Riu Oliva Beach Resort

Very crowded. Pool loungers are reserved early in the morning. La Oliva buffet has a larger selection of food. I understand that the hotel cannot be renovated, but the bed mattresses need to be replaced. Beach loungers are cheaper than in Jandia.

Hotel is situated in the middle of dunes, which makes fantastic feeling. The views are spectacular, you step out of the hotel straight on to the beach or to dunes for really nice walk. The rooms are outdated but comfortable and clean. The family room we stayed in was spacious and had access to a large, well-kept garden. Unfortunately the walls are really thin and you can hear your neighbors. Hotel has two pools: one very close to the beach with animations and the second one much calmer. Very nice and helpful staff.

Reading previous reviews I wasn't expecting anything good but it turned out to be an exceptional success. The location is right on the beach and among the dunes. The building is indeed not the first youth but it is designed and built according to old standards with lots of space and amenities. In the main building every room has a view of the sea and the balconies are very large. The rooms have lots of storages and a large wardrobe. Large bathroom with bathtub and shower. Extremely clean. The sheets were changed every second day. Everything shone with cleanliness. Decent animation tailored to all ages. And most of all the food for which I express admiration to the chefs. Such a rich menu, I couldn't try everything in ten days.

Bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Choice of restaurants, food a bit samey but something delicious for all tastes. Choice of communal entertainment areas and a great Card Room with table drinks service from adjacent terrace bar, in which twice weekly great musical acts (Monday & Thursday ), Pools, poolside bars and activities like Water Aerobics which staff encourage holiday makers to participate in. We’re back in September as we had such a good time, and booking again for next year. Our thanks to all the wonderful staff who made sure we did enjoy making the most of our holiday.
