Nice staff, clean room, beautiful beach, good food

Really nice hotel located directly at beautiful Le Morne beach. Astonishing views from hotel terrace /windows to Indian Ocean and local garden/mountains. Even though this is a fairly large hotel, we have been offered a nice room in a reasonably quite area as requested. Variety of different and tasty food offered through the day. Friendly and welcoming staff makes a true difference. Special thanks to ladies clening the room (Beth and Samsia) and gentlemens assisting at resteurant ( Abisheek - dinner and Kenny -breakfast ), as well as staff members working at reception desk (Sahil). I have mostly postive remarks regarding the resort: - picturesque location, directly at the sea with beautiful views on the Le Morne mountain (hiking route can be reached by walk from the hotel) - good All Inclusive package (meals, drinks, etc.) and very supporting staff - spacious and clean rooms - there has never been any problem with finding a free table in the restaurant or free sunbed either on the beach or at the pool - early check-in - without any additonal charges, we were given keys to our rooms around noon (which is 3 hours before guaranteed 3 pm check-in) However, I cannot give 5 stars due to below reasons: - the area is very windy, which might be perfect for kitesurfers, but if you'll walk around 1 km right from the hotel, where the wind suddenly ceases, you can see how much prettier and more accessible the sea could be without the wind - even though I have an extremely high respect for animation team which was working very hard each day, to be honest, I was usually dissapointed with evening entertianment shows. I think the main problem was that it was the same few guys doing every animation activity each day (from daily sports activities to mini-disco to main evening shows), instead of inviting some specialized proffesionals for specific shows (eg. dance group, music band, acrobats, etc.)

Our honeymoon at Hotel Riu Turquoise in Mauritius was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel special. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The setting feels like something out of a dream - pristine beaches, stunning views of the ocean, and a relaxing atmosphere everywhere you look. Paradise is honestly an understatement. Every part of the property is well maintained, and the ambiance makes it the perfect destination for a romantic getaway. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible service. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment of our stay. To name a few… A special thank you to Harsh, Wess, Adil, Bindu, and Nandini for their exceptional customer service. Their friendly smiles, professionalism, and genuine interest in helping made such a difference to our experience. They always took the time to check in on us and made us feel truly valued. The food, facilities, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. Whether we were relaxing by the beach, enjoying the restaurants, or simply taking in the beautiful surroundings, everything felt effortless and perfectly arranged. Fantastic location, amazing rooms, great value and very clean. Our honeymoon at Hotel Riu Turquoise will always be a memory we cherish. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a strong desire to return one day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly special escape in Mauritius. Thank you!

I’ll write this review with a caveat that I don’t like all-inclusives. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 3 week vacation to Mauritius. All in all the stay was just fine. It was located in Le Morne, with a very beautiful backdrop. However, the area is very windy and not a nice beach to swim on. I would be very disappointed if I came all the way to Mauritius and only saw this beach, which pales in comparison to others on the island. The staff in the hotel were the best part of the stay. All were very kind, warm with my daughter and helpful. The food was overall fine. The Indian restaurant was great but getting reservations in either restaurant wasn’t easy. We weren’t able to get reservations in the steak restaurant, even 4 days in advance. The rooms were kept clean by the staff but overall felt a bit bleak. The main dining area felt like something out of a prison. The gym was nice however several of the treadmills were out of order and it was very dirty all three times I went. Thankfully there was alcohol! The staff wasn’t afraid to give you a drink with the regular amount of alcohol in it. The cocktails were overall pretty good. All in all it was okay but I found it a bit depressing and I wouldn’t be back.
