hotel, my husband and I really love the location. You could say this is the main reason we keep returning to Tsivili. The hotel is situated in a beautiful bay, just away from the main beach. The highlight of our holiday is that we can be straight onto the beach within a few steps of the hotel and can sit within a few steps of the gentle sea which we both find really relaxing. The reason I have given the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 after this recent stay is that the sunbeds on the beach have changed. They used to be luxury sunbeds with cushions, but have been replaced with some hard cheaper sunbeds that aren’t comfy at all. A lot of people were complaining about it and some started taking cushions from the sunbeds on the grassy area of the hotel and putting them on their sun beds on the beach. As this is a 5 stars hotel, I think the hotel should provide cushions for all sun beds. Residents don’t want to be dragging cushions from sun beds on the grassy areas to make theirs on the beach more comfortable. On top of the physical act of having to carry/drag a sun bed cushion onto the beach, some residents I spoke to said it made them feel uncomfortable about doing this, like they were breaking the rules for wanting a cushioned sun bed on the beach. I spoke to the Tui rep about the issue and she kindly asked the hotel receptionist about it. The Tui rep was told that the new beds on the beach had built in support and didn’t need cushions. Personally, I find that hard to believe, and if so, why did the same sun-beds on the grassy area have cushions on? We would love to return to the hotel in the future but would need a guarantee that the sun beds on the beach will have improved/have cushions. After all, we all need a bit of comfort on our holidays!
