Sugar Beach Mauritius

We arrived and the welcome was superb and the place is stunning , the grounds are immaculate so well cared for. Our room was beautiful with exceptional views of the ocean. I am giving sugar beach 4 stars as bar service is so slow. There would be 8 waiters taking orders for drinks in Buddha bar however only ever seemed to be one person behind the bar making drinks and if he was doing cocktails you could wait 20 minuets! There is beach service where you press the button on the umbrella . However this was not great service, didn’t always have someone from beach service arrive and if they did you waited ages for drinks quicker to go bar and get drinks. If you go I would recommend all inclusive as food and drinks really expensive.

Our stay at Sugar Beach Mauritius was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and welcoming. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds, breathtaking beachfront views, and luxurious facilities. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The food was exceptional, with a great variety and excellent quality at every meal. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, always friendly and attentive to every detail. Whether relaxing by the beach, enjoying the activities, or simply taking in the incredible sunsets, every moment felt special. Sugar Beach is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, honeymoon, or team-building trip. We left with amazing memories and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mauritius.

My wife booked our holiday after extensive online research and we can’t fault it. The staff from initial greeting to leaving were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect - no issues and a beautiful sea view. Shamila looked after our room on a daily basis, keeping it looking wonderful all of the stay. We can’t fault the quality of food and service at all the restaurants and bars - Maré Maré, Buddha Bar and the Patio. The staff in reception, the Life in Yellow boutique and around the resort were super friendly. The gym team were brilliant too. We both used the gym and my wife attended all the yoga sessions which were run by Anita (she was an amazing teacher) and were excellent. We both used the watersports too which were well run and friendly. The beach service team were brilliant too for cold drinks in the sunshine! We genuinely can’t fault the Sugar Beach Hotel and will definitely return when coming back to this beautiful island (which I would recommend hiring a car for and getting out to explore as it is fantastic). We liked the time of year too. Coming out of the Mauritian summer saw hot days but not too humid, with warm evenings but not overly hot. As a whole, a 10/10 experience!
