TUI BLUE Caravel Resort & Spa

Another fabulous relaxing holiday at the Caravel... Lovely to see so many of the staff again... You all know who I'm talking about lol.. Too many names to mention... This is our chillout place and we will be back next year.. Only one suggestion Georges Balaskas.. Please try get some new entertainment acts each week... Mix it up a bit... Other than that keep up the great work!!

A lovely stay at TUI Caravel for our first ever TUI holiday and 10 year wedding anniversary. We stayed in a swim up room which was lovely, well presented and spacious. It was a partial sea view and the water did not get much sun therefore the water was quite cold but once in it was fine also considering how hot it was - it was quite refreshing mid afternoon when the sun was at its hottest. The fridge was stocked with drinks and we were provided with a bottle of white wine and sparkling wine which was such a lovely touch. We had turn down service everyday with fresh towels which was lovely. The hotel itself and the facilities were amazing. Two large clean swimming pools, beach access, the main buffet/restaurant was one of the best we have ever been too - food was hot everyday, selection was varied and super tasty. If anything, following our 4 course meal at the other restaurant, we felt that even the buffet was better than that place. The location of the hotel was great, shop right outside and a mini strip of restaurants and bars was about 5 minutes walk. The staff and service levels at the hotel was perfect! Every member of staff had such a positive attitude with smiles everyday. Not one grumpy face and everyone super friendly with daily 'good mornings' and 'hellos'. We were made to feel VERY welcomed. My only bit of not so amazing feedback would be the evening entertainment could do with a bit of revamp. The daytime music/DJ were far better than any evening entertainer (apart from one evening where we had a DJ). We often found ourselves leaving the hotel each evening after food just to go and listen to some other, up-to-date, upbeat music. Also a lot of travelers are complaining about wasps which I get. There were A LOT don't get me wrong but looking on Google and Reddit following our trip, wasps are a bit of an issue across a few places in Greece particularly in August. So this isn't TUI Caravel's fault specifically. We had 4 days by the pool and didn't find they bothered us during the day but they were quite bad during dinner if you sat outside (we chose not too because of them). In the evening, once the sun started setting, they completely went away. I would personally recommend TUI Blue Caravel and look forward to returning for sure. It was lovely and they made our entire anniversary really special

We are on our final day at the Caravel and wanted to leave a review before we left. We booked a swim up sea view room and were lucky enough to be given room 803. It is an absolutely stunning room, very spacious and clean with gorgeous views of the sea. It is also worth noting that we didn’t request this room via the TUI Blue app which I understand guests can do in advance - we just fell very lucky with this. For reference, we had the sun on our terrace from the morning until around 2pm but the pool had sun all day if we wanted to still be in. It was quite nice to have a break from the sun after lunch anyway! On some occasions we did use the main pools after lunch and never once did we have a problem with getting a sunbed. I think there are lots of scaremongering on here about sunbeds and it’s simply not true. The day beds at the main pool were usually always taken but there have been a couple of days during the week where I have seen some available even at midday. Plenty of beds on the beach too. The highlight of this hotel really is the staff - they make this hotel special. They cannot do enough for you and are an absolute credit to the hotel. The bar staff at the pool during the day and on an evening and the restaurant staff were particularly fantastic. Cocktails and food are great here and plenty of choice. We ate at the snack bar every lunch time and that was usually our favourite meal of the day. There are some parts of the hotel which are slightly dated and unsightly which I do think knocks some of the “luxury” from this place. We have had an ant problem in our room/on our terrace during our stay. I have reported this to reception but I’m not sure if anything has been done. Either way, it hasn’t really affected our stay and we’ve still really enjoyed our room. We did try the gym a couple of times and it’s not great - very small and limited equipment. The evening entertainment is very chilled and, for us, not very exciting. We did find that we ventured out most evenings for something slightly more lively but we are a couple in our twenties so that is probably why. Overall, we have really enjoyed our holiday here. I wouldn’t return only because we like to try new places but I would reccomend the Caravel if you are looking for a chilled out holiday in the sun with great food, cocktails and staff.

I went to the spa for a scrub and deep tissue massage. The lady named marina was lovely and couldn't do more if she tried. She made my time at the spa more relaxing.

We had a lovely couples massage with Nora and Dimitra , was very relaxing and would highly recommend
