Upon arrival, we were informed that we could check in early and already make use of the all-inclusive facilities, which initially seemed like a positive start. However, we were then told to leave our suitcases outside in front of the hotel, where several other bags were already lined up unattended. This did not feel safe at all. Only after insisting did it turn out that there was in fact a lockable luggage room available. An unnecessary and disorganised start to our stay. The room was a major disappointment. Hygiene was well below standard: a dirty mirror upon arrival, dust and dirt on the tap, a filthy shower door handle, a bathroom door that could not be locked, hair that didn’t belong to us, and a bed with visible stains. This is unacceptable for a hotel at this price level. Service was also very poor. At the pool, a spa employee was extremely pushy, sat with us for long periods of time and interfered excessively in our private life. In addition, unopened bowls we had brought to feed stray cats were thrown away by housekeeping without permission, while the room itself was not cleaned at all: dirt was still there and trash bins were not emptied. The only response from reception was that it would be “passed on to housekeeping management.” A particularly painful incident involved the loss of personal belongings. After a marriage proposal at Myzithres Beach, I had brought back a large bag of the unique sand as a meaningful keepsake. The bag was neatly placed on the balcony to dry. When we returned later that day, the entire bag had been thrown away without our consent. When we complained to the manager, his response was: “It’s just material, it doesn’t really matter. The memories are in your head.” This dismissive and insensitive reaction was extremely inappropriate, especially considering the emotional value of personal belongings. No proper apology was ever offered. The promised “replacement sand” later turned out to be stones. We were also misled regarding extra services. During a photo session, we were told that the photos could be picked up for free the next day. The following day, we were suddenly told they cost 30 euros. Receiving the photos digitally by email still required a payment of 15 euros. The food was repetitive and of mediocre quality. Almost every evening offered the same dishes. Although live cooking was advertised, this was not what you would expect: the food was prepared in advance, and only when a tray ran empty did the chef refill it on the spot — which was then labelled as “live cooking.” The only dish actually prepared fresh was pasta. Most meat and fish dishes were pre-cooked, with a heavy focus on pork. One of us even became ill for an entire day. Breakfast was chaotic. You first had to sit down and order drinks before being allowed to get food. Often, the drinks arrived when breakfast was already finished — if they arrived at all. Several times, we did not receive any drinks whatsoever. Lunch at the pool restaurant was officially available until 5:00 PM, but if you arrived around 4:00 PM, you could usually only order salad. The alcoholic drinks were of very poor quality: either extremely strong or almost tasteless. Several drinks made us feel nauseous, without any enjoyable effect. The pool area did not receive sun throughout the day, and sunbeds were already reserved with towels before 7:00 AM. After repeated complaints, we were given a swim-up room for the final hours of our stay. Even there, the pool water appeared dirty and the area was completely shaded. Early check-out was discussed on the first day, but one day before departure we received a note stating it was not possible. Only after continued complaints were we offered a minimal compensation. The location of the hotel is excellent, but this is the only real positive aspect. Overall, this is a poor hotel for the high price you pay.

Was very disappointed with our holiday definitely not 5 Star wasps everywhere which maybe couldn't be helped staff at beach bar extremely rude maybe some training in customer service would be helpful certainly would not return to this hotel!!!!

Classed as a 5* but 3* the most. Positives Location, staff, food Negatives Pool area no shade not enough sun beds Pool looks uninviting the colour Beach dirty & infested with ants never saw it being cleaned. Non guests using sun beds and making use of the drinks Not clear to non guests about using beach sun beds became really irritating Non guests using the hotel as a walk through to other parts of the beach. If these negatives can be addressed this hotel would be Amazing. Stayed High season the busiest 2 weeks for the hotel.
