Long Beach Mauritius

This will be a long one as we have so many people to thank for a perfect holiday! We had the most perfect 10 days at Long Beach. All the staff were kind and welcoming, the hotel is amazing, the food is excellent and the activities included were incredible! I would like to thank Yushra and Chloe (Sapori) for looking after us every morning - coffee and soya milk appeared on our table like magic! They also made sure my food was always safe (I’m gluten free) and brightened our day with their wonderful personalities! Thank you to the wonderful chefs who made me delicious GF pasta and a GF pizza too - it was so nice to have these options, it’s not usual to get these on an all inclusive holiday. At Tides - Raj, Essen, Valerie, Gayetree, Singh and Dhiraj looked after us almost every lunchtime (and a few dinner times too). They were all such a joy to talk to and, again, knew exactly how to look after me and my dietary requirements! Other staff there were also so incredibly helpful but I didn’t write down their names - I’m sorry but please know I appreciated you all! Again, thank you to the chefs who adapted meals for me and cooked me chips from scratch separately from the usual fryers! At Chopsticks I had the most delicious duck (twice), thank you to the chefs who adapted it for me! I’ll be dreaming of that duck for a long time! At Le Marche (the buffet) there were gluten free pancakes every morning and the most incredible selection of fruit! The chefs were so helpful at dinner and there were many, many gluten free options! The staff also kindly sang happy birthday to my husband whose birthday it was the day we arrived (and he got a big cake too). Thank you!!! The boat house was one of our favourite parts of the hotel, being able to go snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding etc each day was incredible. It was my first time snorkelling and it was mind blowing - my husband says it was better than his experience of the Great Barrier Reef!!! Thank you to Nicholas and the guys at the boat house, and to the wonderful Anthony who drove us out to the reef! We couldn’t leave a review without a big shout out to Kissoon, the hotel’s marine biologist! My children absolutely loved Kissoon (as did we). Kissoon lead a marine discovery tour which the children loved. Kissoon also kindly invited us to look at the dry aquarium and spent a good hour teaching us and the kids about the reef and Mauritian wildlife - I could have stayed all day listening to Kissoon!! Thank you! A big thank you to all the ladies at the kids club. This was the first time the children agreed to go and I think it’s because of how welcoming the space and staff are. The facilities are great and there are many activities arranged each day. An extra big thank you to Vishwanee for spending a very long time hennaing my daughter’s shoulder. She’s been showing it off to all her friends today. Another thank you to the lovely cleaning staff, especially the gentleman who spent an evening trying to catch a geko with us. In summary, I would highly recommend Long Beach. It’s beautiful and there’s so much to do but, ultimately, the kindness of the staff is what makes it the best experience you’ll ever have!

I’ve had the best time since being here. It’s my second visit and I would come back every year if I could. Ashdeep has been keeping our rooms nice and clean, Albin has been providing friendly service and catering to all of our needs. Aurelie and Dhiraj have been looking after us every lunch time making sure we have the best time. Thank you so much to all the staff, couldn’t ask for a better experience.

It was not a good experience. The rooms were dated and the food was mediocre. We had my sons wedding there and the events manger Morna Berthelot was rude and. Obnoxious. She changed the venue to an ugly old unsatisfactory venue. Although we paid full board, she charged us a fortune for the dinner for 35 people. She rips you off if you do not check the prices. Choose hotels in the North. she did not provide the full canapes that we paid for. she was not around to ensure that everything was in order. Morna is a complete disaster.

Our stay has been outstanding from start to finish. Every member of staff has been exceptional, from the front-of-house team and housekeeping staff to the waiters, waitresses, and sports club personnel. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail have made our experience truly memorable. The food has been excellent throughout our stay, with an impressive variety of choices available. It was particularly refreshing to see a resort that offers children a wide range of quality dining options rather than relying solely on the usual chicken nuggets and chips. The buffet selection was extensive and consistently delicious, while the à la carte restaurants delivered beautifully prepared and flavourful dishes. My golfing experience was fantastic, with the course and surroundings providing a truly enjoyable day. We also took part in the Five Island Tour, which was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a wonderful holiday experience. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort and hope to return in the future.
