Grand Mirage Resort Thalasso

Resort is beautiful and in a great location. We arrived first week of the school holidays so understably it was busy but fine for my children. Lots to do if you are interested in getting out and about. Food is great and rooms are spotless. Sadly a lot of other holiday goers are very inconsiderate, leaving mess everywhere, abandoning sunbeds for hours every day. The sign says you can't reserve sunbeds and one morning this was enforced but ignored for the rest of the day. It would be ok if there were plenty available but they are at a premium at the main pool. Please enforce this so that people who want to sit around the pool actually can!

Second time to the Grand Mirage and it is fantastic. Already planning on coming back next year. The stand out for us was the service we got in all of the resturants and a special mention goes to Dewa in the Grand Cafe. He went out of his way to make our stay an enjoyable one.

Just got home after a lovely 10night stay here....firstly the welcome for us after a long 17 hours of flying from the UK was spot on...easy check in and the rooms were spacious and clean and well maintained...the staff are amazing and cant do enough for you...would be harsh to name certain names because they all work extremely hard to make your stay as relaxed as possible...the food was acceptable although not perfect...the jukung grill and the Indian restaurant were the highlights for us...pools were lovely and the watersports on the private beach were a nice touch...the lazy river is perfect for cooling off...if your thinking of snorkeling in the sea at the hotel beach then dont bother ...literally nothing to see...the main thing that let this hotel down was the evenings...the entertainment was poor and was literally finished by 9/9.30pm...i mean im getting older but i still like a bit of atmosphere and a party/disco vibe but by 9.30 everything is done.. Overall a beautiful place and me..my wife and our kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the early nights

Wow what a massage. A beautiful spa with lovely staff and a fantastic service provided by Seni. Don’t miss it if you’re staying at the hotel.

Pros: The facilities are good for kids, breakfasts were good, however the layout is very spread out which made it hard with little kids. Kids club activities were diverse and good for a range of ages - we particularly enjoyed the reptile show. Cons: terrible communication in English. We had to change rooms part way through our stay and after multiple emails and verbal confirmation on arrival of the double queen suite, they said there wasnt any available when we had to move 2 days later. The room difference is significant for a family, so they should allow to book with certainty, especially if the queen suites cannot be reliably allocated. They did give 4 vouchers for the banana boat for the inconvience, after i asked if we got that (apparently 5 nights on all inclusive includes it). I also tried to book the return shuttle/car for the airport (that was included in our all inclusive package) three times and the staff didnt have the correct time recorded for it come check out. My daughter also got food poisoning on the second to last day, on the all inclusive package (we didnt leave the hotel) - another 5 in our group also got food poisoning. We had been very careful with food hygiene throughout the trip, so this was frustrating.
