The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was spacious. It is an excellent hotel for families. The food was delicious, and we had a wonderful vacation. You can book restaurant reservations and check activity schedules via the dedicated app. Since our seaplane departure on checkout day was early, I did wish there had been an option to choose a different time slot.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Standard, Maldives, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to make my stay incredibly special. I was welcomed with beautiful room decorations, romantic surprises, flowers, and thoughtful little touches that made me feel truly celebrated. Every detail was so well planned, and it made my time there even more memorable. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the spa. The experience was exceptional—peaceful, luxurious, and incredibly relaxing. The therapist was fantastic, and I left feeling completely refreshed. It’s definitely a must-try when visiting the resort. A special thank you to our Villa Host, Shamaau, who was simply amazing. He was warm, attentive, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. His genuine hospitality and attention to detail made my stay seamless and even more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at The Standard Maldives for creating such beautiful memories. This place is beautiful, the white sand, the clear blue sea. This place has many activities to do like Diving, kayaking, snorkeling and surfing. I stayed in the water villa room number 55 and it's really clean and cozy. The treatment was spot on, the waiters and waitresses were kind and all the staff was really nice. Our stay at The Standard Maldives was truly unforgettable, and it is a place our family will always remember with so much love. From the moment we arrived at the airport we were welcomed with the warmest smiles and taken to the resort’s beautiful private airport lounge, which was decorated in a lovely bohemian style with lush plants and a gorgeous macramé wall hanging that we absolutely loved. Complimentary coffee, snacks, and games like chess were available, and our children had plenty of space to play while we relaxed. The highlight of our stay was, without a doubt, the incredible staff. Every single person we met was genuinely kind, friendly, and always ready to help. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home and made our vacation even more special. We stayed in a beautiful Beach Villa and were given a warm welcome, a resort tour, and a helpful briefing upon arrival. The resort app made it easy to check daily activities and timings, and complimentary Wi Fi was available throughout the island. Our villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and just steps away from the crystal clear ocean. We loved our private pool and waking up each morning to watch the breathtaking sunrise from our room. Our children had the best time. They loved the private pool, the large bathtub, and especially the Kids Club, where there were so many fun activities to enjoy. Seeing them so happy made our trip even more memorable. We also appreciated having snorkelling masks and swimming rings provided so we could enjoy the beautiful lagoon together. The food was delicious, and the room service was always quick and excellent. One of the sweetest moments of our stay was celebrating my birthday. I was surprised with a beautiful birthday cake, candles, and a beautifully decorated bed. A special thank you to Mr. Poula for such a thoughtful gesture that made my birthday truly unforgettable. Everything about our stay was wonderful, but what we will remember most is the kindness of the people. Thank you to everyone at The Standard Maldives for giving our family such beautiful memories. We have just returned from The Standard, Maldives, and can honestly say that this was the most beautiful family holiday we have experienced so far. The island is stunning, the atmosphere is relaxed, stylish and refreshingly different, and the food was consistently excellent across all the restaurants we visited. What truly sets this resort apart, however, is its people. From the moment we arrived, we experienced extraordinary warmth, attentiveness and genuine hospitality. Whenever we had a question or raised a concern, the team listened carefully, responded immediately and made a sincere effort to find the best possible solution. We never felt that our feedback was simply being managed. We felt that people genuinely cared about our family and wanted us to have an unforgettable stay. A very special thank-you goes to our host, Zainu. He was outstanding from beginning to end: responsive, professional, thoughtful and always one step ahead. He handled every request with warmth and efficiency and contributed enormously to making our holiday so memorable. We were also fortunate to get to know the General Manager, Justin, personally. His warmth, openness and genuine interest in our family were exceptional. We greatly appreciated the many meaningful conversations we shared with him, as well as his very kind invitation to a children’s birthday celebration. It made us feel far more like welcomed friends than hotel guests. Throughout our stay, we received many thoughtful surprises, including vouchers, upgrades, complimentary experiences and other generous gestures. We appreciated every one of them, but what mattered most was not their material value. It was the genuine care, generosity and personal attention behind them. One of the absolute highlights was a private BBQ dinner on the beach. The setting was beautiful, the food and service were excellent, and the entire experience had been prepared with extraordinary care. Our final evening was equally unforgettable. The team created many personal and unexpected moments for us, and several staff members spent time at our table. These were not simply polite conversations or the usual small talk, but warm, sincere and often very personal exchanges. It was a beautiful and emotional farewell. Like almost any resort, The Standard is not perfect. Some villas and facilities would benefit from refurbishment, a few details could be communicated more clearly before arrival, and certain aspects of maintenance and pricing could be improved. What impressed us, however, was the openness and seriousness with which every point was addressed. The team listened, took responsibility and did everything possible to improve our experience. By the time we left, these points were not what defined our holiday. What we will remember is the beauty of the island, the outstanding food, the relaxed atmosphere, the thoughtful surprises and, above all, the extraordinary people who made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for.
