LUX* Belle Mare

I have never left a review before, but for this I am taking the time. We visited Mauritius for the first time for our honeymoon, and I honestly do not even know where to begin with the praise. The hotel is a pure 10/10. Anyone expecting luxury at the highest level and a completely relaxed holiday is absolutely in the right place here. All the staff are incredibly friendly and warm-hearted. Then there is the food: my wife and I had actually already made a clear plan of where we wanted to eat outside the hotel because we wanted to explore the island. But every single day we looked at the buffet and thought, “No, we are staying at the hotel.” For us, it was truly Michelin-star-level cuisine. Then there are the room attendants. I would especially like to mention our two by name: Mandini and Sanam. Thank you so much for a spotless room—so clean you could eat off the floor. Both of them were extremely friendly and warm-hearted. Also, a thousand thanks to everyone else whose names I do not know. You made our honeymoon truly unique. When we come back to Mauritius, it will only be here!!!!!

Had an amazing stay at LUX* Belle Mare. The room was incredibly spacious, the bed was so comfortable, and the views were absolutely stunning throughout the resort. The service was impeccable overall, with the only downside being the wait at check-in. A special mention to Bilall at the LUX bar who always looked after me and even became my personal photographer during the trip! The staff at the buffet and restaurants were all fabulous and made every meal such a great experience. I also had a fantastic massage at the spa which was another highlight of the stay. The beach, pool, and breathtaking views truly made this place unforgettable. A beautiful resort that I would definitely recommend and love to return

We had an amazing holiday at Lux Belle Mare! We are somewhat wary of returning to a destination, but having really enjoyed our time at the hotel last year, we decided to return again this April to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Immediately on arrival we were recognised by Alisha on reception, who warmly welcomed us and gave us big hugs like we were long lost friends. On learning that it was our anniversary, Alisha advised Jennifer, the Hotel’s Celebrations Manager, who arranged an excellent package of experiences for us to enjoy during our stay. Both Alisha and Jennifer were so friendly and welcoming, we were made to feel truly special. The hotel was exactly as we had remembered it from last year, with top grade rooms, lovely food, grounds and facilities, together with friendly employees who strive to provide a first rate service. The beach is lovely and safe. It might be unfair on the staff members we omit to mention below, as we can’t remember all of their names, but here are a few who really made our holiday extra special:- Alisha and Jennifer who we previously mentioned. Rajiv the chef, who gave us a cookery lesson in preparing a Mauritian prawn curry along with the recipe, and was very friendly at our evening meals in the Mondo restaurant. Ashveena, Dolores and Juyan who regularly served us in the restaurant. Bilal, Krissan and Yashveer (he had even heard of Exeter City !), the three charming baristas. Bala our room attendant, who whilst clearly working long hours, always had a friendly smile and went out of his way to ensure that our room was clean and fully stocked. Finally Sheila the General Manager who was only too happy to engage and spend time with us. We might regard ourselves as being an”ordinary” couple but the staff made us feel special and we experienced a truly excellent holiday. This was our eighth time on Mauritius having previously stayed at a number of different hotels and while the island has a large selection to choose from, we believe that as an overall package you would be hard to find one better than LUX* Belle Mare. Thoroughly recommended.

First time in Mauritius and we chose to stay in 2 different areas,the second being the Luxe,the beach,my goodness! Our first stay didn’t really have one in the north so to finish our holiday with the beach of all beaches was incredible! The staff were all delightful and the food in each restaurant was heavenly!! The incredible building amongst the fauna was beautiful and our room was delightful. Thank you to each and everyone of you for making us feel so welcome,we had the best of stays and we miss our spot on the beach watching the sunrise each morning!

We travel extensively and have been fortunate enough to stay in many luxury hotels around the world, but LUX* Belle Mare is in a class entirely of its own. From the moment we arrived until the moment we leave later today, every aspect of our stay has been absolutely flawless. The villa was beautiful, immaculate, and maintained to the very highest standards. The food throughout the resort has been exceptional — consistently excellent across every restaurant and meal. The cleanliness everywhere is remarkable, the beach area is stunning and perfectly maintained, and the gym and fitness facilities and services are among the best hotel facilities we have used. What truly makes this hotel extraordinary, however, is the staff. Every single member of the team has been warm, thoughtful, attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring without ever being intrusive. The level of service we experienced was simply world class. We would particularly like to commend Suren, Kumar, Mahem, Girish (at the beach) and Ashveena at Mondo for their superb professionalism and kindness. They each went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, anticipating needs before we even asked and always making us feel genuinely valued and cared for. Simple things. Girish got our beds ready with a drink. Ashveena remembered our names and room number. A very special thank you as well for the incredibly thoughtful effort made to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were both deeply touched, and it created memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. LUX* Belle Mare has set a completely new standard for us. We genuinely cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are looking for a truly luxurious resort with outstanding staff, exceptional food, immaculate standards, superb facilities, and a flawless guest experience, this is it.
