Long Beach Mauritius

A fantastic 10 night stay at long beach, Food is delicious and plenty of variety in the buffet as well as the restaurants that require booking. Beach is beautiful although a few of the cushions on the loungers have seen better days. Which is the theme across the hotel ,certain areas are looking little tired and either need a deep clean or decorating. We had stains on sofas and Curtains as well as mouldy silicone in shower. The service from staff is either excellent or not great , Samia from the restaurant is outstanding and deserves a pay rise as she is always happy smiling and so hardworking. The adults pool is nice but the beds are not big enough to sunbathe and some people bring their kids in which is frustrating. It got extremely busy on our second week with sun beds getting reserved early around 7 am for the best spots. I would return but these issues have been highlighted for months and months on trip advisor but nothing seems to be done!!

Had the most amazing, relaxing experience. Facilities are great, food is excellent, rooms are great. Service is top tier. Special shoutout to Samia who was so freindly and helpful to us and welcoming towards to my baby. Devanshu, who was extremely friendly and anticipated my baby’s needs. From the first day, he remembered what I needed to make my baby’s porridge and would then bring it for me everyday. Samia and Devanshu would also come to greet my baby in every restaurant. My baby loved Samia and Devanshu and would get very excited to see them. Annabelle and Valerie were very friendly and would remember our morning drinks orders and bring it to us everyday. Jinu and Neha were also very friendly and helpful. Staff at all restaurants would take great care of our baby, offering to bring him purées and fruits to eat, as well as baby chairs. Overall great resort, very clean and modern, excellent food. But special care from staff is what makes it special 🤎

I was very disappointed with my experience at Long Beach. For a hotel marketed as 5-star, the property feels very ageing and poorly maintained. The room was old and had a bad smell, and several things were not in proper working condition, including a broken kettle and a broken balcony door. The overall infrastructure looks tired and in need of serious refurbishment. Another major disappointment was the dining experience. I was unable to get a booking at the restaurant that required reservation, so I had no choice but to eat at the main restaurant. Unfortunately, the food there was terrible — very limited choice and poor quality. As someone who does not eat seafood, I found that there were almost no suitable alternatives available, and I was left with little option other than vegetables. Service was also below expectations and poorly trained. Staff gave the impression of looking down on locals, which made the experience even more unpleasant. On top of that, there was an error on the restaurant bill, and no apology was offered. Overall, for the price charged and the 5-star claim, this hotel is definitely not worth it. There are many better alternatives available that offer far better value, service, and overall quality.

7 times to Mauritius. 1st stay at Long Beach, most certainly coming back!! Family friendly and exceptional service in the dining areas as-well as the pool! Add some loungers at the pool please for the late risers.

Truly a week in paradise. This is a resort that I highly recommend for families. The beach is excellent, good water sport, rooms are large and comfortable, food Is excellent and service is brilliant.
