I stayed at Neptune Village Beach Resort beginning May 15, 2026. My experience ultimately left me disappointed due to several serious concerns. Unfortunately, several aspects of my stay fell well below expectations. The buffet food selection was extremely limited for my preferences, and I often struggled to find meals I enjoyed. The snack bar also had very few options available. While other guests may feel differently, the Indian restaurant was the only dining venue I consistently enjoyed. My biggest concern was the lack of guest privacy and professional boundaries. During my stay, multiple employees asked for my personal phone number. After sharing my contact information with a few individuals, I later received messages requesting money and financial assistance. Several people continued contacting me after I stopped responding, eventually requiring me to block them. The most concerning incident involved a housekeeper who had obtained my WhatsApp information. After I stopped responding, he called my hotel room directly. As a solo female traveler, I found this highly inappropriate and uncomfortable. While management responded appropriately after I raised concerns, the situation should never have occurred in the first place. I also frequently felt unable to enjoy privacy while on the property. Staff members often commented on where I had been, whether they had seen me that day, where I was going, or what I was doing. While I believe these interactions were intended to be friendly, the frequency became overwhelming and made it difficult to fully relax. The beach experience was another major disappointment. Guests looking for a quiet, relaxing beach vacation should understand that the beach is not private. I was approached constantly by vendors attempting to sell products and services. Even while wearing earbuds, declining conversation, or trying to walk peacefully along the shoreline, I was repeatedly approached and often followed by vendors. To be fair, the vendors operating within the resort itself were respectful. The issue was primarily on the public beach area. While the resort provides chairs on a grassy section that offers more privacy, guests hoping to relax on the sand or walk peacefully along the water may find the constant interruptions frustrating. The most difficult part of my stay occurred when I received the devastating news that my mother had unexpectedly passed away while I was at the resort. I immediately had to cancel my remaining plans and return home to the United States. As a result, I forfeited 10 completely unused nights of my reservation, representing approximately $2,300 in prepaid accommodations. I understand policies exist regarding cancellations and third-party bookings. However, I was disappointed that no meaningful accommodation, refund, or credit was offered despite the extraordinary circumstances. Despite these issues, there were positive aspects of my stay. My room was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Whenever I needed assistance, staff responded quickly. When I had trouble opening my safe, someone was sent immediately to help. When I reported an uncomfortable interaction with a housekeeper, management acted quickly and reassigned my room attendant to Joan, who was wonderful. I would also like to recognize Faith at the front desk, who was professional and helpful throughout my stay. Hassan at the Indian restaurant provided exceptional service, and Gift and Harry at the bar were kind, funny, respectful, and excellent at balancing friendliness while still respecting guests’ personal space. The Indian restaurant was by far the highlight of the resort. The food, presentation, and service were excellent. However, the repeated requests for personal contact information, requests for money from staff, lack of privacy, uncomfortable boundary violations, aggressive vendor environment on the beach, and lack of flexibility following a family tragedy ultimately overshadowed the positive aspects of my experience. Based on my experience, I would not return.
Everything was perfect. The employees are very friendly and helpful from the reception.Very clean enviroment, clean spacious rooms. We loved the evening entertainments from the animation team. Good recommendation from our safari guide Anold +254780652963. The food was delicious and plenty
Great location, amazing staff, lovely hotel, the hotel would not be the same without the staff. Food one of the best we have ever had. Chef Evans does a brilliant food presentation and presentation, the menu caters for everyone all nationality/culture and all religions. If you needed something that was not on the menu they would provide it for you, you just need to ask. Trainee cleaner Aziz and the lady he work with have been so accommodating, our room was deligently cleaned everyday, trainee waiter Felix and trainee pastry chef Prudence made sure we were looked after. Brown Ester the waitress also made sure that we were ok. Patience works in the SPA was absolutely amazing, I had the best full body scrub and full body massage ever, relaxing, therapeutic just what I needed. Also had a full manicure and pedicure done by Lilian from the SPA, which was go good. No mosquitoes but we had a mosquito net in our room which is kindly put down every night by the staff at 8pm every night which is a lovely touch. We did a Safari which was very good, seeing the animals in their own natural environment was interesting, we also did a city tour of Mombasa and a trip to a Masai village which we found humbling. I would say be mindful of the monkeys at the resort, they are very cheeky and not frightened of stealing your food. All in all we had a fantastic experience, hotel resort HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAFF AND FANTASTIC FOOD.
Magnificent experience, wonderfull employees, great food. Everything was far better than expected! The monkeys from the resort are very nice. Special thanks to all the employees serving the restaurant and the bars, specialy to Benard from the bar.
A most amazing coast and situation. The staff could not have been more helpful and the facilities are great. We truly enjoyed our stay at Neptune.
