TUI BLUE Caravel Resort & Spa

Lovely hotel food drinks and staff all great not 5 star accommodation as stated in previous reviews all the rooms are dated and 3 star at best small bath towels and no hand wash or toiletries unless you request them ,door handles wardrobe doors Loose decking around pools and sunbeds all need updating nails silticking out in places .But very clean and all the positive things did outweigh the negative lovey area to say if you want a few bars and restaurants most people did go out to sample as the entertainment stopped between 10.30 and 11pm all in all we had a great time would I go back ? No not for the price in my book you pay 5 star you should get it .

Lovely hotel we booked a swim.up room as it was our 25th wedding anniversary whilst there. Room 311 perfect location for everything. Pool was cool but very refreshing after a day out. No fighting for sunbeds and sun till around 3pm... the Room was nice the bed was huge we didn't have to touch each other lol. Only negative the rooms could do with more drawer space. Not much room to store clothes especially for 2 week's. The hotel itself is stunning the staff make this hotel & work tirelessly every day they are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious although on a couple of occasions my husband had soup and it was only luke warm. The umbrellas around the pools on the grass area could do with replacing and some of the sunbeds are very low. Not ideal for older people. The beach is small but the sea is crystal clear & you can walk a long way out. We ate in the culinary restaurant on our wedding anniversary the food was nice but not particularly filling. The steak came with asparagus and sweet potato puree? One thing I don't understand with this hotel is no wrist bands? For All Inc How do they know whos staying there. In my opinion anyone off the beach or the street can walk in & get free drink and food. Our friends visited the sister hotel Zante Maris and didn't have to prove they were staying at the Caravel. Just went to the bar & got 2 pina colados. This hotel isn't cheap and its weird that no one keeps any record of whos staying. In saying that we had a wonderful time. And maybe would return in the future. Although id like to try another Tui blue hotel on another Island. The entertainment is hit and miss I guess like any abroad. All in all a fabulous 2 weeks. Thanks to the staff including the cleaners for making our holiday special.

Couldn’t recommend Joanna at the spa more, had the most wonderful massage and facial and left feeling so relaxed, 10/10

On arrival forms to fill in as expected No welcome drink Porter takes our bags and shows us to our room number 832 and just leaves no explanation or how items in the room work Our room had its own pool so I would have expected extra towels no such luck and instead of sun loungers there was a mattress on the floor ( this might be ok for youngsters but as you get a little bit older it’s bad enough getting down and then you have got to plan getting up) No information on how to work the safe so we had to ring reception and get somebody to come and sort the safe out He following morning I phoned reception and asked for two sun loungers which I was told they would have to look into at 4.00 still nothing so I phoned reception and asked to speak to a manager but no he won’t be there until later so eventually come 5.00 we got it sorted My wife decided to wash her hair and afterwards she used the hair dryer that is provided on going to unplug the hair dryer the whole socket left the wall with the hair dryer plug so once again phone reception only to be told that’s ok just unplug it it will be fine after a bit of persuasion I did manage to get a person come and fix it he did tell me that he wasn’t an electrician and shouldn’t really be doing this In the restaurant that night I managed to have a chat with the hotel manager who just wanted to laugh it all of and tell me how good he was and that the people who where singing he had got them from Africa really As you walked round the complex you could see how tired it was the pool umbrellas look like they have been there since they opened as with the decking leading down to the culinarium and pool area it was coming up bits sticking up very dangerous ( I noticed another guest talking to the manager about this but it looked like it fell on deaf ears) All of the pools just had bare concrete no tiles just bare concrete I have never seen a pool not tiled In our room the ceiling was a lovely wood finish but the floor a cold bare concrete floor that was just painted once again no tiles Leading into our complex there was some dirty water thing that’s all I can call it as it was just dirty cloudy water why The saving grace for our stay was that the majority of the food was very good although at times it could be greasy and heavily seasoned and also the majority of the staff where very very good until you had a problem and then the said sorry don’t speak English lol In general I would have given it 3 stars but because it the majority of the time the food and staff where very good I would just give it 4 stars but only just It had a long way to go believe you and me before I can see it really being 5 stars I look forward to feedback but I would be very surprised if I get any
