Niva Kurumba Maldives

Where do you start with reviewing this place? I think you have to start with the staff – who are all exceptional. All of them. Every restaurant, the bar, the support staff, the water-sports crew – you name it. They are a credit to their employer and their nation. Special shout out to Saeed in the Café, and Saif for the snorkelling. We took the dine-around option and every restaurant was amazing. My favourite was the Indian, my wife preferred the Thai, but they were all excellent. There is something for everyone at every restaurant, even the main buffet. But our tip is to revisit the café every evening for pudding – all epic! We took a few trips and the Dolphin cruise, and the House reef snorkelling were the two highlights. The Shark Point one might have been, but we say no sharks! Apparently, this is rare. The snorkelling off the house reef was amazing. Like sticking your head into the world’s best aquarium every day and less than 2 minutes swim away. We saw sharks there every day – and the highlight was the turtle swims with Saif. Two minutes outside the resort. Unforgettable. And Saif sent us all the Go-Pro videos and pics for free on WhatsApp. Everything here is perfect – and only a ten-minute transfer away from the airport. We came as a couple, but it is perfect for kids – very safe swimming and snorkelling. Congrats to the manager here and all his incredible staff. Unforgettable.

Have lost count of the number of times I’ve stayed here now and this place never ceases to amaze me. Was so good to see so many repeat guests there as well. Someone asked me. Why do I keep coming back to Kurumba? My answer: The people. They’re like family. Every single one of them. It’s always week’s getaway that’s the highlight of my year. The food. The rooms. The facilities. The cleanliness. All top knotch. Big thanks to Saeed, Mngr at front desk, for making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Chef Ramesh and Nur (at the Kurumba Cafe) made sure I was well fed and took exceptional care of me with some amazing curries. Evenings at Athiri bar were just beautiful for sundowners with a gorgeous sunset every evening. Islom (the superstar!) and Darshana were so good running the bar there. They Ensured that guests made it a point to hang there and enjoy the afternoon/ evening. As always thank you for an amazing holiday. Feel so relaxed and refreshed. We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort! 🌴 The water was magical, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect and made our stay truly unforgettable. A special mention to Islom, who looked after us at the bar. He was our absolute favorite! 🥰 He was always so kind, attentive, and welcoming. Thank you for making our experience even more special!

The hotel is very good. The service is excellent. The waiters and bar men are very helpful. We especially like Islom and Sonam at the beach bar. They made perfect cocktails for us.
