Riu Oliva Beach Resort

3rd visit to this hotel and did not disappoint. We were in the main hotel and had a fab view overlooking the pool and sea from the 4th floor. The hotel is dated but it's clean. This hotel is set on the most amazing beach. Pure white sand and amazing blue sea. Took a taxi into Corralejo cost was about 8 euros each way but slightly more after a certain time. Staff are brilliant at this hotel. Activities through the day. This hotel is great value for money and I will visit again but not sure when.

What a wonderful experience, the pool, the location, the beach, the food all fantastic. The rooms are a bit dated but clean.

Absolutely love this place , the staff are 2nd to none , place is spotless , reception are always helpful , from the cleaner’s to the bar and restaurant staff they are so welcoming and polite and the location is perfect for me right on the beach , Yes people complain that it needs a make over and an update ( can’t argue ) but this has been my home from home for many years I’ve been here at least 10 times and I love it, so I’m already looking forward to my next visit

As expected from Riu, everything was as it should be. The hotel is a little tired but as the Spanish government are being awkward, it won’t happen anytime soon. Staff are a credit to Riu Oliva and the whole complex, including rooms are kept extremely clean. Lovely location for a relaxing break.

This place is a total dump. The stench of raw sewage meets you in the tiny car park. NO WIFI IN BEDROOMS. NO AIRCON IN BEDROOMS. SILVERFISH IN BATHROOMS. SEWAGE ISSUES IN BATHROOMS. Broken tiles on floors and walls. Leaking air conditioning units in common areas Black mold in the bathrooms. Leaking fridge. Threadbare towels. Plaster falling off walls. Buildings and furnishings are about 50 to 60 years old. The food is horrendous.... dried up veal burgers at lunch, cold hot dogs, stale sandwiches with insects landing on them. Staff began removing food an hour before breakfast/ dinner buffet was scheduled to end. Poor quality wine. Cheap imitation spirits. On checkout our wrist bands were immediately cut off and we were informed we would have to pay for further food and drink.... even though we hadn't checked in until late at night on our first night.... the meaness was astounding. Would I stay here again??? NEVER. NOT EVEN IF THEY PAID ME.
