Hotel was perfect 1 bed apartment spotless

Decent Family Hotel with Room for Improvement We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant enough holiday. It's not a luxury hotel and doesn't do anything particularly outstanding, but it provides a decent base if you're looking for somewhere clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and always willing to assist when needed. The pool area was generally very good. It was kept clean, the sun loungers were some of the most comfortable we've used on holiday, and there was always a relaxed atmosphere. However, one thing that was frustrating was that the pool and sunbed area didn't open until 10am. For families with young children who are up early and eager to get in the water, this felt far too late. Opening at around 8.30am would make a big difference and allow guests to make better use of the facilities. The all-inclusive package was a little disappointing. The selection of food was average rather than exceptional, and while there was always something to eat, the variety could be better. The cocktail choice included in the package was quite limited, with many of the better options only available at an extra cost. The rooms are dated and could benefit from some refurbishment, but they were clean and serviced regularly. Unfortunately, we did encounter a few cockroaches during our stay, which wasn't ideal. One issue worth mentioning is that pigeons were frequently seen inside some of the public areas. While this may not bother everyone, it could be uncomfortable for guests who are nervous around birds. There are also a few areas around the pool where raised block paving creates a potential trip hazard, something the hotel may want to address for safety reasons. Overall, we had a good holiday. The hotel has its shortcomings, but the friendly staff, clean pool area and comfortable sun loungers helped make up for some of the negatives. With a few improvements, particularly to the all-inclusive offering, room updates and earlier pool opening times, it could be a much better experience.

Last time we were here was 2016 with the kids but just two of us this time. Emailed them prior to our visit asking for a bungalow with a private terrace as it was our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Great bungalow with private terrace and nice bottle of cava with card and chocolates.Breakfast was fairly ok but ate out for lunch and dinner.pool at bottom is great as main pool is always busy. Will definitely not leave our next visit for 10 years.

We definitely wouldn’t call this hotel a 4 star when compared to other places we’ve stayed. We travelled as a family with 3 children and were split into 2 bungalows. We requested adjoining rooms and the hotel did give us these. Unfortunately the condition of the rooms left a lot to be desired. I don’t think the floors were properly mopped the entire week we were there, towels were taken and not replaced and the bungalows were so dark (no ceiling lights, the only way to get some proper light in the room was to leave the curtains wide open). The main pool was good, the kids loved it and there were no issues getting a sunbed. However, we found the atmosphere and activities at the pool to be boring with very little happening. The evening entertainment also wasn’t great - our youngest loved the mini disco though. The food was terrible. We stayed all inclusive and the best meal of the day was breakfast. We found the selection at lunch and dinner not great and the vast majority of it was cold. We ended up eating out 3 of the 7 nights as a result of this. The hotel is in a great location, close to shops and the market, but it is located on a steep hill that some people might struggle with. And the reception staff called us a taxi if we were venturing further which arrived within minutes. We absolutely loved Costa adeje, but we wouldn’t return to the GF Isabel.

The hotel is in a good location and is kept very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are very dated and not very well maintained. We were bed & breakfast and although there was plenty of choice the quality was very poor. Sound proofing in the rooms was awful especially when you had inconsiderate neighbours playing music on the balcony late at night and very noisy early in the morning. I also didn’t appreciate the amplified music every night until 11pm. The pool area is far too crowded and noisy, not my thing. I have stayed in a lot nicer 3 star hotels. I would not return to this one.
