Embudu Village

The location is perfect: 20 min from male with the speed boat. They take care of visitors immediately after arrival at the airport. You just have to walk up to the booth. The food is incredible. The weather changes quite a lot, but if you have enough days here you will enjoy all kinds of weather. We liked the island staff really much. From kind assistance during arrival and departure, to food choice tips at the restaurant or coconut opening. Special thanks to Hovinga, Kamal and Bandiya! We will recommend the island to all our friends.

Our stay at Embudu Village was simply unforgettable! If you're looking for an authentic Maldivian experience, this barefoot island is the perfect destination. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and a stunning house reef with vibrant corals, it's a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. Swimming alongside colorful fish and reef sharks right off the beach was an incredible experience. The island's location is another huge advantage. It's only a 20 minute speedboat transfer from Malé, making the journey quick and convenient while still feeling like a secluded paradise. The food was delicious, offering a great variety every day, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always service-oriented, making us feel at home throughout our stay. A special thank you to General Manager Mr. Ramsay for his warm hospitality and dedication to ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience. Everything about our week at Embudu Village exceeded our expectations. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already dreaming of coming back. We highly recommend Embudu Village to anyone looking for a true Maldivian paradise.

This time we spent 3 weeks in one of the spacious bungalows; always clean & well looked after by our room steward. Usual helpful friendly staff throughout the resort, plentiful buffets in the restaurant & great service at the bar. Excellent snorkelling on the lovely house reef plus a few boat trips to other reefs arranged by the dive center. We really love it here & plan to return next year.

Great snorkelling and diving destination. After staying at a different atol for a few days I really appreciated Embudu. It’s a modest but beautiful location. I had a nice house close to the beach, WiFi was good and it was clean. At night some ants came to drink some water in the bathroom but didn’t bother me. There is a fridge to chill some drinks. I had a half board option and that was enough for me. I must say that the food was better at the other atol I visited but it has it’s charm. As a tip for the kitchen is to de-bone the chicken dishes. I went snorkelling a couple of times a day and that was fantastic. Turtles, parrot fish, reef sharks. There is a $ 95 fee for transport from the airport. No TV in the rooms but who needs TV at such a wonderful island.

We always choose Embudu Village for our family holidays, and once again, it reminded us why it is one of our favorite places in the Maldives. While planning our children's school holiday, we considered visiting other islands. However, we simply couldn't stay away from Embudu. We fell in love with this every time we visited, and every time we think about trying somewhere else, we worry we might regret it. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality by Mr. Ramsay and Mr. Rasheed. Their kindness made us feel at home right away. What makes Embudu truly special is its untouched natural beauty. The lush greenery, swaying palm trees, white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear lagoon create the feeling of a real tropical paradise. Unlike many modern resorts, Embudu has preserved the authentic charm of the Maldives. Our overwater villa was magical. The glass floor allowed our children to watch colorful reef fish from the comfort of the room, while the breathtaking ocean views and peaceful surroundings gave us the perfect escape from our busy lives. The house reef is one of the island's greatest treasures. Snorkeling around the island revealed stunning coral formations and abundant marine life. The reef is vibrant, healthy, and full of life, an unforgettable experience for both adults and children. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the service was outstanding. A special thank you to the waiters (not sure of the correct name) and the wonderful bar lounge team, whose warm smiles and exceptional customer care made every day even more enjoyable. Embudu Village offers everything we look for in a holiday: natural beauty, a spectacular reef, delicious food, and genuinely caring people.
