Long Beach Mauritius

It's been an amazing stay here with awesome view and good spread of buffet. This place has something for everyone. Service has been great , Annabelle has served us quite sometime during breakfast and dinner.

Long Beach Hotel, where to begin... First of all, the Long Beach Mauritius is located in a fantastic scenery which fulfils all aspects of a tropical paradise dream holiday. Things which are really positive: 1)Fantastic wide spread beach, with white sands and cristal clear waters, therefore the hotel name "Long Beach" really applies. 2)Lovely Adult-Only Inifinity Pool (which we needed, I will come to that in the negative section shortly) with comfy sunbeds, spectacular views of the white sand beach and bay. 3)Spacious Rooms with smart solutions like separated wardrobes, sinks, shower, toilet and the biggest TV we ever faced in a hotel room, lovely wintergarden-style terrace/ balcony with perfect pool/ sea views, up to 4 meter high ceilings which provide an airy/ open room feeling. 4)Spectacular Wellness-Area „Glow“, in a lush tropical garden providing jungle vibes. 5)Outstanding sports facilities including spinning bikes, championship swimming pool, tennis and padel courts, climbing wall, therefore facilities which we have not spotted in any other hotel so far. 6)Lovely included a-la carte beach restaurant for dinner (which we needed, I will come to that in the negative section shortly) with the friendliest staff/ service of the hotel. Unfortunately there were a number of negative experiences we also need to raise as these were impacting our overall holiday experience quite badly: 1)After our journey of nearly 24 hours from Germany we arrived at the reception at 1:30 PM and were told that we need to wait another 30 minutes as the room is contractually not available before, which we found a bit awkward in terms of guest handling, being a wanna be 5-Star Hotel. 2)Being told this, the reception suggested to go to the pool/ beach bar to enjoy a refreshing drink until the room can be entered at exactly 2:00 PM. Of course these drinks were not complimentary and we paid for a rather untasty local beer/ coffee experience the countervalue of 15 EUR (Rip-Off!). 3)The next shock came at the evening buffet, as this I do not know how to describe it, unpleasant hall/ cantine, with partially cold food from chafing stations (Culinary War Zone!) needs urgent renovation, why we tried to spend all other dinners at the a-la-carte beach restaurant (Highly Recommended!). 4)The other downside is related to the manners of the other guests, especially huge groups of kids which behaved quite badly touching pancakes by hand, putting naked feet on furniture, etc. We know by experience with our own kids, that this is mainly the duty of the the parents, but we do see a partial monitoring/ need for action responsibility also by the hotel management. 5)However the main concern refers to our treatment at check-out as our expense deposit of nearly 250 EUR was not known to the receptionist. Luckily we were able to justify this deposit by finding/ presenting the receipt received at arrival/ check-in, as even the online-debit position of our credit card showing the parked deposit amount was not accepted. In summary, the Long Beach hotel is located in a fantastic paradise surrounding and you can enjoy a lovely holiday there, even as a couple, if avoiding the main restaurant completely and keeping all your bills just in case. However if we come back to Mauritius we would definately try some other accomodation as there are better ones.

I was at Long Beach for a glow spa and lunch day package had a really good experience with mme kamila from glow spa she is very polite good customer service gentle and lovable really like her massage and everything

Everything was amazing….the main reason I choose this place was the Kids Club, they did not disappoint. The activities there are interactive, age appropriate and fun, my daughter enjoyed herself so much. Thank you to the staff there, they are excellent with the kids with Clarissa and Geallle being just god-sents so kind and gentle with the kids. Best kids program I have experienced yet and it gave me a chance to enjoy my holiday too. The resort is so beautiful, well maintained, friendly staff, absolutely courteous and take customer service to another level. With the chefs going the extra mile to cater to my daughter’s meal requirements if she didn’t like what was on offer in the buffet and the service by Celine (Breakfast time) , Melissa (Breakfast time) and Babitha (Housekeeping) just being exceptional . Amazing amazing time was had and will definitely choose this place again and again it far exceeded my expectations. Again everything was amazing…including the fitness centre and resort water activities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Great 10 days at long beach, Mauritius. Food, wine and hospitality excellent with a huge thank you to Ramesh (world’s best ‘pool boy’) and Kamlesh for making it even more special and ensuring we got home safely each night. Wine lady appreciates it 🙌
