Villa Park Sun Island

What a fantastic resort. So clean and tidy. Best staff i have ever encountered. Spent many a evening at the Coffee Bar. Beautiful views and great music. CANCHAN is absolutely brilliant. So kind, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I really hope the manager sees this review as she is fantastic. Well done Canchan and thanks for the memories.

I don't know from where to start my review of this Resort. First will start with positive thoughts. Staff was amazing, helping, smiling and on and on and on. From the pool cleaner to the buffet staff they are amazing and keep what's left of this resort. We pay to upgrade our room because the room we was given was from 20 years ago renovated. We pay for the most expensive room available only to get in 100m of us construction site and all the noise and dirty ocean which was possible. They was pumping sand from the sea and can image wasn't possible to go and swim as the water was dirty from all above. Well of course this wasn't mentioned to us when we upgraded the room. Because we was in the Deluxe Beach pool Vila located on the end of the resort the buggy waiting time was 15-25 minutes but obviously not much we can do. We pay for Non-swimmer snorkeling experience trip. On the day the tide was low which was visible from the our port clearly. When we get to the inhabited island where we was told we going the captain say the Tide is too low can get close enough to the island you have to swim to there. I look the ocean it's was dark blue couldn't even see the bottom. We told him we can't swim and he was surprised to hear that. They make phone calls because obviously we refuse to jump in the deep water . They told us we going to another similar island . When we went there the island was service island full to the top with piles of rubbish everywhere possible. We was told that's what we gonna have as a trip. This time me manage to do a bit snorkeling but not a lot as again water was too dip and all the coral reef was on the deep water which is not suitable for Non-swimmer. We paid for that trip nearly $300 Food was average which I presume for the money you paid it's okay. One think they had a few different private dinners which was for different occasion but Food menu was always exactly the same. Well price was every time different but menu was the same and same boring. Well every time when you order a drink even if you all inclusive they was chasing us with receipt to sign before we leave which all people find a bit annoying. All the activities program for the evening was repeating every other day again and again and again. So to summer this was average resort with outdated management with a lot staff to be improved and implemented. Half of the resort is a building site with a lot of noise and dust around you. If they ever need advice what to improve they can contact me .

Just got back from a ten day stay. Had the most amazing time. Place was spotless food wax fabulous and plenty of being a vegan I had no problem. Big shout out to Bodey who really looked after us in the restaurant. Lovely man. Also to the lovely dewi in the coffee bar always served with a smile. All in all a lovely relaxing stay

We had a very great vacation at Villa Park Sun Island. From the beginning we’ve had a great experience. On arrival we had a introduction with our point of contact Simna Varghese who was really great and helpful. She explained everything and we could contact her with any questions during our stay. Villa/Room: Our beach villa was good if a little small for three people but since we were outside most of the time it didnt really bother us. Service: The services were great. At the restaurant, bar or elsewhere; the staff was always friendly and helpful. The area was very beautiful and clean and was always being kept intact. The food was very good and there was a wide selection of food and it was also declared when something was vegetarian or not. Activity: there were a lot of activities that you could do during the day (Aqua fitness, diving, snorkeling) and in the evening (band, fire show) and also a lot of activities for kids. All in all it was a fantastic vacation in a great resort and we would go there again anytime.

The whole stay was fabulous, but what impressed us the most was the organization of the staff. From the pick-up at the airport, the seaplane ride to the island, the way we were waited on at the reception, the organization on the island, the way all the staff smiled, the fact that you received a towel after you came out of snorkeling, the way you were served and we didn't have to do anything, the departure to the airport, everything was amazing and gave us the feeling that we were in a dream holiday. The location is dreamy and is exactly what you think of when you say exotic holiday: turquoise water, fine white sand, rich vegetation. At the reception, we were greeted by Raish, who did everything to make us feel good. We had the Beach Villa room, with direct access to the beach. The rooms are spacious, very clean, but the furniture a bit outdated. For superior comfort I recommend the "deluxe" rooms which are renovated. We tried to upgrade but because it was fully booked, it was only possible in the last two nights, when we got the Water Villa, which is clearly something else. Shah Alam always greeted us with a smile and a glass of cold water at the table at the Maaniya restaurant, from where you could always admire a wonderful view. I need to mention our room attendant Venkat because always surprises us with small figurines from towels and flower arrangements, which he prepared for us on the bed. All I can say is that I will definitely come back
