The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives

Excellent service. Superb food for most tastes, great attention to detail. Very comfortable and picturesque accommodations. Extraordinary place with the most crystal clear sea waters we have ever seen. So many species of fish! And being able to swim amongst them is such a treat. The facilities are top notch. Everything is clean and well kept. There is always service personnel available when you need something. And the system of bogies they have is great. You just call for one and in a few minutes they are knocking on your door. This is truly a Paradise!

I had a wonderful stay at this resort . The snorkeling area was beautiful, and the food and service were excellent. I would especially like to thank Eva, our island host, for her care and attention throughout our stay. The main purpose of our trip was to celebrate our anniversary, and the team arranged a special dinner for us, which made the occasion even more memorable. There were a few arrangements that were missed despite being promised during the booking process, and we have shared this feedback with the front office manager and There are a few areas that could be improved. We encountered one staff member at the bar who was not very professional and did not treat us politely, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable However, this did not take away from our overall experience. We truly had an amazing time and would definitely return to this property in the future.

We came for our honeymoon and had the best time ever!! Prettiest place! You will be in awe of the water and sea life! We loved finding amazing sea shells, seeing fish stingrays and sharks right off our bungalow. And our highlight was seeing manta rays and dolphins on lucky manta tour even though they are off season. It is a tiny island and easy to get around on bikes! The staff is sooo fun and welcoming. Our guide Shamaau went above and beyond he really felt like our friend and was always happy and smiling. We were so lucky to have him. They plan activities so you can choose to have a busy or relaxing day whatever you prefer. Food is yummy buffet is huge and chefs are soooo nice. We loved Onda restaurant the most!! It’s a must! It was a little rainy during these months but we still got plenty of sun and a nice sunburn! Maldives it worth the visit! We love the standard!

Shamaau made our honeymoon in the Maldives absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to help us plan excursions, activities, and special experiences that made our trip feel truly perfect. He was always incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, but what really stood out was his personality he was constantly smiling, laughing, and bringing such positive energy everywhere he went. Being around him made every excursion more fun and memorable, and he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. The level of hospitality and attention he gave us was exceptional, and it honestly would not have been the same trip without him. He is a huge asset to the resort and deserves to be recognized for the amazing work he does. We also want to thank the other staff members who worked alongside him everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. But Shamaau truly went above and beyond, and we will always remember him as one of the highlights of our honeymoon.

A truly spectacular stay with my family at The Standard, Maldives. It was an unforgettable holiday; the food, hospitality, cocktails, views, room - all flawless. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and lovely. They anticipated our needs, and went over and above expectations daily. The bar, restaurants, villa cleaning team - honestly couldn’t have made our trip better, just the nicest, most interesting people. Unfortunately we didn’t catch everyone’s names but we were overwhelmed with how genuine and lovely all of the staff were. Everyone knew our sons name and gave him lots of attention. Shamaau, our host was brilliant. My infant son’s eye got an infection and he sorted eye drops through the doctor without me even asking. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept us up to date on everything happening on the island daily. The restaurants were incredible, especially BBQ Shack which is a romantic beach set up and Onda, positioned on the end of a pier with beautiful interiors. We saw so much marine life under our villa and just walking around the island, sharks, sting rays & so many fish. Our villa (1 the residence) was spectacular, ocean views, a spacious pool, shade options outside for children & always spotless. It was an upgrade due to a problem with our original room. This was entirely the hotel thinking about our enjoyment and how to make sure we had a lovely trip, not us complaining, which really said a lot about the level of care & client satisfaction that the team strive for. The Standard were able to provide a lovely comfy cot for our baby & a potty for our toddler. Small touches making travelling with children easier. All inclusive was perfect - no hidden costs. Spa massage was brilliant and the spa itself was a lovely little slice of tranquility. We all loved the cinema under the stars, fire show, dolphin spotting, pool party, kayaking & kite flying and snorkelled everyday in the pristine waters. The music around the hotel was always on point and mornings & evenings DJ sessions really made the vibe. The only tiny bit of feedback would be to add a baby changing table to the toilets in the main area near the pool. Otherwise everything was beyond perfect. Thank you The Standard 💗 we will be back (which is unusual for us!)
