Sugar Beach Mauritius

Wonderful experience for the 2nd time. Great location, excellent food and fantastic service. Lots of activities for the entire family and my kids were really busy throughout the holiday. Anuradha checked on my family on a daily basis, ensuring that our stay was immaculate. Chesley went above and beyond by accommodating my family’s request to move our accommodation closer to the beach. Vishwanee ensured that our room was superb and filled with all the amenities of a luxury resort. Overall an anmazing experience and will definitely return soon.

We stayed 2 weeks and had an amazing stay. Thank you to everyone at SBH for looking after us. The rooms were a good size (family suite for 2 adults and 2 older teens), and well kitted out with chairs, sun loungers on the terrance, etc. We were fortunate to switch rooms to a beachfront room for most of the stay… literally 10 metres from the beach, but fair to say all rooms at Sugar Beach will have a good view. The sunsets are stunning. Food options were good with excellent buffet breakfast, and dinner in 1 of 3 restaurants at SBH (one of which is buffet) or the 2 restaurants at neighbouring La Pirogue Hotel. If you are Half Board you will have to pay extra for certain options at the non-buffet restaurants. The only gripe would be that you have to book well in advance (like 5 - 7 days ahead) at several of the non-buffet restaurants. Resort occupied by a mix of young families, families with older teens and couples. Lots of activities like free water sports, free yoga, etc., decent gym and tennis/ padel (both paid). Two good pools (one quiet adult, one for the younger kids) and excellent clean beach with good drinks and food service. The staff were amazing, attentive, welcoming - nothing was too much to ask. Too many to remember by name, but particular thanks to Anurada (guest relations), Bruno (Le Patio), Wasim (Concierge), David & Avi (Mare Mare) and all the Beach team.

The hotel is simply amazing. The service and the friendliness of the staff is unparalleled. Thank you very much for the nice days in Sugar Beach.

Great hotel for families. Lovely food and didn’t feel overcrowded, despite being a large hotel complex. The rooms could perhaps have been a little larger, but having said that, we didn’t spend too much time in it. If on half board, beware that the alcohol is quite an expensive add on and if you choose to eat at one of the restaurants (not the buffet), you only get a percentage discount off the price of the dinner. So it all adds up. The beach is incredible and the atmosphere is great. Would return. Lovely staff.

Since the day we arrived until the day we left. The experience was 10 out of 10. Staff was so friendly, The pool bar by the quiet pool, Soreb not shaw if spelt correctly, What a pleasure. Always happy to see us. He couldn’t do enough for us, Anything we asked for, he was on it. I had many conversations with him over the 10 days there. Reception staff. Excellent, Juliet & Mikel if spelt correctly, We had a delayed flight, So they got us another room for the extra night, We paid expectantly, We opted for the half board being there just one more extra night, As a good will they put us on the Fully inclusive free of charge, which we initially had for the previous days leading up to the last day of our holiday Until the delayed flight. Overall we couldn’t thought anything. Hotel, People,Resort,Restaurants, Food all very good. Many Thanks Sugar Beach Hotel 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.
