Riu Turquoise

Great holiday hotel very nice. staff very good, food plentiful with good selection. Rooms always kept very clean and made up every day. Fridge stocked with soft drinks water and beer every two days. Pools and beach were lovely and kept very clean, Beaches cleaned every day with tractor Good water sports facilities. With free hourly use daily. Evening entertainment was not the best have had better at other Rui hotels. Overall lovely holiday

The rooms are al’cheapo, the plastic legs of the bed base were broken, not enough pillows, no duvet. When calling reception they said they only supply a duvet cover. There are not enough plugs in the room. The dining cutlery was dirty. This is definitely a hotel for a young crowd in their teens and 20s. It’s very very noisy. And lacks staff training and class for the price that we have paid per head per night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as a holiday destination.

Had an amazing stay at RIU Turquoise. Was there for 3 nights for my son's bday. Special mention to the Bartender at the Pool Rakesh and Anna at the Sports Bar. F&B Staff were also welcoming. FO Staff nice but just not enough responsive when I had an issue with my door lock at night. and Minibar not refilled everyday also is an issue.

After our 12 hour flight, we arrived on Mauritius very early in the morning. The transfer to the hotel took a bit over an hour. We were prepared to wait for the usual check-in hours to our pleasant surprise, our room was already waiting for us. Amazing view from the balcony, spacious bedrooms, spotless bathrooms… We are used to fake kindness of middle eastern hotels at RIU however the staff was heartwarmingly kind, unobtrusively, polite, and forthcoming, which was an extremely pleasant surprise. The chef even made special desserts for my lactose intolerant daughter - I was speechless! I cannot thank and recommend this facility enough! We will definitely be coming back!

First of all, upon our arrival we had to fetch the staff ourselves to come pick up our luggage. There was no one to welcome us. The room was okay but lack cleaniness. The biggest problem is the staff. They all lack manners and professionalism and don't know how to speak to clients. They are so unfriendly and rude especially at the bar. When you ask them for a drink its like you are bothering them. During the 1st day of our stay we went to the sport bar and asked the lady what cocktails do you have she replied exactly, "Ouff, should I really tell you everything on the menu?" Like she was annoyed and then proceed to hand us the menu harshly. Also many times while we were waiting for our drinks the staffs were talking a lot of nonsense and were using very vulgar language. They didnt even respect us. We put the tag to clean our room at 9 am and when we came back at 3 pm our room was still not cleaned. We even got dirty towels. The next day the lady told us to keep the open so they can come clean it later as their card don't work, which is unacceptable as anyone can come in our room. For the food sometime it was okay but it lack a lot of flavour. Every day was the same things. We even find a hair in our burger. The staff even spilled a whole tray of drink on one of my friends. The only good things is the location and the view. The service is bad. Its just a waste of money and time. Would never go back again! Thank you.
