LUX* Grand Gaube

What an amazing hotel this is! We could not fault our stay, the staff were always so polite and super helpful, the amenities are fab, and the hotel is luxury. We had the all inclusive package which included pretty much everything , we enjoyed all the food/drink options. The only niggle I would have is that personally, we think that the tennis/paddle/golf should be included in the all inclusive package, but it isn’t to expensive if you wanted to try. Our cleaner Jessica and another man (I cannot remember his name but it began with an S) were so lovely, cleaned the room perfectly, and it was even checked before you came back to your room at night with the covers folded back for you. The pool and beach had plenty of sun beds , and the staff made such an effort to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. The buffet really surprised me, i’m not usually one for buffet food, but they had such a variety of choices , and they changed daily, which was perfect. Evening entertainment every evening was a nice touch, it was lovely to sit and have a drink with background music, and the singers/bands/dancers were amazing. The restaurants are quality, really beautiful food, but make sure you pre book, as they get really booked up! We didn’t take our children with us, however, the children’s activities were fab, lots of choice, and no child would moan about being bored!! We would love to come back one day, and hopefully can bring the children with us! thanks so much Lux Grand Gaube for making our honeymoon so special.❤️

We had a wonderful stay at lux grand gaube, the staff were all super friendly and hospitable and always went above and beyond. Particularly Durgesh at the Bodrum blue restaurant whose customer service could not be faulted. Ainni who ran the pyrography class was also brilliant and so patient.

My wife and I have just returned from the most incredible stay at LUX* Grand Gaube, where we celebrated both my 60th birthday and our wedding anniversary, staying in Room 6009 that overlooked the smaller lagoon and included extra access to the Spa etc. A resort is only as good as its people, and the team were all excellent including; • The Adult Pool Team: The food and beverage service here was fantastic throughout our stay. A huge thank you to Mevin, Ansh, and Veer for looking after us so well while we relaxed by the water with regular drinks supplies in the cool box. • LUX Me Spa:* Sun at the spa reception was so welcoming going above and beyond and really helped make our relaxing break feel extra special. • INTI Restaurant: We ate here on two nights, and the flavors created by Chef Pedro and his brigade were absolutely amazing. Madhvyi and her team were fantastic, providing flawless service that made both dinners a highlight of our trip. • Smoke House Restaurant: A very special shoutout to Ashwan, who always seemed to have that first cold beer ready for us the moment we walked in! We absolutely loved his motto—that he was simply "busy making people happy." He certainly succeeded with us! • Beach Rouge: Nuud looked after us incredibly well each time we saw him and we also really enjoyed lobster night on the Wednesday; Isabelle was always a wonderfully warm and welcoming presence first thing in the morning when we went down for breakfast at the Palm Court. • Housekeeping: Thank you to Jessica, who did a wonderful job sorting out Room 6009 each day, ensuring we always came back to a perfectly clean and welcoming space. Finally, the manager, Ramesh, he appears to have really strong team supporting him. While I’ve mentioned several people by name, there were dozens of other staff members front of house always engaged with the guests along I am sure a lot working behind the scenes as well throughout the hotel.

Our stay at Lux Grande Gaube was excellent. We spent 2 weeks on honey-moon there on an all-inclusive package in a junior wellness suite in the adult only part of the resort. I'll start with our gripes first. The hotel can feel crowded peak-times (especially breakfast) which did occasionally effect service but 95% of the time we didn't have any issues. Second and biggest gripe, the honeymoon package/add-ons weren't good. The service for the dinner and breakfast by the pool were very rushed, and the fizz with canapes in the room were a joke (half a bottle of sparkling wine and 4 tiny canapes is hardly an "experience"). If we'd arrived with the full bottle in the room that would have felt a lot more special. We could of got one anyway on the all-inclusive package so why not just put one in the room anyway? For things to do we'd recommend a trip to Port Louis and the botanical gardens as an easy day trip (which the hotel can help organise), as well as a private boat trip with snorkelling to one of the islands to the north (cost around £400 but was easily the highlight of the trip for us), any wildlife enthusiasts MUST go to Confetti Cove to go snorkelling. The water sports included in the all-inclusive are varied and fun but the booking system was a bit convoluted for water skiing which meant you were often waiting a long time to get a go (this might be unavoidable due to tides though so I won't include it in the overall score). On a whole the room was great. Some nooks and crannies of the rooms could do with a deeper clean but on a whole the room was very clean and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, the bed was massive (and comfortable) and all the amenities were spot on. The 45 minute couples massage included with the room was a great touch. The resort looked excellent for younger families, but the adult only part of the hotel was so peaceful, it was impressive that the hotel managed to cater to everyone. Best part, the food. There are 6 restaurants and they'll all excellent. Plenty to keep you going over 2 weeks without getting bored! Our personal favourite was the Creole Smokehouse for lunch and Inti for dinner (this one isn't included on your all inclusive but is still excellent value with a 30% discount). Finally, the staff. All the staff were so welcoming and kind. From the ground-staff to the cleaners, everyone makes you feel welcome. We'd like to thank our cleaner Jessica, Romani from the Creole Smoke house, and Veer, Mevin, and Ansh from the adult only beach who were all wonderful throughout. There was one more lady in the spa (I can't remember her name to our shame, but her son turns 30 this year so hopefully that helps identify her) who made our day when we went for our massage. 4 stars would be harsh because we had a great time, a 4.5/5 seems better so I've rounded it up. There are small parts that let it down and I think that it offers so many "experiences" it just detracts a little from the smaller more sentimental moments. We would definitely recommend to anyone who was thinking about going, especially if they have young children. Thanks to the team at Lux Grande Gaube for a wonderful honeymoon.

Had a 3 night stay after our cruise what a way to finish the holiday you couldn't ask for a better hotel in a perfect place .The staff was excellent and could not do enough for you the villas were so nice we was all overwhelmed by it , The Turkish restaurant was really good for lunch and dinner ,for lunch there was also a burger shack which was fantastic . Buffet at breakfast and dinner was excellent with a lot of choice Even for gluten free and vegan. If you are going on a trip they do a very good pack lunch for you . Wish I had 2 weeks there
