Excellent in every possible way. A quaint boutique hotel which offered the perfect location among the beautiful canals. 8 minute walk to San Marco meant that you had the opportunity to take in the multitude of cafe’s and little shops along the route and also far enough away from the busy bars to have a restful night’s sleep. Our welcome and continued generosity from host Stefano was warm and gracious throughout and he provided all the information we needed for our stay - including directions and a suggestion to try the carnival-time sweet treat fritelli which entirely lived up to the hype. Our standard room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a fridge, espresso machine (capsules) and kettle. The bathroom was modern and the shower water very hot. I have absolutely loved Venice and if I was to return I would book the Locanda again. Thank you Stefano and thank you Venice.

Just stayed at this little hotel for 4 nights and have to say its just lovely! We had a huge room decorated in Venetian style on the 1st floor. It was clean and had a little bathroom, storage space, fridge, a coffee machine and a free safe and was cleaned every day. It's in a great location, less than 10 mins from St Marks Square, has a few local restaurants/cafes/bars within 2 mins walk. It is very quiet at night so had great sleep. Booked through Easyjet room only but the manager is so obliging he offers everyone staying a free continental breakfast. You are given keys and an access code for the doors so you can come and go as you please. On our last day we were able to leave our luggage without a charge and he let us sit in the breakfast room to cool off, let us use the WC and even offered us a free coffee...what more could you ask? Brilliant service...thank you. If we ever come to Venice again we would definitely stay here again.

A lovely hotel in a quiet area, yet only a few minutes walk to all the sights. I had a few queries before visiting which were answered very quickly via email. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The man on the reception desk had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Venice and all her sights and places to eat. He was also very interested in our experiences of his recommendations on our return. The room was clean and comfortable. A small fridge was provided as well as a bottle of water. Top tip: keep the bottle and refill from the water fountain around the corner. The location is excellent. It is wonderful sitting having breakfast in a café nearby, listening to the swifts calling overhead in the cool morning air. Breakfast was provided but we declined as we wanted to be up and out early. You need to provide payment card details so any damage can be paid for but this is fairly standard. It is communicated on the website. Also a city tax is payable but this is very small in comparison to city taxes elsewhere in the world. I don’t know why people are still surprised by these things. I can only think that they don’t research. To the staff: Thank you for making my daughter and I feel so welcome and making our room up to our needs. We really enjoyed our time in Venice and when I return with the rest of the family in the future your hotel will be our first choice.

Stayed here for 2 nights and couldn’t fault it. The receptionist was very helpful providing an extra pillow and recommending places to eat! One of those places were next door Osteria Alla Staffa (must try). The bed was comfy with memory foam mattress and very clean. Not sure about the negative reviews on here as couldn’t fault this hotel for the price compared to others in Venice! Location is also very central and everything is within walking distance!

I don't know why the toilet room has a sink problem like an easy overflow leading to the down-floor room leakage water. They did not tell or warn us. When we clean the shoe footprints the problem was happening. After that, the next day morning, the owner and his staff need to check our room seriously and annoy us about how much water was put in the sink pipe. How stupid owner be? 1. Why this is our problem? 2. Why toilet room sink pipe was not for drainage water? This totally block our trip and we were very upset that Venice has this service hotel.
