LUX* Belle Mare

1) the hotel site should mention that this is a family hotel, as there are many very young children. The pool is crowded with young children and the “adults only” area is not respected. It feels more like a large paddling pool than an actual swimming pool. 2) As soon as we arrived, we were asked to pay for the two rooms. We didn't have time to drink the welcome mocktail ! Are they afraid that guests will leave without paying? However, when I asked for a breakdown and the invoice, the person at the cashier gave me a vague handwritten note ??? A small piece of advice: you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. To make matters worse, we were charged twice EUR 265 for the transfer, even though I clearly told the lady handling the payment that I had already paid. She made a phone call and confirmed that the transfer had not been paid and that I needed to settle it. When I returned to the room, I checked the scribbled note I had received upon arrival and indeed the transfer had already been charged. To this day, we are still waiting for the refund of the overcharge. I have sent several emails to complain, but to no avail. This is simply dishonest and unacceptable. 3) The corridor leading to the rooms looks like something out of a 1950s American motel… :-) 4) Yoga classes at 7:00 a.m.? Has no one informed you that guests are often on vacation and do not necessarily wake up at 6:00 a.m. to attend yoga at 7:00? The 5:00 p.m. yoga classes are charged... I paid for a more expensive "wellness room" just because a yoga mat was provided, and in the end I didn’t even use it… Who are you kidding? 5) Overall, this hotel absolutely does not meet the standards of a 5-stars hotel. I will not return and would not recommend it. At almost EUR 600 per night (even with a 20% discount!), the value for money is simply not there. 7) the food is good. But still not enough for the overall prices. 8) the garden is nice and very well taken care of.

Perfect holiday, with ambient friendly atmoshere, very high quality food and services, very nice polite staff ready to help you whenever. Beutiful sandy long beach ideal for small kids, for adults too. We were there fourth times and again very satisfied.

Amazing 5 star all inclusive resort for families. We stayed here for 8 nights and had a great time. Pool and beach are perfect for little ones, kids club has many activities and starts at 3 years old. Truly amazing customer service by all members of staff, food is impeccable. We loved Lux Belle Mare and were very sad to leave! If you are looking for an adults only, quiet trip, maybe best to go elsewhere as this definitely is a great 5 star experience for families.

Beautifully presented extremely delicious. Well worth a trip to the Lux hotel to come here. The interior has been renovated since we last came. Service excellent. I gave the review a 4 out of 5 only due to the AC being inadequate for a space with so many tandoor ovens - it was a bit uncomfortable but they opened a window which resolved it. A lovely night out
