A good base to explore Venice. Reasonably sized comfortable room. Good, slightly dated bathroom, but powerful shower. Very clean. Continental breakfast was ok. All staff were very pleasant.

The hotel is in a quiet location tucked away near a theatre and only approximately 6 to 8 minutes walk from San Marco square. Some lovely restaurants locally to the hotel. The hotel itself is small, very Venice and elaborate decor which is the norm. The decor does look a little tired, however, it more than makes up for that by the friendliness of the staff. They are all very helpful. I unfortunately had a bad back whilst I was there and every time I returned to hotel from being out, they had ice packs ready for me. The staff were kind and thoughtful. I travelled with a friend so we had a twin room but not much space between them. The room was clean with tea coffee facilities, fridge, safe. The bathroom is small with a lovely shower not quite a power shower but it was good pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is continental but a nice range of cake, croissants, biscuits, yoghurt, cereal and some fruit with ham, cheese. Coffee machines. I had a very early departure and they didn’t offer a breakfast before 7.30am so bear that in mind. Overall the question is would I stay again - yes I would definitely.

The hotel was absolutely perfect with St Mark’s square a short walk away. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The beds were firm which we preferred. The breakfast room Tables were setup for breakfast with linen tablecloths. The buffet was delicious with croissants, meat & cheeses, eggs, fruit, Juices & cakes. It was so convenient not to have to find a place for breakfast. The owners, Angela & Matteo, were incredibly friendly & helpful suggesting restaurants, directions & made a reservation for a water taxi to meet us at the hotel’s Dock. Unfortunately, the tide was too high for their dock so Matteo took our suitcases & walked to another dock which was quite a hike. He never left us and waited until the taxi arrived. He went above & beyond to make sure we didn’t miss our coach for our cruise. This hotel is a gem & we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends & family.

We wanted somewhere near the theatre La Fenice, other than the foyer of the theatre we could not have been closer,no more than 100m. The staff were professional, welcoming and very helpful. The quaint nature of the hotel certainly appealed to my wife and I. You can arrange a water taxi direct from the airport to the hotels water door. 30-40 min. Much easier than wrestling through narrow streets with luggage, and on and off the Vaparetto. All in all a truly wonderful stay.

Hotel facilities and room need updating. Due to the age of the hotel it seems that the room is not that clean and feels like it’s dusty although I see hotel staff cleaning and sanitising the rooms. Receptionist and hotel staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfast is good and has a nice variety to pick from. Location of hotel is superb as it’s just 5 minutes and 8 minutes walk from San Marco and Rialto bridge respectively. The hotel is easy to locate.
