My family and I have just returned from a chilled weeks stay at the Lagoon Attitude to belatedly celebrate my daughters 30th birthday in April. We booked through Trailfinders. We had requested 3 couples seafront rooms adjacent to each other if possible and this was arranged for us. We stayed in rooms 802, 803 and 804. These were located overlooking the small cove and between the Coral pool/bar/restaurant and the main pool/Seabreeze bar. We thought it was a perfect location for us all. The rooms are rustic as described online, but comfortable with lots of storage areas. The shower always had hot water, although the pressure did fluctuate. The rooms were kept clean and tidy too, with towels changed regularly. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and the food in all of the restaurants was of a high standard. I am gluten free and there were always dishes I could have. There was always a range of gf breads and the gluten free chia rolls were delicious. At breakfast there was a separate toaster clearly marked as being for gluten free only and the bread was delicious toasted. The afternoon tea was more limited. There were no savoury dishes available but always a cookie/biscuit and cake. To be honest I was still too full to want much more. I also like the Teabaz area and tried out the different teas. The resort staff are all so friendly and welcoming. We were greeted as the Clark family by Raja whenever he saw us. Veeky in Taba-J/Kot Nou and Coral, on our last lunch when Taba-J had to relocate due to the weather, spent time chatting with us and was informative about my favourite Rose wine - Takamaka (the White was good too) and life in Mauritius. Bradley helped the three ladies to relax in the Meditation class, which took place in the Esplande above the water sports centre looking out to sea and then put us through our paces in Pilates. We all felt the after effects for 3 days and knew we'd had a workout! We ranged in age from 27-62. He also spent time chatting to us as a family. The waitress in Wave was always smiley and friendly. Very efficient too but sadly I didn't get her name. Then there's the funny barman in Seabreeze who told everyone it was our wedding anniversary or wished one of us Happy Birthday. He likes chocolate cake apparently! There was no stampede for sunbeds, although the sun worshipers were out early to reserve the sunbeds along the promontory, which were in the sun all day. There were signs saying no reserving of sunbeds, but this didn't seem to be enforced. However, when we were there we didn't have a problem getting sunbeds together. We tried the beach, which went in the shade quite early in the day and being winter in Mauritius the sun was gone by 5:00. Then we tried the area to the left of the beach as you face the sea, which was peaceful. It got very windy in our last few days with an anti-cyclone out at sea and we found that the Coral inside pool area was the most sheltered. I would advise to book the restaurants in advance of your stay if you can, especially if you are only there for a week like us. We ate in all the A la Carte restaurants. All were good in different ways. In Lemongrass they were fun taking photos for us and even letting our son have Gyoza instead of a dessert on our second visit! A compliment to the chefs I believe. Coral was more formal and we were very well looked after there by a gentleman with a great sense of humour. Kot Nou is the Mauritian restaurant and Veeky looked after us very well here. He was in Benitier on our last morning and had even set up a table for us specially. The younger members of the family and my husband played Padel a couple of times and all the courts (tennis/padel/pickle-ball) were nearly always busy apparently. We booked the Sunset Cruise which was great fun with Captain Benson, Jeff and another gentleman whose name I didn't catch and our glasses were kept replenished. We danced away with another lovely couple who were on their honeymoon, but unfortunately the clouds came over at the exact time of the sunset. The four younger members of our party also did the kayak trip to the mangroves. It was hard work getting back against the tide as it was quite choppy even for my son who is very fit. The four younger members also used the gym several times during our stay and enjoyed it there. The resort cares for some stray dogs and cats, which I wouldn't be a fan of personally, but Bella (or Sandy as my daughter named her) took to us and would come and join us regularly of an evening, so that in the end we even had to get her a chair otherwise she'd steal someone elses! We booked the courtesy huts for our last day as we weren't leaving until 4:40 from the resort. These had air conditioning, a shower, wash basin and hair dryer and towels provided. There was plenty of space especially in No:1. All the staff work hard to ensure you have a fantastic holiday and there is a tip box in reception or you can tip individually. We did a combination as we had only large denomination notes. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at the Lagoon Attitude and were well looked after. We don't usually return to a hotel as I'm worried it wont live up to our last holiday, but we would consider returning here. Maybe at another time of year though as it was cooler here than in the UK, who were experiencing an extreme heatwave. I would also definitely consider another Adults only Attitude hotel as our experience here was exceptional Thank you for a holiday to remember!
We stayed at The Lagoon Attitude 2 - 16 June. Despite a few heavy showers we consider it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. It was the tropical island holiday we had hoped for, and more. The accomodation was everything we were hoping for. The whole site was picturesque and kept very clean. Not so sure about having cats wandering around the dining room though. The staff were all brillient, happy and friendly & couldn't do enough. Henna stood out among all the hard workers. She worked in the Amphitheatre during the afternoons and evenings. She smiled the whole time, checking you were ok, if you needed anything and remembering who ordered what. It was really noticeable when she was off, as the others seemed to struggle remembering who ordered what. We will remember this holiday forever and would certainly recommend this hotel.
Quite simply the best hotel we have stayed at, we have been fortunate enough to travel and the Lagoon Attitude is the best. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a beautiful setting and the buildings themselves blend into nature. The facilities could not be faulted, the beach just beautiful. The outstanding feature was the staff, they could not have been more attentive, helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful 12-night stay at Lagoon Attitude and had such a lovely holiday. The food was excellent, with a great choice of restaurants throughout our stay. Our favourite was definitely Lemongrass – the food was absolutely delicious, and the chefs and waiters were fantastic. We looked forward to eating there every time. The pool area was always clean and had a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the relaxed daytime vibe, but it was also great fun during the Saturday pool party! The bar staff were always friendly and we never had to wait long for a drink. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower could probably do with a little updating, but it certainly didn’t affect our stay. The entertainment team worked really hard and offered a wide range of activities throughout the day, including aqua gym and pilates. A special thank you to Kheswar, who made us feel so welcome. Thank you as well for the padel lesson – so much fun! He also got everyone up dancing and helped create a brilliant atmosphere in the evenings. The evening entertainment was varied, with something for everyone. Our only suggestion would be to extend it beyond 10:30 pm, particularly at the weekend, as we would have happily stayed out enjoying the atmosphere for a little longer. The snack shop is a good idea and convenient to have on site; however, as the hotel is quite remote, it would be great if a wider variety of options were available. The beach area is beautiful, and we'd also like to recognise the staff who worked incredibly hard clearing the seaweed. They do an amazing job. The only thing we would have preferred is a longer stretch of beach rather than the lagoon, as it would have been lovely to walk further along the shoreline. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff are genuinely friendly and hardworking, and we left with some amazing memories. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lagoon Attitude to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Mauritius.
