Long Beach Mauritius

Great hotel thanks to Pravesh & Pamela for the take away pizza on our last day at the beach 😋

We had a great time at long beach and the golf courses with perfect organisation from tee time to pick up. The food was outstanding and the days at the beach and pool as perfect as those on golf course. Our morning always began with a wonderful breakfast and kind staff, especially Yusrah, who let us start the day with a smile. My 5 year old loved the kids club and the beach as well as the pool where just perfect for her. We will definitely be back soon.

Had a great couple of weeks at Long Beach. 4 good food options - Tides was our personal favourite. Great to be able to use the water sports equipment with no extra charge. Over Easter is was full - so had to get out early to get a decent sunbed - after that was fine and quieter. Staff are really friendly and helpful with getting our 9 month old puréed food for lunch and dinner.

Beautiful location. Great service and facilities. Pool and beach location was ideal for us. The pool and bar manager Manoo was terrific as were Shannon and Cynthia. Rooms were spacious and well maintained by the team and restaurants offered variety and quality across a range of cuisines. Kids club was organised well and our grand daughter was keen to attend. Staff were excellent. Adult pool was outstanding. Very calm and peaceful while the main pool offered activities including water polo and water aerobics. On the beach we could enjoy the view or take a short walk to water activities including paragliding, snorkelling or pedalo. There was a free ride on a glass bottom boat to the reef or if you wanted you could take a kayak out. All in all a great place for a holiday.

This is definitely not a 5-star hotel; I would rate it a 4-star at best. The property is quite worn and in desperate need of some TLC. The bathrooms were mouldy, electrical plugs didn't work, and the floors were dirty and damaged. This lack of maintenance extends all over the resort—facilities are damaged, and the pool has cracked and missing tiles. The restaurant is okay, but anyone with food allergies should absolutely avoid it. Buffet items aren't labeled with ingredients, just the names of the dishes. Furthermore, birds were all over the bread and cereals on multiple occasions. Overall, if you can look past these issues, it's not a bad spot for families. It just completely lacks the luxury aspect you would expect from a 5-star hotel.
