The Anvaya Beach Resorts Bali

Was an amazing resort but be warned that your experience will depend on your room type. Our room was Deluxe which meant that we were far away from the main pool, beach and Sands restaurant. Our room was in the block by the Main Street. We were only allowed to eat breakfast in the front street side restaurant Kunyit, which although pleasant was not the beachside experience I had hoped for when booking. Also our block had a small shaded pool, but to use the beautiful main swimming area you had to walk quite a distance through the lobby and gardens to reach it. I don’t plan to stay again but if I did I would book a premium room so you get nice and close to the beautiful areas of the resort.

Bayu taught us to make a traditional tipat out of palm leaf!!!! So fun!!! Bayu is awesome and we are looking forward to another class. This time, a hat or bag! Thanks, Bayu!!!

Bayou was so kind and friendly and we had fun making a tipat out of coconut palm leaf for steaming rice cakes. We recommend taking all his classes everyday!

We had a Premiere Lagoon Access room, which I highly recommend. No mosquitoes or bugs, and the water in the lagoon was a lovely temperature. Staff at the hotel are lovely and friendly. Everywhere looked clean and well maintained, and breakfast in the Sands restaurant was delicious with a huge variety of options (the dosa station was my favorite - I miss having someone make me fresh dosa for breakfast now that I'm home!) . There's even a good selection of options available for the prepacked to-go breakfast, which can be organised through the front desk the night before if you have an early start. Traffic outside the hotel is busy - take care when crossing the road! Once you're inside, the environment is peaceful and the traffic outside can't be heard. Waterbom and Discovery Mall are a short (less than 10 minutes) walk away. The beachfront is currently undergoing conservation work and is fenced off. But the sunsets are still beautiful and the pool has lots of nice shady spots to relax in.
