I’m sorry to say I’ve stayed at this hotel over 20 times in years gone past but it’s nowhere near what it used to be. Every morning the beds by the pool have people there from 6am trying to hold beds. That was never a thing of the past. I’ve just phoned reception for an iron only to be told they have none. They can hopefully get me one for tomorrow. We are going out tonight. It’s such a shame as I have so many amazing memories from here but it’s just not the same. I wouldn’t rush in tbh especially for the money.

Was very much looking forward to our all inclusive 5 star holiday however this hotel has sadly disappointed us. 5 star building yes, service pretty decent, food very very much a let down especially if you are on All Inclusive, as others have mentioned. All inclusive - where you pay thousands in August for convenience, to me, doesn’t mean having no choice at the pool bar; being limited to a small dish of unflavoured crisps, a small cheese and ham, white bread sandwich, or other carbohydrate heavy food. Not even a salad is on the all inclusive pool menu - you have to pay extra. Margarita pizza yes, pepperoni no, tomatoes and pickles yes, salad no. I even asked for a toasted sandwich one day to be told no I had to have a cold one from circular refridgerates section. Ice creams at pool bar: you cannot help yourself to scoops, no you get a small child’s size tub, again we paid absolutely thousands for this holiday and I feel like crying to be honest. The dining room lacks atmosphere and is not 5 star at all, like another guest said the quality of meat is very very lacking, with pork appearing multiple times a week. I ma so surprised that all Inclusive self serve drink area isn’t available and am shocked that you cannot fill your water bottle up anywhere in the hotel. Room; modern and spacious however if you want more tea coffee or water you have to request it daily from Housekeeping. I have never known anywhere who doesn’t automatically give water as a basic. I never saw any recycling areas around the hotel either. So far I just keep being disappointed by this hotel. Sunbeds; yes where you go you will battle to get a bed, so be honest so far we didn’t think it was so bad. At other places we have had to get up at the crack of dawn so 9:45 is by no means a drama. Evening bar; evening bar area is pleasant and we enjoyed the music each night. Again drinks for AI petty; can have a Daquiri but not a strawberry daquiri (the difference is just strawberry sugar syrup!!! My son is a barman) it’s just really spoilt - about 60% are not included in AI. Yes you can get a discount but once again, we have paid THOUSANDS to come here and the AI rules really make you feel like the poor family. So disappointed. Sadly I can’t see this changing and won’t come again nor recommend AI here at all, it’s very poor

We had an 11 night stay, 2 adults, and two teens aged 14 and 12, on half board basis staying in two standard double rooms. Firstly, the rooms are great. They are spacious with a good sized bathroom with shampoo etc provided. The beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. The pool area is one of the best we have had. Comfortable loungers. We were able to get loungers after breakfast (at about 9.30) but have to sit with them until 10 which don’t mind doing. If you are wanting specific loungers at pool side, you will need to secure them earlier. If anything, there is more difficulty getting a brolley! Some people take more than fair share. If you have small children, there were always loungers in the separate children slide area. Likewise, there is a brilliant adults only pool and loungers. As regards food, you will find something you like. What lets it down for me is not having a separate gluten free area where I could get gluten pastries, bread, pasta, pizza etc. I had to ask for gluten free toast every morning which was fine but a nuisance . I’ve been to other hotels where there is a self service and dedicated toaster to prevent cross contamination and more gluten free choice. It also unfortunately has a very canteen feel. Glad we were not all inclusive. I found most of the staff to be friendly and helpful except for one lady at the pool bar. Long queues here and sign posted system not operational! The location is great, best of fanabe and playa del duque. La Caleta was also a nearby lovely find. There is an uphill walk back to hotel from the beaches which can be tough in the heat. All in all, this is a super hotel and we would consider returning.

Nice enough hotel and had a decent holiday here. Friendly staff and a good selection of drinks available on the all inclusive. Felt a bit butlins like. I’d say it was 85% British guests so you could chat with anyone at anytime, in fact Tenerife as a whole seemed very British! I wouldn’t say it was a 5* hotel though more like a 4*. We’ve done 5* the last 4 years and this was not up to the level. Little things like no welcome drink, the product bottles in the shower were empty, having to carry a paper card for breakfast, lunch and dinner so they can cross off the meals you have. Surely it could be done electronically. Having someone take you to a table would be better also, sometimes you got taken, other times everyone wanders around looking for a table and having to ask staff for it to be cleared and made up. Our room keys stopped working 3 times which was annoying. The food was ok, not the best selection. We only had lunch once but that was actually a nicer spread than any of the dinners. If I booked a 4 star hotel I would have got everything I expected. Actually one thing the was quite bad is the ventilation in the bathroom, there seemed to be none! so the bedroom had the sort of damp vibe you get waking up in a tent. The wardrobe was on the same wall and some of the clothes felt damp by the end of the week.

Overall, this is a 3-star establishment. The building may be 5-star, but it was all fur coat. The main reason for this was that the food in the one and only restaurant was awful. We ate there a couple of times but chose to go into town on other occasions. Sunbeds are another issue unless you want to get up at 6 a.m. every morning. They say you can’t reserve sunbeds, but everyone does. The sunbeds are crammed around the pool like sardines. You could literally read the person next to you iPhone messages. The drinks tasted watered down to me, and I heard a lot of guests complaining about the limited selection available on the all-inclusive package. There was no proper evening entertainment area. It was simply a collection of chairs in front of the bar. Walking down to the beachfront/harbour takes around 20–25 minutes, although taxis are available. Alessandra, the Guest Services Manager, was excellent and very quick to help with any issues. It’s a lovely hotel, but it needs better food, drinks, and entertainment. I could really see where they had tried to cut costs, and unfortunately, it showed.
