SALT of Palmar

I have stayed at SALT of Palmar five times now, and it honestly feels less like a hotel and more like coming home. The welcome is always warm and genuine, with thoughtful little touches from Sakti that never go unnoticed. Rishi was also a pleasure to interact with. The F&B team truly adds to the experience as well. Bhavish, Med, Vikas, Reetesh, Sharvind, Heeroo, and many everyone else consistently create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere while delivering some of the best service I’ve experienced in a boutique hotel in Mauritius. Every visit reinforces why I keep coming. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful haven on the island.

After being alone for two weeks across seven countries in Africa and wanted to finish the trip with treating myself ! Friends who live Mauritius suggested SALT and it did not disappoint! Fresh food, no buffets, no single use plastic...the bed was so inviting that I even checked the label to buy one ! The bang room was stylish and I spent lots of time on my personal balcony overlooking the green ocean and turned off the air conditioning to fall asleep listening to the waves. I took advantage of as many activities with a trained yoga instructor for the 6am sunrise yoga and I took the kayak out several times and did the glass bottom boat to see fish and even snorkelled - thanks to the encouragement of the sports staff since I was hesitant - the small gym has what you need and the healthy snack balls kept me fueled! The other treat was having a water station that you could decorate sparkling or a flat water with herbs and lemon to stay hydrated during your stay! Finally, I'm an avid reader and read five different books from their shared library of quality books that elite to Mauritius and Africa and Travel! The repost was very nice. I was amazed that everyday they cleaned the beach. It always looked great. The staff were very friendly and exceptional. I wish they had just a buffet breakfast as it would have been easier and offered a greater variety. The rooms were good but starting to age. However, we walked out the front door to a very well kept pool and out the back door to the beach. Both 20 steps away - fabulous. After 8 days we did get sick of the same meals. No kids was a bonus as it was very quiet. Great early morning walks along the beach. Ravi did a great job at the small Tek Tea eatery. Damar's customer service was fabulous. The only change would be to their meal options.

We have been to many hotels in Mauritius but Salt of Palmar was exceptional. The customer service at this hotel was truly outstanding.It’s rare to experience such a high level of care and dedication—Mr Vish and Mr Rishi truly sets the standard for excellence in hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and highly professional, going above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with even the smallest details made a lasting impression.

As plant-based customers, we have had, by far, the best culinary experience at SALT. As Mauritians, we have beautiful innuendos to our tradition in the hotel concept. Now, for the service, that was truly exceptional! The restaurant especially, was constantly thoughtful and paid special attention to our dietary preferences - kuddos, in particular, to Mr Med and Mr Vish, the two persons in charge of the restaurant, who delivered impeccable service. We will surely be back again!
