We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Sugar Beach - from the moment you walk into this hotel the service is 5 star to match the hotel. Special mention to Dushan for whipping up the best cocktails in Budda Bar he makes it look like a masterclass 👌 Sweta from El Patio made our dining experience seamless and ensuring a breakfast box was ready for our early morning trip also. 🎣 Joeic, Evans & Sourab from the Adult Pool services was also 5 star making sure we were looked after day after day even before our towels were lay down. Justin from reception was so great at meeting and giving us all the information at the start of our holiday about the hotel which made us feel at ease and able to enjoy fro. The moment we arrived. We will definitely return to this beautiful hotel 🇲🇺

We have just returned from an incredible two-week stay at Sugar Beach, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were made to feel so welcome, and we have created memories that our family will treasure for a lifetime. A special thank you must go to Teesha, who looked after our room so beautifully throughout our stay. The room was always impeccably clean, fresh and beautifully presented, and it was clear how much care and pride she takes in her work. It was always a pleasure returning after a day in the sun to find everything spotless. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the beach is breathtaking, and the whole resort has such a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. Everywhere you look is picture-perfect. The fitness centre deserves a special mention too. The facilities were excellent, and the variety of fitness classes on offer meant there was always something enjoyable to take part in. More importantly, the staff there were absolutely wonderful. Pamela and Isabelle were incredibly friendly, encouraging and welcoming every single day, and their enthusiasm made each class a real highlight of our holiday. They are a real credit to the hotel. We were also celebrating my parents’ anniversary during our stay, and the team went above and beyond to make the occasion feel so special. Those thoughtful touches meant so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness shown. We thoroughly enjoyed dining in all three à la carte restaurants. Each offered delicious food, excellent service and its own unique atmosphere, making every meal feel like a special occasion. The only small area where we feel there could be some improvement is with communication and organisation between staff. On two separate occasions, the “Cinema Under the Stars” event was cancelled without any announcement or notification. As a result, many guests, including ourselves, were left waiting and unsure whether the event was still going ahead. This was only a minor disappointment in what was otherwise a fantastic holiday, but clearer communication would make the guest experience even better. We also particularly enjoyed that guests at Sugar Beach can access the facilities of the sister hotel, La Pirogue. At La Pirogue, we specifically made excellent use of the complimentary watersports that were on offer. Overall, Sugar Beach is a truly exceptional resort with outstanding staff, beautiful surroundings and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sugar Beach to anyone visiting Mauritius, and we very much hope to return in the future.
