Apartamentos LIVVO Tarahal

Booked for this hotel as a last-minute mini-moon and are really pleased we did. Hotel is in an excellent location 2 min walk from the beach in a peaceful area. There are shops, bars, restaurants, etc., just 5 mins walk away, and if you want to get to more lively areas it's a quick and cheap taxi from the nearby taxi rank. Some people may struggle a little with the numbers of stairs on the property, but if you don't have mobility issues it is fine. The room is basic but very clean, comfortable, and functional with everything you need, including a well-stocked kitchen, very good aircon, and sun loungers on our terrace (if you want the sun loungers book the terrace rooms on the ground floor, if you want a sea view you'll want a balcony room higher up). The wi-fi could be a little iffy in the bedrooms, but it was usually fine. The pool is nice and generally very quiet - we usually had it to ourselves. In July it got sun until about 5:30-6pm. There is also a rooftop sun terrace that gets sun all day. There are washing and drying machines that can be used 10am-2pm every day and water/wine can be purchased from reception while they're open, which is better than having to carry it from the shop! Staff are very friendly and helpful, and check-in is easy even if you arrive at late hours. Cleaning is every other day but you can ask just to have your towels changed if you prefer to sleep in! We were really happy with our stay and would happily stay again - for the price it was really perfect!

This hotel was recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful and cleaning staff were also lovely. We arrived late at night and key was in the key safe with a message telling us the code. Really simple. The pool was not always in the shade as I read on an earlier review. It was in full sunshine from about 10:30am until 5:30 pm. It was small but never busy. The towel and bed changes for the room were regular. The view from the 4th balcony was beautiful. The WiFi was good on the balcony, which wasn’t the worst place to use it. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes from the shopping centre. The small kitchen was perfectly functional and the sofa was very comfortable. I also read in another review that the hot water runs out in the shower. I’ve no idea how that would have happened. It certainly didn’t for us. We loved this hotel and will be booking it again next year without hesitation.

We had booked other accommodation but decided it wasn’t for us so discovered Tarahal and what a find! From check in to check out everything was perfect! The apartments are spacious, modern, clean, well equipped, including a welcome bottle of wine and water, nice balcony and comfortable beds, we both slept well. The rooftop sun terrace is where we spent most of our time, plenty of sun beds, a seated area with a bit of shade, quiet and a nice view of the sea. There’s a pool we didn’t use but it looked nice with sun beds and parasols, there’s also a laundry room that’s available to guest next time we’ll bring less luggage and use it! The staff are amazing! Victor and David are the receptionists, Victor was on duty most of our stay, he checked us in and out hassle free, nothing was to much trouble always helpful, always available during reception hours(10am to 8pm) and always had a welcome and a chat with a smile. David because of how duties are worked out we only had for a couple of days again we felt welcome always available during reception hours, helpful and answered any questions we had. The cleaning staff kept the whole complex spotless, worked hard and were always pleasant with a smile! Checkin is available until 8pm but they will arrange a later checkin time if needed subject to availability we may have needed this but everything went on time for us so arrived before reception closed! They communicate really well with instructions by phone, watts app or email. San Augustin is a beautiful quiet resort just right for rest, nice restaurants and bars take a walk around either direction and you’ll find them! The shopping centre is to the left bars and restaurants available there, a Spar supermarket which is what we used mostly for our supplies and is reasonably priced! To the right beside the hospital there’s a Dino express and also a small international supermarket. Maspalomos /playa de Ingles are near by, you can walk along the beautiful beach promenade to them both or you can take the bus €1:40 per person and there’s plenty of buses available, bus stops are at the hospital or the shopping centre! Lovely appartments. Staff very helpful. Situated on a very good bus route. Eateries 5 mins walk away. The only draw back is that the beach is not very nice but we're able to travel very cheaply o the bus to other nice beaches. Will definitely be booking again.

An angry male receptionist sabotaged my attempt to return to Taraha. I stayed for 2 weeks in 2023. I loved the apartment, the sunny balcony and the friendly cleaning staff. When I checked, I was verbally attacked by the male receptionist for checking out one hour late. He was particularly angry at me for ignoring the German language brochures and notes slipped under my door informing of the the check out time. I told him that he had used my Norwegian passport when he checked me in so my delayed was due to his assumption that I knew German. That only fueled his anger. Six months later I booked 2 weeks at Tarahal with a Norwegian travel company but weeks later after the booking, someone at Tarahal cancelled my reservation and the travel company had to work overtime to find me another place in San Augustin. It was of a much lower standard than Tarahal - noisier, dirtier and worn down but I had to still had to pay the same price. The travel company found it impossible to discover why my reservation had been unexpectedly cancelled after so many weeks, but I have a good idea of who sabotaged my return to Tarahal. So sad that such a petty minded and vindictive person has a position of power at what is otherwise a great place to have a vacation.
