LUX* Grand Gaube

We stayed here for 10 days for our honeymoon and it was such a great experience! Facilities: Pros: - anything you could want in the hotel was available. When we arrived for check in they gave us a complimentary room upgrade and spoke us through all the facilities at the hotel - one thing we didn’t know at first was being able to reserve complimentary spa facilities, but when we visited on our last day it was an amazing experience. Dinesh and Sun were so great! And Sun really is a ball of energy it was so lovely speaking with her - the hotel’s fumigation is amazing as we never encountered any mosquitos during our stay. ⁃ there is an in house cinema, managed by Julien and Adrien who were amazing! They made the experience unforgettable and we bonded very well with them too. ⁃ The honeymoon package is amazing and it was such a nice addition to the experience. ⁃ There were loads of activities going on everyday and it’s very easy to spend the entire days in the hotel because of how much there is going on! Cons: - the hotel has 2 pools and we had always gone to the adult pool, however, after around 2pm it would have many leaves falling from the trees surrounding it and dead bugs as well which would make swimming there quite unpleasant. We raised this concern to some of the pool staff who explained that pool maintenance is dealt with by external staff - the room was great however we noticed there were a lot of ants. At one point it did get quite bad so we called housekeeping and they left a bug spray in our room which helped. But we noticed that when housekeeping would clean they would leave the doors wide open for a length of time inviting insects into the room Restaurants: ⁃ there was a great selection to choose from and we thoroughly enjoyed all dishes. We did a cooking class at inti as part of the honeymoon package and it gave us a taste of Peruvian cuisine which instantly sold us. One of the best dishes was ceviche and the chicken leg! Such an explosion of flavours. Bodrum blue was great but our favourite had to be beach rouge because of the staff. Our favourite staff member had to be nund ⁃ The buffet was also good! It felt a bit of a miss on one night however the night after the food was amazing. The staff yasser and akhil were so helpful and so sweet offering to take our plates to the table when we had our dinner by the pool Service: ⁃ the staff were helpful but we felt that at times there would be slight discrimination whereby we’d have to hunt someone down for towels and wait very long times whereas the white guests would just be handed towels without even having to ask, and their drink orders would always be taken. We noticed this more on the adults side but was also present at the main beach too. ⁃ However, once you become friends and become known to the servers they treat you very well often with drinks or desserts on the house. Overall such a great experience and would happily come back

The most amazing location I have been to in my life! Waking up to the beautiful ocean views , walking around the exquisite & peaceful resort - a truly unforgettable experience. The best part has to be the wonderful staff, I have never experienced such warmth before, every staff member is polite and helpful. Our room manager Shehbir was so detailed orientated and friendly, the room was always spotless. The resort also has so much to do for family members of all ages, I wish we could have stayed for longer to experience it all.

One of the most incredible hotels I have ever stayed in—truly unforgettable from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single detail was absolutely perfect. The staff are second to none and were without a doubt the highlight of our trip. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness made us feel so welcome and completely taken care of throughout our stay. The resort offers multiple restaurants, each one more delicious than the next. Every meal felt like a new experience, with exceptional food, beautiful settings, and impeccable service. We were also treated to so many thoughtful touches, including complimentary 30-minute massages and stunning cocktails on the beach each day, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The spa is incredible—featuring a beautiful steam room, sauna, and three different pools to choose from, creating the perfect space to relax and unwind. Each day brought something new and exciting, with opportunities to win lovely experiences such as bike rides and romantic room turn-downs, which added a really fun and unique element to our stay. The hotel and its grounds are immaculately maintained, and the attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. It truly feels like a little paradise. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Malkolm, who truly made our trip magical. From the very first day, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, remembered the little details, and always greeted us with the warmest smile. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him—he consistently anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask. Malkolm brought such a genuine, positive energy every single day, and it was clear how much pride he takes in his work. He has a natural way of making guests feel special and cared for, and he completely elevated our entire experience. It is rare to come across someone so kind, attentive, and hardworking, and he is an absolute credit to the hotel. We are so grateful to him and will genuinely miss seeing him each day. We are already so excited to come back next year—hopefully making this a yearly tradition at such a special place. We went last month to Lux Grand Gaube in Mauritius with our best friends. The service we got there was royal. We’ve travelling for more than 30 years all around the world staying in the nicest 5 star hotels but this was the best we’ve ever experienced. We were spoiled. From the welcoming , to the perfect clean rooms, the service at the beach . And if you think it couldn’t get any better, you’re wrong. Because the cuisine of all the restaurants in the hotel was of the finest quality, Michelin level dishes. A special thanks to chef Ramen, a fantastic chef but even a better person who became a friend. Also special thanks to Sandeep, Kumar and Reena You guys and the full team of Lux Grand Gaube made our vacation unforgettable. Thanks and you will see us again. You are a team of dreammakers
